The flavors were great and appropriate for the food combinations we ordered. Would recommend this place for a small bite to grab for lunch. Very relaxing atmosphere to have a small gathering. The service was good. The staff were kind and helpful when needed.

When you walk into the restaurant, it's pretty cool with interesting designs. There's a few tables there but it's mainly a to go spot. The service was good, I only picked up once but ordered through uber eats several times. I would say the food is great! I always get the spicy pork udon with the dumplings. It's not too spicy and it's flavorful. They also give some side dishes which is good too. I would def recommend this spot to anyone that wants to try Korean food. The only thing stopping me from giving it a five star is that I ordered once and there were several bones in my meal. Only happened one time but still careful always.

Small place . Very clean.Order off screen with pictures and description. Food was very tasty and reasonalbe price. Not much interaction with staff. Order food they quickly bring it out. Eat, clean your own table and throw garbage in trash. No frills.

We were looking for a place to eat close to the American Dream mall, and glad we found Ondubu. A small restaurant, but offers lots of interesting Korean dishes, in the form of Bibim-bap, hot & stoned bap, Bulgogi, Udon and Japchae. They have a good collection of small items too, Park-baos are the highlight among them. The restaurant is almost self-service. There's a tablet to put it in the order, and the food is brought to the table once ready. After the meal, we had to bus our dishes to the cleaning area. We tried several of the items, chicken baos, chicken and beef bib I'm-bap, beef udon, and seafood pancake. The entree dishes came with the side of pink salad (cabbage & cucumber) and spicy sauce. I found all of the dishes to be very well prepared, ingredients, sauces blended really well to create a delightful taste. The portion was just about right for lunch. From their menu, I found out they have another location in Paramus, Route 17, which is closer to my home. Looking forward to trying out that location too. Probably I would remember this for my future Korean food cravings. Food taste - 5/5 Food prep time - 5/5 Price - $$ Restroom - 4/5 Items Tried: Chicken baos - 5/5 (Spicy!) Nice spot for Korean food. Self order on kiosk or with staff. Most people do takeout. Lots different of choices on the menu. Hot stone rice/noodle, small hotpot, cold noodles etc. The flavor is def there. Will come back and try other items!

Wife and I ordered dinner here via GrubHub. I ordered the spicy beef tofu soup with purple rice and the wife ordered a spicy pork bimbim-bap. The tofu soup came in a large container and it looks a lot spicier than it is. The soup itself was tasty but lacks the garlic taste that you would normally get from tofu soups in other restaurants. The spicy beef in the bimbim-bap was delicious, but the vegetables seemed to be sauteed and not fresh cold ingredients you would normally get in the typical bimbim-bap as well. Overall, I would not hesitate to order here again, especially that purple rice is an option. I would get the spicy beef with purple rice and a fried egg on top next time!

A great addition to Park Ave. Tasty and fresh food and good service. They have it down with the self ordering as soon as you walk in. It's great for take out especially during the virus. It's all on their computer and there's hand sanitizer right next to it. We placed our order and in 15 minutes it was ready. I got the hot and stoned chicken teriyaki. The black sweet rice I got was great. The chicken was a little burnt but it was good. Great flavor overall. My boyfriend got the extra spicy seafood ramen. He was sweating by the end of it and he slurped every last drop. The seafood was pretty fresh too. The mandu was fantastic. Perfectly crispy, even for takeout. It was probably my favorite part of the meal. The purple pickle was sweet and had a great crunch to it. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're in the mood for some Korean food.

Found this place through yelp and decided to give it a try. I ordered this rice dish on a bowl stone with squid and my friend ordered the bibimbap. It didn't really take too long for the food to be ready. I liked my dish, it was good and they weren't cheap on giving the squid. I think the price is also fair for it being a "seafood dish." To be honest, there's really nothing to complain about. I didn't give it a five start because my overall experience and the food didn't make me go "WOW!" It was just good. I can't say anything about the bibimbap because I didn't get to try it. Overall, I would recommend this place!

Very cool and modernized Korean restaurant. We walked in and there wasn't many people inside, but it was because they were picking up orders instead of sitting in to eat! So many people walked in and out to pick up!! When you walk in, there is an iPad in the front left corner where you can order and pay without coming into contact with the workers. This was very convenient, easy and cool. We ordered our food and sat right down. When they were done, a server walked our trays to us and we started to devour everything on our plates. It was hot and so delicious. It was raining outside, so soup and hot bibimbap was really nice to sit down to. It was so good that we used the iPad to order another to-go bibimbap for my aunt and brought it to our hotel--however, she was so busy that she didn't get to see us and we ate it the next day!

