Strangely familiar and I can't quite understand what drawn me to it but I will definitely come back for another visit. Perhaps next time I will come alone so I don't feel rush. The actual gift shop does not charge an entrance fee. They do advertise and charge people an entrance fee when they have their craft fairs. The gift shop itself is actually a converted house. The employees are very nice and helpful. The Red Potato has a lot of every day gifts as well as seasonal stuff. They have items you probably won't find in the mall. The best deal we found was a Lenox cake/knife set we used for our daughter's wedding. It was a really good price. It's a drive out for most, but it's not a bad drive.

My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The prentice manager is a criminal They delivered the wrong furniture to my home and promised in writing that the correct items would arrive within two weeks. Two months later, nothing has been delivered. They initially changed the timeline to four weeks, then demanded another deposit, engaging in what is clearly a bait‑and‑switch tactic. On top of this, they have double charged me and are essentially taking money out of my account at will, with no explanation or accountability. I have recorded conversations with the manager who repeatedly made promises they never fulfilled, yelled at me, disrespected me, and treated me as if I was trying to "trick" them -- when all I wanted was what I paid for. There is no real corporate number, headquarters, or escalation option. You are completely at the mercy of the individual store you deal with. Their lack of accountability and transparency is shocking. This company needs to be shut down. They operate like a scam, leaving customers frustrated, out of money, and without recourse. Do not deal with Buddy's Home Furnishings. Protect yourself -- there are plenty of other reputable furniture providers who actually honor their promises. Buyer beware -- stay far away.

Today was my mom and I first time visiting an Ollie's store. We had a great time, at first. The…read morestore was clean, organized and there was a great selection of books. The problem came when it was time to check out. The guy on the first register from the checkout line to the left around 1:45pm on December 24, 2024 is the reason I am leaving this review. My mom and I were next in line to checkout and the other registers were occupied by other customers alsobchecking out. When the young cashier guy finished ringing up his customer instead of checking us out next, he walks off and pretends to busy himself with something which was very obvious he didn't want to ring up anyone BUT when the next register opened up and my mom and I walked to the next cashier he immediately went back to his register to take the next customer behind us. At that moment it was extremely clear he didn't not want to ring us up for whatever reason but that was extremely rude! I don't want to say race was a part of it but I can't think of any other reason he choose to intentionally not ring us up when we had the same amount of items the customer he helped before and after us had. This really messed up our first time experience at Ollies. The cashier lady to the right side we ended up going to was very nice and signed my mom up for the Ollies Army rewards. After we left I called and spoke to the manager, I think his name is Mike or Michael. I explained what just took place and he was very nice and said he will run the cameras back and also notify upper management. We appreciate him for hearing our concern and not dismissing us. Hopefully the cashier takes a customer service course or finds a new job where he free to be rude else where. This was very upsetting to be treated the way we were and it being obvious in plain sight. Hopefully a real consequence for the young boy comes out of it.

I also had an issue at checkout where I was accidentally charged twice for an item. When I brought it to the employees' attention, the overall interaction felt a little unwelcoming, as though they were frustrated or annoyed. I understand that employees can have busy or stressful days, but I hope the store can work on creating a more welcoming and positive atmosphere for customers.
