This location is extremely inconsistent with its service. Staff members pick and choose when they want to accept items, and the facility often has an unpleasant odor. Many employees appear disengaged and uninterested in providing quality customer service. Additionally, they routinely offer unreasonably low prices for items. I like this location. It's definitely better than the one that's close to my house so I don't mind making the drive. The girls are nice and considerate. And they give you a good amount for the things you bring in. Currently here waiting for my stuff. The ladies spend more stuff talking, and chatting rather than looking at your stuff. They have a kid in here without shoes, helping out to stock... it's kind of messy compare to the other ones I've gone too. But I get it, kids stuff gets messy. Still, instead of talking and chatting every couple of minutes, they could be working and cleaning you know? Not too long ago one of the girls checking the stuff took a phone call and stayed on the call for about 5 mins when you could literally say " I'm at work, and hang up." You know? This has to be the worst secondhand store I've ever entered. I came in wanting to sell some used items a bassinet some diapers some unopened formula and clothes automatically with attitude she took out the diapers took out the formula, rejects the bassinet because there are some few stains, of course a child will throw up and she had informed me that clothes items have to be in a basket and not in a bag. For a place that smells like piss they are very fucking picky and the only item that they took was one item a wooden tummy time toy. I left my number my email my check-in information and it is the next day I never got a call or text for a quote. Been here a few times. I'll keep it simple. -Come here for 0-3 clothing. In particular newborns. -If you have the coin don't bother reselling once outgrown. Give it away to a friend/family member. -Keep you expectations for a retail looking store low. It's a resale shop. -Visa or cash. No Amex It's a good place to find some okay stuff and once in a while some nice stuff. Really came to save some $$$ because my daughter outgrows stuff so fast. If you can, stop by once every couple months and buy some stuff in advance. Your kiddo(s) will be rocking the wardrobe for less than 1/2 the cost. read more

I can always find great deals, but it is a huge mess that requires a lot of digging. The staff is pretty consistently rude. It doesn't matter if you are asking a question, checking out, selling clothes, etc. Mainly, everyone seems like they hate their job. No one looks at you or smiles. The biggest complaint that I have is I have been in there 2 different times, with my daughter, and heard REALLY inappropriate language in the music. I asked about it both times and they said, "I don't know. We just play what is on the radio." This was a joke! I brought in perfectly folded and clean, barely used baby clothes and waited for more than an hour (was told it would be ten minutes)! Everything was given back to me unfolded and messy and I was told that these sizes were overstocked and I could bring them back another time. Had they told me preemie-3 mos was overstocked, I would have moved on. They bought $17 worth of size 6 clothes, but $17 will never be worth an hour of my time. They knew I was giving them 0-3 month clothes when I walked in! Never again!! read more

I have usually had a nice experience. Today was a real shock with how they treat customers that have been shopping for several years at this location. During checkout my acct showed an$4.22 coupon to redeem and that it expires in 12 days. When I asked to use it, she said I needed the coupon. I explained that it shows it on my acct. we went round and round for several minutes, never once agreeing. I am still not sure who is really to blame, the sales rep or ownership that put her in this position to have to explain this. Unfortunately, I am very unsettled by the situation and won't be coming back for quite some time, if ever. If the want to give out coupons, give coupons, that's awesome. Please don't put on the rewards memebers' accts to redeem coupons that are not available. That's confusing. read more

