We had two little kids that were obsessed with the candy bowls, and my wife's elderly (we are of Indian origin) parents who . . . let's just say, they had a lot of interesting questions. The rooms were really nice...very clean and spacious. This place accommodates dogs. Let me rephrase, they welcome dogs. They had a cot for each of our dogs to sleep in, treats, poop bags, and a coupon for the neighborhood pet shop. I think it says a lot about a place when they welcome dogs with such open arms. Outlook Inn is also situated near the downtown area and is walking distance from some nice shops and restaurants. This doesn't count towards this rating but Orcas island was beautiful. I highly recommend you visit and stay at Outlook Inn, especially if you have a dog.

At one point she raised her voice, which felt completely inappropriate. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like I was bothering her just by asking basic questions. Not the level of professionalism or hospitality you'd expect, especially from a manager. I am surprised that this is the manager of a hotel.

The Heather Cabin appears to have been built perhaps in the 1930's and retains its vintage charm. The Heather Cabin is very well maintained and has everything you need to be comfortable. The cabin is right on the water and the views are amazing and ever changing between morning, during the day, and at sunset. Pictures describe better than words do, so here are some photos from our stay. Thank you, Cabins-on-the-Point. We'll be back.

I could only give 3 stars tho because the bed was so uncomfortable we both woke up with back/neck aches the first day and the 2nd day at about 4:30 in the morning and just stopped even trying to sleep. Mattress is hard and you always roll towards the middle. Pillows are too thin to tuck between us to keep us from rolling. Lol. We had the most decadent, flavorful, 5-star French dinner and breakfast that was prepared by chef Nicole using fresh herbs straight from their beautiful garden. We were served by Henri, who also paired a perfect wine with our dinner and kept us entertained with great conversation. Val gave us a full tour of their gorgeous brand new stables, and introduced us to all the horses. We didn't have time for a riding lesson on this trip, but now we know to set some time aside and will be scheduling a lesson for next time. We had booked their least expensive room, but on our arrival Henri informed us that we'd been upgraded to our own private cottage at no additional charge. The cottage has an open floor plan, like a studio apartment, and came equipped with a full size fridge and gas stove/oven. The kitchen cabinets were well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and even essentials like olive oil, so you could easily prepare your own meal (but I definitely recommend Nicole's!). The living room contained a really lovely chess set and a few other games, as well as DirectTV and a stereo. We had our own private hot tub out on the front porch. We really enjoyed sitting outside and looking out at the pond. The whole environment is so serene. The only sounds are crickets and birds. The main thing that really sold it for us was the amazing hospitality - we felt like family. We were only here for one night, but absolutely fell in love with the place and are sure to return. Merci beaucoup, Nicole, Henri, et Val! A bientôt!

You can tell someone put care into creating a space that feels relaxed and enjoyable. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends. Disappointing - I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was too frustrating to stay silent. I ordered a Chardonnay and was shocked to see the pour -- a measly 4 oz for $7.99. That's barely more than a tasting sample, and certainly not what you'd expect for the price. To make matters worse, they informed me there was a two-drink limit per hour when I asked for another glass 1hr 45 min later at the outside table with my family. I politely asked for another glass and was refused, despite being completely sober, weighing over 190 lbs, and standing 6 feet tall. There was no reasoning, no discussion -- just a flat-out refusal I can't serve you ar this time. The staff's tone? Cold at best, condescending at worst. If you value fair service, reasonable pours, and basic respect, I'd suggest you take your business elsewhere. Friendly staff? Not quite. Overpriced micro-pours and arbitrary limits discriminating absolutely. Cabins are cute but then that's the only little bar/ convenience store on the property so it really ruined the flavor of this cute place. You've been warned.

Second, an Inn employee hit my brand new car (Mercedes Benz with 100 miles on it) while I was getting a treatment. As I was leaving, the Innkeeper or Manager laughingly told me my car was hit. I thought it was a joke because he kept laughing and telling jokes. He had not called to report the accident and didn't notify me until I was walking out the door to catch a ferry to go back home (live on island). I finally told the manager (or whoever he was) that thanks, but I wasn't in the mood for humor given the circumstances. I had to call the Police to make a report. The report clearly showed the employee was at fault. Given that we live on an Island, this is going to cost us thousands - not even to mention the huge depreciation on a brand new car. After some consideration, it seemed reasonable that perhaps the Inn would credit my stay given the circumstances. My wife called the Inn and spoke with the manager and owner. At first, they immediately hung up on her saying "we don't have time for this" - she was being very polite. Flabbergasted, she called back, and they said we don't care about your situation or that our employee hit your car. Call the insurance company. They were exceptionally rude about it as well. Finally, there are other accommodation options in La Conner. I highly recommend them over Blue Heron. People like this don't deserve our business.

This is a lovely property where seemingly every guest gets a water view. In the mornings I would raise the shades and watch geese and dear roam around the field that runs to the waterfront. As the day wore on, the resident goats, chickens, and pony took their turn in the yard and the tide moved in and out, constantly changing the scene and providing something new to see, hear, and photograph obsessively (a handful of pics capturing my willing subjects are uploaded here). The hosts are extremely friendly and, in my opinion, quite special in that they leave the degree of guest interaction entirely up to you. You receive directions to your accommodations with your email confirmation and can let yourself in without assistance. However, they are eager to make themselves available any time you have questions, want recommendations, need something, etc. To me, this makes PCF great for everyone from a family looking for guidance on an activity-filled vacation to a couple seeking privacy during a romantic getaway weekend. As described in other posts, the attention to detail here is phenomenal. The setting may be rustic, but the rooms are very nicely appointed and extremely clean. My suite had beautiful wood flooring throughout, a tremendously comfortable bed, and any amenity you could possibly need. Hair dryer? Check. Rainy day books and DVDs? Check. Complete set of kitchenware? Check. This last point was a nice selling point for me in particular. As a frequent solo traveler, I don't care a lot about dining out (it's a bit awkward on your own and it's a quick drain on the cash flow!). It was fantastic that the suite came with everything I needed to prepare my own food and the eggs from the hens and fresh veggies from the garden meant I had to buy very few supplemental items to complete my meals (check out the Eastsound Farmer's Market or ferry landing grocery store). I could go on and on, but I should leave some things for you to discover during your own stay. Needless to say, highly recommend Pebble Cove Farm!

We enjoyed the hot tub, bonfire, the garden, beachfront, and the use of the rowboats to and around the smaller island. We saw jellyfish, starfish, deer, eagles on the property not to mention the chickens, horse, and goats on the property. They provide a glass jar of milk and orange juice and are able to pick from the vegetables in the garden. The kitchen is not a full kitchen, but provides all the necessities needed to make a decent meal. The rooms were very nice, however, they use organic cleaning products. These products did not thoroughly clean the suite and would prefer stronger chemicals. The towels were stiff and rough on the body. We were here for my birthday and had 3 rooms reserved, but unfortunately 1 friend was unable to make it and tried to notify the staff via telephone but did not get ahold of anyone. My other friends were promised a room at 2pm, but was not ready until after 4pm. Needless to say the check-in wasn't smooth. The property is a great place and would come back, just a few hiccups along the way.
