I called the number I received in my confirmation emails, turns out they were out of town. No delivery was offered to me, just a "when can you come pick it up when I get back?" (We chose to pick the order up instead of her deliver it because there is an additional $15 fee.) I asked for a refund and stated I'd never try to do business with her again. Apparently I was the rude one! I showed up at the designated time and place (on a road that's blocked off completely for construction, so I had to walk to her house a bit) to pick up something I paid for to be gifted to me, on Mother's Day. Is what it is, I thought I'd have a better experience at a highly rated local cottage bakery.

The cake wasn't spiced enough and was too dense, probably from a sugar soak. The frosting was terrible. If it was cream cheese, we couldn't taste it at all because of how sweet it was. It felt like it coated your mouth in powdered sugar.
