I have ordered from here a couple of times- 2 cakes,3 or 4 cookie kits since the quarantine started, & 4 cake jars that they had for Mother's Day. The very first order I placed they were super friendly & met the expectations decor wise & taste wise. Cookie kits have been pretty basic, delicious & of course fun to do! This last one I ordered one was broken which isn't such a big deal since we are going to eat them anyways, but I feel the quality wasn't up to expectations. I had a pick up for 4pm Saturday (5/9/2020) I saw they posted they had a lot of orders to fulfill & were basically sold out. I arrived & I assume my cake wasn't ready I could tell it had been a very hectic day just by the customers waiting. The reason why I assume my cake wasn't ready is because of the writing "Happy" looks completely different from "Mother's Day" I didn't pay it much attention while in the store until I arrived home & took a closer look. I saw all the beautiful cakes they were posting on their Instagram story & I was really bummed out that my cake looked thrown together last minute. I feel as if the quality of the decorating wasn't met, all the cakes they post pictures of are beautiful with beautiful writing. I was very excited about it as I told them to just make me a beautiful cake. I only told them I wanted it to be a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse since that's what my husband likes. I left the decorating up to them & what they wanted to do since I knew it was going to be a busy day. That definitely didn't meet my expectations decor wise, but the taste was delicious. I had also ordered 2 vanilla cake jars with fresh strawberries & strawberry mousse, 1 red velvet with cream cheese, & 1 chocolate cake with chocolate mousse(they advertised it as Oreo mousse but I placed the order over the phone & they confirmed they would accommodate). I asked the guy to verify the order of jars was correct & it was not. So he goes & tells them in the back & Sofia replies with "look on the order whatever is the order is what we did" or something along those lines. They see it was their mistake & tell me they were remaking it. The vanilla cake jar with fresh strawberries & strawberry mousse was a big miss for me, as well as a friend I gifted it too. I haven't tried the red velvet but I really hope it's delicious since red velvet is my favorite. Customer service has been a big hit or miss with them, some days they are really nice other days they have an attitude. I only continue to go to them because that's one cake my husband has actually liked, but after so many different experiences with them I think I may give my business to a different locally owned bakery. read more

I just called because the delivery fee advertises $1.99 for delivery but when I called, I was told the delivery fee starts at $35. I clarified that that was just the delivery fee and not a minimal order amount and the gal replied that was just where the delivery fees start. This seems extremely excessive for just a delivery fee. I'm a fan of this bakery. It says donut store on the outside, so I wasn't expecting to find a fully stocked bakery inside. They have doughnuts as well as all sorts of baked goods, cheesecakes, cupcakes etc. They do not always carry the same items though, and they seem to run out of their coconut macarrons really fast, (they're really good). Their cherry danish is delicious and I really enjoyed their key lime cheesecake. It's fun to try anything here and there is always something new and different to try. I have also had their pumpkin spice latte which was really good. If you stop at VONS be sure to make a trip to this bakery to pick up something delicious. This bakery is my go-to! I first came across this place on yelp last year to plan a cake for a big family event. The owner/decorator Sofia (? Guessing her name based on other reviews) was so friendly and helpful in helping me plan out how big of a cake I'd need for the number of guests I had, as well as figuring out flavors to go with. I also ended up ordering a couple dozen macarons. I wanted to use a custom flavor (ube) and brought in my own flavoring and she had no problem at all making it work! Also ordered pistachio and espresso flavors. The cake turned out perfectly and she decorated it using fresh flowers I brought in at pick-up. I also came in a few weeks ago to order another cake for a family get-together. Sofia was so sweet and immediately remembered me from way last year. I wanted a specific design for my cake, but my party was on a Sunday (they're closed sundays) and if I picked up on Saturday, Sofia nicely let me know that my specific design wouldn't last well and gave me recommendations for a better design. Like the last cake, i brought in fresh flowers for her to decorate with and it turned out perfectly! The cake was also very moist and not too sweet. I also ordered a dozen macarons, lavender, peach and pistachio. The lavender was everyone's favorite and the peach almost tasted like cotton candy! 10/10 recommend one stop read more
