I was looking for pots similar to what my grandmother gifted me, I found a nice nonstick pan but the cashier said I can't use metal on it because it will take the nonstick off. Always great clothing and shoes for the whole family. However I have been two days in a row and only one lady is working the front end. Today there was a gentleman up there but was laughing with the one woman working and there was a line both days. Today I made an exchange after waiting in the line the lady put my yesterday purchase in a bag and said to go get the larger size and come back. Thank goodness I was fast enough for the line not to build back up or I would have had to wait again!! read more

We have had the catalog issues that others mentioned. However, we don't order from the catalog much anymore, since they did away with the paper catalog and their website is an un-navigable mess. The women's large size section has pretty nice stuff and very good prices. The store itself is bright and pleasant. read more

I was so excited about trying JCP. I have not been in years and thought since they re-did their motto that i would give it another try. I was also in need of an eye exam so I thought i would do the 2 at the same time. The optometrist was very nice, but her 'office' is not an office, JCP stuck her in a closet!!! And not only that, once it was time to look for frames I had to leave the office, walk around to the store, strolled through the store for a good 20 min (no one to assist me) before I found it shoved in the BACK of the store!!! I was ticked off by that time and very disappointed wit h everything. She is a good doctor, give her what she deserves!! The prices are lower, but clothes are crappier than they where before! There is a, if you will, salon in there as well but you would never know... it is also shoved in the back. These poor employees will never go anywhere if they are always stuck in the back... This location needs to be gutted and started over. FAIL! read more

This store has been hit or miss for me depending on the day of the week and time of day I shop. They have a great selection in my size and the jewelry and handbag sections are great! The staff is friendly and helpful - it's not unheard of to be greeted multiple times by many different staff members. The prices even when not on sale are very affordable and the clothes are long-wearing. I am very happy to have this store so close to my home. read more

I used to be a frequent shopper at JCPENNEY. I am unsure what changed within corporates decision. However, this location in Rosenberg is a complete disaster. Many items are misplaced. Racks are so crammed together you can never find what you are looking for. Staff is nothing short of probably the most unprofessional group of employees who seem miserable at work. If you must shop at JCPenney I suggest go online. Don't waste your time going into the store as you will spend three times as much time searching for what you are looking for and then standing in a long line. Seems like corporate needs to take a visit to this store and retrain this staff. Maybe a bit if morale boosters and less chaoticness will help! read more

I had the most amazing customer service experience with one of the most amazing Sales Associates that I have ever met in my life!! Donna was her name and she has a hearing disability but is absolutely amazing and truly passionate about the brand and the customer experience!!! I truly adore the work, the zeal and the passion that Donna displays customer after customer!! She is consistent and a pleasure to have assist me!!! Great job Donna!! I like this JCP store. It's clean and has some nice sales. It's well organized and the associates are friendly and knowledgeable. You can't beat JCP for there quality of merchandise and the sales and coupons that go hand in hand. I would shop this JCP again! read more

These 3 stars are for the JCP store itself. Three for the three very helpful employees. Audrey, Stephen and I didn't catch the other young lady's name. I believe one of them is the manager and she was exceptionally professional and helpful. Stephen was also very professional and made certain I was happy with my visit. Unfortunately, I wasn't. I understand completely we are all struggling to function during this time. I understand the importance of supporting businesses- but I also understand there are plenty of people who need and want a job right now. I'm speaking about that one particular employee that didn't want to be working- was scared to death of catching anything. Ok- face masks are important. Glasses- you need them. Changing gloves constantly was actually amusing since it was apparent you really weren't doing anything but helping a certain group of people. Which may seem to have bothered you? I don't mean to call it out like I see it, because maybe they didn't see it but I did. This associate obviously has a problem with a particular race of people (I can't believe in this time period) I have to even mention this! They had zero clue as to how she was reacting any time she thought they weren't looking. What's sad is that even though they didn't see it- those of us around did. She doesn't need to be working with the public if she's going to selective. That's all I'm going to say about that. No, I won't be returning to shop at this JCP. Okay I love the store but the people working the floor are not that great. No help at the jewelry counter unless you chase the two ladies down chatting amongst themselves. Tried to find my son a teaching watch and I was told over there or on the tables. Yep that right the waving finger with no help. I've already looked at that nothing.She suggested the children's department. Really $50 watch for kids in the clothing I looked. She never offered to look it up or order it for me. I'm not sure why I go in. I can shop myself of the Internet. Also the time before I said I wanted to pay my credit card bill at the store never had a problem doing this I love to being quick turn around and not forgetting. Don't even think about buying appliances here or from JC Penney. Dented delivery washers, no supervisory process for the consumer, long holds on the phone regarding delivery, no single person for help, each area has no knowledge of any other area of the process, and eventually I had to contact the Samsung manufacturer just to get a $500 washer delivered. Penney's should get out of things it isn't prepared to serve the customer with. I will never buy anything from them that I cannot walk out with. An absolute and total disaster of an experience. read more

First off this store is always very hot and uncomfortable. Second no one ever offers to help or assist the customer. The plus size clothing is Awful! I go to Macy and Dillards they have a decent selection to choose from and employees who are willing to help the customer. read more

I'm only giving it a one star because I can't give it any less. Their optical department mishandled my glasses and it took them almost 2 full months to get them to me. Once I did get them the right lens wasn't even correct. I demanded that they fix their mistake and they said it would take another 3 weeks for them to give me my glasses back. They wanted me to go 3 months without my corrected vision. I tried to be patient with them and I only got burned. I hope no one else does the same mistake. read more

People in catalog are very weak. I had several problems with trying to return merchandise on two different occasions. Then on another occasion, I called to check on an order, and I was put on hold for five minutes, and no one came back to check on me. read more
