The staff was thorough, but quick with everything so we were there for less than 30 minutes all in. They have private screening rooms for checking your overall health and eligibility. From there they offer you snacks / drinks in order to keep you happy during donation(s). The blood draw room is off to the left when you enter and there are several beds. I donated platelets & plasma. The staff rolled their eyes in despair when the machine would beep. It was a lot of work squeezing my fist repetitively for hours. Their sourness made it worse. They kept trying to take my remote control, finally in wanted to keep it & asked one to please get batteries elsewhere. It was not fun.

The entry has two small fridges with waters and juices plus a variety of cookies and snacks for when you leave. I ate some beef the day before and hours ahead of going in, and I passed my iron test. The interview was done, and I was able to select where to lay as my blood was taken. Wonderful experience was due to how professional and friendly everyone was.

They also lifted their bruise ban, so now even if one arm has a bruise, you can still donate from the other arm. Vitals were done, I was soon on the slouchy chair to give up some of my whole blood. There were two employees manning the place that Sunday and three donating in the platelets drive area, which means they were there for at least two hours. My vein was pierced, the life juice went into the prepped baggy, and I received a lovely shirt, and there was even a cute water bottle this month! Great place to help others who might need that pint of blood.

I checked in for my appointment about 15-20 minutes before didn't get called in till 10 minutes after my appointment. Not that busy. computer kept failing so they tried to put my information in the computer. would fail, would have to start again after getting through that she put me in the room for the health check but the person in there said I never filled out a questionnaire which I imagine the first person would have set me up. they put me in front of a screen that was so washed out I couldn't read anything on it. I told them of my vision issues and they handed me a pair of broken headphones I tried to go through as best I can but the problem is you still need to press the buttons on the screen to confirm entries. I did mention about my vision issues but because its personal info, they can't help. My wife was there but they wouldn't let her help either. I did my best at the third screen I got an error message so I start from the beginning and of course you have to go through every option all over again and in the same place the computer errored out again and just spun. Coukdnt do anything . we are now an hour into my appointment with no progress so I mentioned to the front person to cancel my appointment when she looked me up I wasn't even in the system. Not sure if this was a normal day or it was me but what a not fun experience.
