Amazing service and the food is out of this planet definitely worth it and the best spot I went this week

Been wanting to come here for a long time , been following them on tik tok for quite some time and we finally made, and they understood the assignment . I love the deco, very inviting vibes, good music and available seating. They had plenty of seating to choose from and a full bar. My son ordered a non alcoholic margarita and it was really good, I had a strawberry kool aid and it was sweet but not too sweet. The Philly cheesesteak eggs and OMG! The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were packed with flavor, they were juicy and cooked perfectly. My son orders a shrimp burger and it was fantastic I orders a burger it was big and flavorful. The price was good for the amount of food you got! Service was awesome and when in Wilmington again, we'll be back! read more

I was visiting Wilmington and my friend took me to this place saying it was good so i was expecting a good food, however my experience was not good at all, the wait time to be seated was about 20 minutes which is not bad, once we were inside and placed our order took over 30 minutes to arrive which i think it was excessive i got the the catch of the day I was was so hungry but unfortunately food was not good at all, rice was okay I think needs more flavor and was crispy which means was seating on a heated element before it was served, salmon was okay not bad but not the best and broccoli was the worse very very salty to the point that you could not eat it, i asked for another side of broccoli but i knew it would not arrive soon i ended up leaving before i got my side. My friend got a fish sandwich which i tried and it was good and the Okra as well. Unfortunately i can rate them more than two stars due to the wait time and the broccoli. Did take out...staff super helpful. Wings with the thyme sauce insane! Regular hot was very good. Wings are naked but cooked PERFECTLY! On Thyme was a great little adventure. Awesome, fried shrimp fish and mushrooms. None of the fried foods sat under a heat lamp. Piping hot direct from the deep fryer. With jazz music as our background a great place to enjoy a mid day lunch hour. You walk in shown a seat and handed a plastic coat short menu, a second menu has meal deals of the day. You then go to the cashier and place your order and pay. My wife and I split the fish, shrimp and fries plate. With fried mushrooms as an appetizer. All the food was served hot from the deep fryer. No, heat lamps used here. They do not have cocktail sauce, but the thyme sauce served with the fried fish and shrimp did not disappoint. It really worked with the dip used on the fried foods. The ranch worked as well with the fried mushrooms. Would return when visiting the area again. read more

Finally made it to the viral restaurant in Wilmington - On Thyme. And it was, well - right on time. I had to get it to go because I was on the road but the ambiance is upbeat and soulful with good music and beautiful murals throughout. There's a wall of black greats behind the bar that's stunning. There's indoor and out door seating and a small stage with couches and tables outside. Now to the food - I got the viral Philly steak egg rolls. They were huge and lasted for 3 days. They were juicy and filled with meat and cheese. You get 6 and they are really filling. Definitely enough for 2 to share. I also had the shrimp and teriyaki style wings that came with fries. All the food was good and hot. I will definitely be making a return trip when I'm in the area. Service was great as well. The order took a minute but it's made to order so that takes time. This place stays busy so get there early. So glad I gave it a try and can't wait to try other menu items. On Thyme is right on time. read more

Hell yeah I recommend On Thyme! Came here with my boyfriend on a Friday night - ordered the egg rolls and wings. I hadn't had a bone-in wing in years (it's a mental thing), but man did I eat those up. We loved it so much we DoorDashed like 3 separate orders the following day. I would say bone in is better than boneless but both are great. You cannot go wrong with any flavor. All the employees are kind, attentive, quick, and hard working. They serve a crowd and they do it quickly while also doing it right and making sure customers are happy. Parking available on the street. Looks like they're redoing the outside area for more future seating. Inside is small and tight but it makes it that much more enjoyable. I cannot wait to go back. Let me start with I love supporting locally owned businesses that show Diversity. Me and my wife decided to try the establishment from food critics that showed praise for the restaurant. We have just left Carolina beach so this was a perfect way to end the trip. Got there around 6:30pm, not as busy and decided to sit at the bar. Great lighting and entertainment systems. We ordered the Shrimp Burger and the Fire grill shrimp basket. It took an hour for our food to arrive while customers who got there after us received theirs, don't know how to feel about that.. just didn't sit right with us knowing that the restaurant is Minority owned. Friendly staff and delicious food. I ordered the OMG Fish Sandwich with a side salad. While the sandwich was a little light on coleslaw, the fried fish was well seasoned and freshly prepared. Great neighborhood cafe, with amazing tastes and a kitchen with tons of surprises, all of them good. Lots of seating in and out on pleasant days but enough inside seating on rainy days. A host seats you and then you order and pay at the counter. Servers then deliver to you so once you order just set back and relax. There are daily specials but I would urge you to try the Cajun shrimp po-boy. It has layers of flavor down to the fresh shrimp. We drove an hour to visit this location, based on hilarious IG posts. I'm glad we did, as it was a pleasant experience. It's a smaller space than I expected, and it was too cold to sit outside. I understand that they've expanded since we visited. The food met all of our expectations. We had the sampler, wings, and the chicken sandwich. Everything was tasty and well-seasoned. I love the personalized tables and ambiance. It was late, within an hour of closing, and people were still coming in, but they did not rush them. The flavor of the castle burger was good. But... Both patties were small (close to 2.5 inches in width) which meant they were in the center of the bun. So you end up having several bites before you reach the meat (a bunwhich). There wasn't much ventilation so we came out smelling like fried food. Discovered this treat of a restaurant while on a college tour of UNCW with my son. It was wonderful and can't wait to visit again! Everyone was so friendly from the minute we walked in until we left. The fried fish and shrimp was amazing! As were the hush puppies and their special sauce. YUM! Don't forget the banana pudding in the jar! Stellar! Visiting from Atlanta and i wish they had this there! Food was amazing! Everything was great. Favorites were the egg rolls, hot lemon wings, and surprisingly the hush puppies were amazing. I can't fault this place on anything, so it gets a 5. They have a good sanitation rating, 97.5, friendly employees, good prices, and really, really tasty food!! Their outdoor area is the place to eat! It's huge for this area of town, and they have fans everywhere to help with the heat and the flies. The inside is small and dark, but it's fine. The hot honey chicken sandwich was so damn good! I know it's going to be one I crave. The flavor was spot on, the breading delicious, and it was cooked perfectly! Delicious! The food was made fresh to order, and delivered steaming. I had the shrimp po-boy. My husband had the boneless buffalo wings. Both were really good, but the jewel in their crown was definitely the oxtail egg rolls. They were mouthwateringly flavorful and crispy. Don't get over eager. Let them sit for a moment. The roof of your mouth will thank you. We were there at lunch on a Thursday. It was definitely the place to be. They were busy! Service was excellent though. Even with a crowded line at the counter and to go orders being picked up constantly, the staff still made time to circulate through to check on the customers.
