I came to check out the cute indoor kiddie play area. They did not have a posted menu or printed menus, why? We had to go online to see the menu to order. I would recommend they print out menus with pictures especially for the Armenian pastries. It's not that pricey to print out menus and laminate then. I decided to try the Armenian pastries as have never had them. I ordered the fried beef patty and the beef Armenian pizza. The pizza is more of a thin crust flat bread than pizzza as it does not have cheese. I personally prefer the Latin empanada to the fried pastry. Also tried the cream puff- ok but not worth the $3.50. The chocolate croissant was bready than flakely as it should be. Other people in my party ordered the standard sandwiches and salads. They were happy with the salads for the most part. It seemed like the cheese pizza, wrapped hot dogs and sandwiches were ok. The changing a station is located in the single stall children's bathroom, why? It was busy so I ended up changing my baby on the sink in the women's bathroom. I recommend that they install a changing table in the women's bathroom also. They only have 2 high chairs so if you come with a large group, bring youur own bumbo chaIrs instead. The plastic chairs in the party room were pretty but seemed fragile. I would recommend that they buy more high chairs from ikea that are affordable and easy to clean for their clientele. The kiddos seemed to enjoy the spacious kiddie area. No it's not for kids to visit for free while you buy pastries. They charge $13 per child. Bring socks to run around in the kiddie area. read more

Finally an Armenian Bakery in the west side of the valley. Unfortunately, the Armenian Pizza felt short. The meat was ok - it could Isra little more seasoning. The mushroom pizza was sour- it had more tomato sauce and the mushrooms were chopped so small that you can't even tell what you're eating. It was bland as well. The spinach pizza was just eeehhhh...... The place was hard to find. It's located in the corner space of the shopping center and the sign is way too small. They also don't have the traditional Armenian cakes. They do have small selection of sliced pastries. read more

I didn't get a chance to take any photos of the catering we ordered because the food was gone within minutes. The food was delicious, we basically ordered the whole menu and everything tasted fresh and yummy. Suzy and her mom are incredible, warm people and I'm so happy someone recommended I come here when I was in a bind to get catering for a party of 20 people with a small budget. Suzy helped me pick out the menu (not an easy task since most of our guests were American and not used to mediterranean dishes, and most were vegetarian), but Suzy got me through it and we got more than enough food for everyone with no issues. My only complaint is that I didn't order more of the julienne (mushroom chicken cups) and everyone ate them and raved about them, and I didn't get to try it! I've been to several birthday parties here and I'm not impressed. The play area is lacking major upgrade. There are barely anything for the kids to play with, with some toys that were malfunctioning. While it is spacious, my kid was bored and kept coming out of the area several times. Also, the play mat was extremely dirty. Not sure how it got so dirty if people walk around in socks but looks like that wasn't the policy enforced before. Also, 2 of the stalls in women's restroom didn't have locks on them. I literally couldn't use the bathroom without the door opening on its own. Not sure what the reasoning behind it is. read more

We went there for a kid's birthday party and had so much fun! The place was beautiful and elegant and the kids loved the play area. The mommies loved being able to relax and enjoy our espresso! So excited Once Upon a Dream bakery is near me! This is the second location for Dream Bakery (noho) and they have all the same delicious fluffy Armenian baked goods (lahmajun, boureg, manaeesh, etc.) except it's NEAR MEEEEEE!! BUT.....they also have these super delicious and convenient lunch options! And dessert and ice cream and hard to find special Euro fruity drinks. What I'm most excited about is the new ready to go kid lunches they have. I'm a full-time working mother of 2 and the fact that I can pack a nutritious, healthy and delicious lunch for my kids without actually doing it myself, gives me more time with my kiddos. We looked on yelp for Armenian food, because I'm Armenian and there is a lot of it in LA compared to our home area near San Francisco; specifically, my Mom wanted me to hunt down chiburek for her. Once Upon A Dream Armenian Bakery came up as one of the first results on yelp for chiburek near us, and how lucky we were that it did!!! Incredible food and very nice people, with the added bonus of being able to speak to the Mom in Russian and Armenian, which is always so so pleasant! They worked quickly and with care to fill our big order even though we didn't call ahead. The dish adjarian xachapuri from the nation of Georgia is a favorite of mine, and Once Upon A Dream brought the adjarski game up another level; they suggested adding soujoukh (Armenian spiced "sausage") to the traditionally vegetarian dish, and it had me living in a dream! Their first location has been in business for over 25 years.Just a heads up if you want Gluten free you need to call in and order the day before. They have tons of selection you can see on their instagram page! It is tucked back in the corner so you won't see it from the street. Plenty of parking in the strip mall parking lot.