Was by far some of the most delicious Korean food ever tasted. Staff was very knowledgeable on their menu items and will walk you through the process to ensure you get something you'd enjoy. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance was aesthetically pleasing and goes for the minimalist approach.

Love this spot! This is my 2nd time here and it's absolutely great each time. I can't wait to try everything on their menu. Portions are a good size, you end up taking food home with you. Flavors are on point, food is clean and fresh! You know you are eating vegetables, chicken, pork etc and not questioning what type of meat you are eating. The have a kiosk at the door that you can order with or go straight to the counter to place your order with a person. Fast service, they are very polite and attentive too. I can surely say I am a new regular.

Food was good and online ordering easy. Only concern is lack of masking in a small space. Will do curbside next time if possible.

The single hostess wasn't necessarily unpleasant but looked rather listless on her phone while we made our orders with her. I got the Jeyook Bokkeum (spicy pork) with purple rice. Can't really complain; it wasn't incredible, but it wasn't bad either. Banchan (side dishes) were decidedly average, however. We ordered the black sesame ice cream but halfway while eating it, we realized it wasn't actually black sesame (or at least didn't taste like it). Disappointing, but not enough to fully ruin the experience. Prices weren't great considering the quality of the food or location, but not prohibitive either. Considering the paucity of Asian food in Middletown, I'll give Seoul Sizzle a pass, but against greater competition, it probably wouldn't have lasted long in NYC.

And our meal came with soup, miyeok guk (traditional Korean seaweed soup). I love this soup; it's usually served on birthdays to celebrate life, so you don't usually find this in other Korean restaurants. It's light and savory. The owner is really sweet, but I'm glad the restaurant is thriving from the last time I was here.

When we arrived, it was empty so we were seated promptly. As we got the menu and looked at the cocktail section, I asked the server what was in it? It said the name and that was pretty much it - she proceeded to go ask someone and then come back and say soju and flavorings but didn't exactly say what goes in it which was the whole point. She goes and comes back with an answer. I was curious about the second option but didn't even want to ask her, so I asked another server. His attitude was atrocious - he said obviously soju and proceeded to name the potential flavors and at this point I was done. Frankly we should've stood up and left. We finally ordered. Pork bun, seafood fried rice, tteokbokki with additions, and 2 bottles of soju. Pork bun was ok - there's better and it's not worth the price here. Fried rice - it didn't amaze me enough to come back and there weren't enough seafood in it to justify the name. Tteookboki was a sad excuse of a dish where they used frozen rice cakes and barely had any spice or depth. Overall we ordered and paid a good amount, but the prices didn't justify the flavors or quality. Not to mention, I'm eating and look up and i see on the bar they just left a cleaning solution on top like it's one of the drinks. It seems like they cater towards the western palate, but any asians or those who have had real korean food - be aware.

The service was consistent, only once did we have to ask for refills for water. Food: we ordered the half and half raw marinated crab, bibimbap, abalone congee and fried oysters. Raw crabs: marinated and seasoned perfectly. We aren't a spicy loving family, but this was perfect amount for us that we could handle the spice. Our lips and mouths burned, but the good tingle, not the fire breathing 911 burn. lol Fried oysters: well battered and fried, nicely aromatic Abalone congee: perfectly textured and the abalone meat and taste was present. This helped offset the spiciness of the crabs. Bibimbap: not your average clay pot type, this was on a plate and with lots of green vegetables. Also delicious! The Bon chon was different and excellent. Variety of different vegetables, pickled and fermented. We enjoyed them all. FYI: there is a small parking lot as well

Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

Our waitress was nice enough when she took our order, but we never saw her again after that. We sat with empty water glasses until we finally flagged down a busser for refills. Meanwhile, the manager stood at the POS for about 15 minutes doing nothing. If a table clearly looks unhappy, with most of their food untouched, it would go a long way to stop by and ask if everything's okay. As far as I could tell, the only time the manager left his spot was to drop off checks and collect payment. He walked past our table three times while we were obviously done eating (one of us even gave up and went to wait in the car). When he finally brought the checks, he didn't ask if we wanted to box anything up. We had to ask for boxes ourselves, and he just dropped them off and left us to pour our ramen into them. Decent food, but the service made the whole experience frustrating
