Under new management and the older hispanic woman with short hair (in charge i'm guessing) is EXTREMELY rude and passive aggressive to customers. There is absolutely no need to rush customers out of the store or raise your voice at them to move. I used to enjoy coming to this location but i'd rather drive an extra hour to a different location than waste my time coming here. She has been unwelcoming on multiple occasions; aside from the terrible customer service the clothes are either stained, from shein (other cheap fabrics as well), or contain no variety. There is a Mexican woman named Zoey , she is a heavy set woman with tattoos on both arms, she doesn't know how to talk to customers, I personally witnessed her not go through clothes that was given to her by someone who was trying to sell at the establishment .. she didn't even take them out of the bag . Very lazy employee. If you ask me .. and she always have a nasty look on her face , I witnessed her, be very rude to a customer who was trying to pay for her items .. rushing her out of the line , and at the same time being disrespectful.. she should not be working in customer service , because obviously she hates her job ... hopefully these helps but I advise you guys to be aware before going.. and ask for someone else to check the clothes if your selling not Zoey because she doesn't check them at all. read more

I think it's safe to say we spend a lot on our children & sometimes just want something in return or other wise why not just give it away right? They will completely low ball you for even brand new items or hardly worn & offer 2% of what it's worth then sell it for way more. Don't even waste your time.. read more

It's well kept and the staff is nice. I just think they are very overpriced. Found this pair of jeans with the Marshalls tag of $12.99 and they were selling it for $13.99 . I was like what???? I rather go to Marshall's to pay the same prices for new clothes. The kids shoes are in boxes that often I can't reach so don't even look through, I'm 5'3 so not really that short but short enough to not be able to reach. When you go to sell they are nice, and of course they pay you very very little but you know that from the beginning. The owner like the toiled with every single piece in it, which is completely fine I agree, BUUUUUUUUUT they are selling incomplete stuff? Like missing a window or something. And I'm like . I just wanted to write this review because I felt a strong need to defend this place, as I was skeptical about going after reading the multiple negative reviews. I mean my God for the person who actually said it feels like "rape" walking out of that store referring to what they offer you is the utmost ridiculous and inappropriate review you could give for a thrift store for children. It seems that people like that are highly unrealistic about both the costs of a brick and mortar business and the value of what they bring in to have someone else resell their unwanted, and probably "unreturnable" item(s) for them. Yes they are going to offer you 3-5 times less than what they will put on their price tag, regardless of the item being new or like new. They have employees to pay, who I communicated and interacted with perfectly fine. On the same note yes, they will put price tags with the prices they want to put on the item, whether it's close to the "price on the original tag" that item could be no longer in production or they simply have the right to price what they feel will sell, then maybe mark it down to clearance. Anyway the only negative I really found was the toy selection was scarce and I did not find anything close to what I would feel comfortable letting my child play with, so maybe as a suggestion they should find a way to get some better quality variety of new toys like how they sell new bows and other accessories. Overall I thought the store was well organized and had a good experience selling and buying. read more

Beware of the Facebook games they play. I got a message that I won one of them. After getting excited that I won I get another message your not the winner sorry. They did absolutely nothing about this so called mistake to make it right. If they are that rude on Facebook I can just imagine how they treat people in their store. I really can't stand it when you walk in a store to spend good money and you go to check out and you are invisible. I literally had to wait until the girl that would check me out got off of her phone texting. There was another lady behind the counter doing something like putting tags on clothes etc. I'm not sure. Bottom line, neither one acknowledged me for at least three or four minutes. To add injury to insult, when she did start to check me out, she walked up to me and just gave me a blank stare. No "hello are you ready to check out" or "thanks for shopping with us did you find everything you need". Nope. Not a word. I guess it was my privilege to be able to shop in their store, not the other way around. It's a damn resale shop. You ought to be glad anyone comes there. It was a Sunday afternoon and I was the only damn person in that place. Go to the Pearland location, much better and much friendlier employees. Will not be going back to this one read more

First off, management is awful and the employees are even worse. Brought in a box of items and had multiple pieces of clothes returned ruined that was either wrote on with sharpie or torn. They lack the customer service and decency of respecting the customers item being brought in. I'm very surprised this place is still a functioning business as of now. Not worth it. Pay low prices on new never use children clothes. I would rather give them away.

I have a few points to make, it's honestly ridiculous. Brought in a large FRESHLY LAUNDERED tote filled (by size) with brand new OR once worn clothing (there were no "favorites", lady) because I bought SO much clothes for my daughter when she was born. (First time mom thing lol). They took a few things, maybe $20 worth and proceeded to explain some of the clothes were "peeling" (I'm guessing she meant piling?) when it's the type of fabric that softens when washed ONCE. Also said some of the designs were messed up when that ... was the design and intention of the print? Moving on... A) The employees are passive aggressive and try to whisper about your clothing (we can hear you) and have attitudes about going through clothes. Try talking with your fellow employees where the customer can't hear you talk. B) The selection is atrocious and out of date, which brings me to C) They have absolutely no idea what they're looking at or buying. They say they're at an excess of onsies but they're worn down, some toys are nice but most are sticky, worn and missing paint. The training potties have god knows what on them since they left residue on my hands and RIGHT at the register, when trying to explain why they couldn't take practically brand new clothes, there's a ratty, majorly drawn on table they're trying to sell. What? Whole place needs an overhaul, starting with employees and donating half of the clothes. (Boy, did I see some actual piling, especially in the same types of sleepwear section). I'd suggest the locations in Katy and Westheimer, the employees aren't kids and are so nice and sweet! (They assured me my clothes wouldn't be accepted there, but sorry, I've already brought some there from the first overhaul). PS, please turn your music down, I can barely hear my family speak while trying to pick through clothes you apparent DO take. Its highly annoying and I can only hear JESUS screamed into my ear for so long. No wonder there's never anyone there when we pass by. read more

I have been a Once Upon A Child shopper for over 7 years. When the location opened in Richmond/Rosenberg I was thrilled to have it so close to where I live. This store is a bit smaller than the store I used to shop at, but it has indeed proven to be just as wonderful as the larger store where I used to shop. I am a frequent shopper at Once Upon a Child, and most of the time I find exactly what I'm looking for at a bargain price. The staff is not only courteous and helpful they also know their inventory and many times have helped me find the exact item I need.
