One World Market is a really nice, niche grocery store that has the few things you just can't find anywhere else. But I wouldn't return for the sushi... not anything wrong with it. Just not great for the prices you pay. After a handful of times here, I'll say the service is always hit or miss. One young lady was beyond kind... the other two On my own.

Sometimes you get a craving for some fresh sushi, and I'm personally trying to be better about using apps for delivery, so I decided to pop over to one world market, this is a great restaurant and grocery store, I just picked out some random items that looked good from the fridge, brought them home and enjoyed them, everything I've had here is fresh and tasty! Staff is always friendly as well!

I absolutely love everything about this store. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful and they have amazing assortment of products from the Nagiri to their Boba to their fresh sushi, it is amazing. The store is so clean and it has a little Eden area on the side where you can get your Ramen and your sushi and eat it fresh right there. I go there at least once a month.

2 years since my last review and things have only gotten better! They upgraded the to go fridge and always keep that sucker stocked to the brim with good stuff!! Prices have gone up a bit with inflation but nothing unreasonable. Rice is always perfect, nothing is ever old! If you order at the counter, order before you shop and try to align your wait with your adventure. Pro-tip: Get a chirashi bowl and then top it off with some more fish and egg from the larger fridge by the freezer

Miss pre Covid kitchen menu. I miss the fact that they used to serve the food in the actually bowl not take away plastic box. I went there after sushi kitchen close so I tried the curry. Curry is pretty good, tastes and amount. The ramen is not as good as expected. Anyhow, it's still good to get grocery and sushi (esp chirashi). The ambiance is remained clean and well oriented. The staffs are nice as usual too.

A really intimate market with Asian flavors and products, One World Market offers an authentic food experience that introduces its patron to Japanese and Asian flavors. Fresh made sushi and other dishes, Japanese treats and snacks, and genuinely friendly service. I enjoyed that it was a small space, not a rushed experience, and the prices were so so fair. I wish that some of the sushi options provided more of a detailed description, but absolutely a place we will revisit!

Never seen this before Hello Kitty packs in these strips !

Ask the Community - One World Market

Do they sell sushi grade fresh fish to make sashimi at home?

The do! It is right next to their To Go case. I have bought it many times and it is always good!

Can I find a Lucky Cat there or Fortune Cat?

Yes, they do often have the Maneki-Neko figures there. As well as others.

The owner is always onsite and has a very warming story about the creation of this restaurant. It truly is amazing. You receive a tablet and scroll through selecting your choices which go straight back to the kitchen. They come to your table with your fresh appetizers, fresh veggies and very fresh meats and from there you're set to grill your heart out. If you choose to you're also able to ask for a fresh grill after cooking each meat too! It's promptly exchanged which is what we do between chicken, meat or seafood . It's a great place for small or large parties! You can't make a better decision than trying this place out and making it a regular spot to have an excellent, affordable meal, romantic dinner or celebration! Make sure you save room for fruits, a chocolate fountain, cookies and most importantly .... S'mores! Excellent touch!

Party of 2 and we got right in on a Tuesday night. Our server gave us a quick breakdown of how to order and she told us what they were out of and then left us to it. The salad /topping bar was very limited, but it had good kimchi and some fresh fruit. The first round of meat was only 2 pieces on a plate so not too intimidating. They mentioned to us that what you don't eat you get charged extra for so we didn't want to waste food. But our second order of meat was 7 or 8 pieces on the plate, which was harder to eat. The meat was all very interesting cuts of fatty meat that you have to be comfortable eating. We don't feel like we got our money's worth when the meat was not to our taste, but the environment was fun and the staff was very friendly.

The signage on the front of the building is practically invisible from the road - blink and you'll certainly miss it. The plates and dishes often aren't uniform or the expected stark restaurant-white; they're varied in style and color, perhaps collected over the years. There's no squeeze-bottle or ring-mold plating. Food often appears scooped and served in casual divisions on the plate (think Japanese Thanksgiving). The decor is pretty hodge-podged together. The prices are definitely below market. There's next to no staff. There's no music. I love it. It's amazing. It's an unpretentious, no-frills, exceptionally cozy restaurant that serves what is essentially home-cooked Japanese food - not fine dining, but certainly not standard takeout fare. The sushi is consistently great, and the rest of the menu is more hit than miss. Often not blow-your-socks-off amazing, but typically very good with a kind of "just like mom made it" quality that is deeply comforting and rarely evoked by a restaurant. Beyond that, the owners are kind, the service is quick, and the place is clean. Really no place I'd rather find myself slurping soup on a dark, chilly evening. So long as you go in not expecting it to be something it isn't, you'll have a great time here and enjoy what feels like a home-cooked Japanese meal.

Nothing completely blew me away, but I did really enjoy the kushiyaki. We definitely left full by the end. There was about a 15 minute wait on a Saturday around 7 pm. At first the setup was a little confusing, but our server explained everything well. You order from the screen at your table, and if you need help there is a call server button. It actually reminded us a lot of revolving sushi places we visited in Japan. At the end they even give you a little prize capsule, which was a fun touch since capsule toys were everywhere in Japan too. My favorite part is watching the sushi move around the restaurant. They also have little delivery cars and robot servers that bring food to the table. It never felt too loud or chaotic either. I would definitely come back again, especially with a group.