I'm sure they're overloaded with onesies and simply don't have room for more. I've been in TX for 4 months now & I haven't had a chance to go here, baby was 6 weeks old when I arrived. I love Once Upon A Child because I find good deals on high end brands sometimes. In this particular store I found 2 beautiful baby gap coats that look like $60+ worth retail and I only paid $8 & $7 for each. Really looking forward to going back to this location for that same reason. I've sold clothes and purchased clothes from here and I haven't had a bad experience at all. A couple times I questioned (to myself) why they accepted some of my items and not others (much better condition and top names i.e. Mini Boden and Tea) but I don't come here to make a huge payout, I come for the convenience. I have given this store multiple tries over a period of 2 years, but they cannot seem to get their marbles in a row! I have spoken to a store a manager both over the phone and in person on different occasions and nothing changes. Below is a listing of what I have personally experienced. I am a thrift shopper so I am well versed in what are appropriate expectations, too: - MOLDED baby items like baby rockers and the elusive Rock N Play. They do not take the covers off to inspect. I found it on 2 items. - Stained and dirty clothes - visible - this means it wasn't inspected - I had to throw them away, so my money was wasted - Shoes with insoles so dirty, they were brown/black, meaning again, no inspections - Old and dated baby items like strollers, high chairs and the like. I'm talking items you can tell were from the 90's or early 2000's. Yet, they turned away my multiple Janie and Jack boy clothing items stating they were "old-fashioned". Excuse me?! Unless it is Victorian get up, how is classic baby clothing old fashioned? - Speaking of boys...85% of the entire store caters to girls. It is bottom of the boy barrel here. I am lucky to walk out with pajamas or a backpack. - Clothing with lots of wear, fades, missing buttons and pilling, but priced extra high because it is a "name brand" + clothing priced higher than it is new - Toys most always are missing something. You are better off at Goodwill or other thrift stores. read more

I want to like this location because they really have a lot of everything but none of which I want to purchase. I go to other locations and leave with $90 worth and only once in my THREE times here have I bought one something. They have rows and rows of not good shoes. Shelves of toys nobody wants. Aisles of clothes but nothing spectacular. Definitely wish they would have a better selection, quality wise not quantity. And the workers are not cordial or helpful at all. I usually love coming into here , the girls at so kind and always greet you and you can tell they have a good time. I m not sure what has changed in there dynamic but today it was different. All the girls were very quite and had they're heads low. What really was overwhelming were the two bigger woman in the front who were talking about they're coworkers and the work place horribly so loudly and upfront with a good amount of people in the store. Very unprofessional. They took a long time to even notice i was there when ready to checkout. Very high school bully like. I went to sell some items today, first let me say that everything i took was washed, ironed, in great condition. Some items were new. The first girl that helped started picking out the items she liked, then she'll give them to someone else that will put it in the system and prices it. The person who was pricing was very slow and kept questioning her about "are you sure that this is ok to buy". And she kept talking to other co-workers instead of pricing. I found that very rude and disrespectful. They also don't tell you why they don't take the items they don't buy. I wouldn't go back there again. I went here the other day for the first time to sell some of my sons old clothes. From first impression it looked like a nice store to get some clothes on a budget. I would shop here, but never sell again. I came in with 3 trash bags plus 5 small grocery bags and a couple toys. I left my items there since the wait was almost two hours. They did call me in the time frame the estimated but when I got my appraisal I was a little shocked. They had mixed my clothes with someone else's. They wanted to offer me about $30 for about 10 pairs of shoes, the toys and some random items that werent what I brought in. After taking the offer for the shoes and toys I went home. After then I found out that they never even opened or looked through the big bags of clothes. Huge dissapoimtment. Wont ever waste my time selling here again. read more

I saw some shoes on the shelves behind the check out area and asked if they were for sale, was told yes, but then told no because they were on hold for an employee. This place is wonderful! (( if you're having a hard time finding it, it's next to Harbor Freights. )) they have a fabulous selection of baby-toddler-children clothing, shoes, and toys. I've never bought shoes, but I have bought lots of clothing and toys. They have a reward punch card, spend a certain amount then get a discount. I have never traded in items, but I've seen tons of people do it, so I assume it's well worth it. If your looking for reasonably priced children clothing and toys, this is your place! read more

Wow. PATHETIC. Ive worked in retail before, thrift shops even. Blackbird, worked at Platos for awhile to, so i know how the buy sell business goes. I go in with a bunch of stuff, they only take $13 worth. Then they tell me they wont take the walker because there is no stoppers, even though the stoppers are in a bag labeled "stoppers", in the box i gave them. This tells me they did not look through it at all. What can you expect, youve got a bunch of dumb, carless high school girls working there. So i walk back in after my hour wait, after ive got my $13. I show them that the stoppers were in the box, make it known that it is their error!! Still the idiot that helped me, some mixed race chick, is like "...ohhhhh" so they tell me i have to re-sign in and wait again. Never coming here again, yall ruined my day. Made a yelp account just to let everyone else know, dont expect common sense from their employees. All it took to resolve the issue is to apologise, and say let me help you out with that.
