Ordered a cake from here earlier this year, finally got around to reviewing because talk of this…read morecake continues to come up in conversation to this day! I hadn't read the reviews before ordering, as I was frantic in trying to find a bakery that could do a small custom cake less than 24 hours before my Mother-in-Law's birthday. I was desperate and willing to take anything, and Leigh Anne was very sweet and patient with me on the phone. We settled on the Carrot L-Orange cake (heavenly). I forget the exact size, but I remember she said it would feed ~6 people which was perfect, and truly it could have fed up to 12+ people as that's how many servings we got out of it. That cake was tall, flavor-packed, and very rich. The complimentary carrot, nutmeg, and orange flavors had a warm spice that had me questioning why it had been over a decade since I last had carrot cake! It is criminally underrated in my peer group, or at least it was until we had this one. You know you've got a great recipe when even the folks who 'don't want any cake/don't like sweets' start eyeing it to make sure there's some left for them to try, and especially when they ask if they can take a to-go slice back home because they know someone who just HAS to try it. Thank you again for the beautiful, scrumptious, Delicious Design!

Choosing her to create our wedding desserts was one of the best decisions we made. She was communicative, knowledgeable, creative, and an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Because we weren't originally planning to hire a baker, we only had one weekend available for a tasting while we were in town. Renee went above and beyond by delivering our tasting cakes directly to our hotel, making an already busy weekend so much more manageable. She also took our accidental AI-generated cake Pinterest inspiration and turned it into a stunning reality. The cake was even more beautiful than we had imagined, and the flavor combinations were absolutely incredible. It tasted just as amazing as it looked. We heard nothing but compliments from our guests about the dessert bar, and by the end of the night, every last dessert had been enjoyed. Ironically, the only people who didn't get to try the dessert bar were us! The day flew by so quickly that we never had the chance, and it's honestly our only regret from the entire day. Thankfully, we brought the top tier of our cake home and are looking forward to enjoying it on our first anniversary. If it tastes anything like it did on our wedding day, we know we're in for a treat. We highly recommend Paris Custom Cakes for your wedding desserts. Renee is incredibly talented, professional, creative, and a genuine joy to work with. She exceeded every expectation we had, and we couldn't imagine having chosen anyone else.

I recently tried the chocolate basque cheesecake and it was extremely delicious. It's very creamy and has a good chocolate flavor. I did think it was a little on the expensive side: at $10.95, it fits in my hand. But it is a heavy dessert so I don't generally eat the whole thing in one sitting. I haven't had any of their other desserts as I'm not a big fan of these types of cakes, but they do have a lot of flavors available.

Finally got around to trying Crumbl in Carson City. It's a nice addition to the quick service treat…read morescene, but probably won't be a staple for my family. We stopped in to order and were directed to a pair of kiosks. I guess they don't do any in person ordering anymore? We ordered the 3 pack of mini cookies which was just under $9. Pretty crazy prices for three small cookies. There is no where to sit here, so be ready to take your cookies to go. There is just a large monitor which displays that they are working on your order and a small area to stand and wait. The cookies we ordered included the Oreo, Celebration, and Pink Sugar. Honestly, they were not amazing in any way. 2 of the 3 were rock hard on the edges and clearly over baked. The Oreo was ok. The calorie to size ratio is also pretty crazy, similar to the price to size ratio. The biggest competitor in this area for Crumbl is Dirty Dough, which is a better product for sure. They are on opposite sides of town though, so I guess Crumbl is great for people who live in the South part of town. Overall, Crumbl is ok. The cookies are easy to order, boxed up quickly, and are fairly tasty. They also rotate their flavors weekly which is a great perk that keeps you coming back. However, the prices are high and the quality isn't spot on, at least from my first experience here.
