    Wine & Gelato pairing
    Nadia A.

Came for the gelato and wine event. very warm and nice staff members it was a fun event trying something new pairing gelato with wine I didn't really knew that that was a thing so that was cool. They mentioned that the wine and gelato pairing is offered all the time even if you walk in you can order that outside of the event and if you follow them on Instagram they do plan on having other events throughout the summer The gelato that they serve is dairy-free, nut free as well as gluten-free for the cream and based gelatos that we tried that they used rice milk as the base. The espresso Martini is super delicious and has kahluha in it definitely give it a try they also have a raspberry gelato that literally just tastes like fresh raspberries so delicious. Worth a try if you're in at the neighborhood

food: 4/5 pretty decent gelato spot... if you're nearby definitely check it out. They also have a cute happy hour here that makes this place so appealing as an after lunch spot. They have a lot of your standard gelato flavours as well as one or two more unique flavours. Service: 5/5 the people here are so so friendly!!! As an indecisive person, I always feel so guilty for taking my time to decide and feel pressured to just choose a flavour. But the people here are so kind and offered us samples and even told us about doing a half and half single scoop... which I never would have asked for had I not known about it. Atmosphere: 4/5 while it's a very tight indoor space, there is plenty of outdoor seating! Bonus points for having a washroom available.

Toronto loves patio season, toronto loves ice cream/gelato and toronto loves wine so this place checks off 3 boxes. it's a more unique concept that normally would be seen for Niagara on the lake but it was cool to see that a bar at queen x bathurst would also offer this. The wine pairings with gelato are flexible and definitely can ask for them to split for 2 people. Not sure how the other boozy flavours are but I personally felt that i'd rather drink an espresso martini. it might just be harder to get the stability right with the alcohol content for it to be more of a gelato texture. really enjoyed the mango and sauvignon blanc pairing though, the tropical flavours stood out. it was also interesting to learn about the wine because you can't find them in lcbo and they're all small batches made locally or from speciality wineries around the globe.

Super chill spot with a nice patio and friendly service. Our sparkling wine and gelato were perfect for a springtime patio stop. Highly recommend!

i genuinely wasn't a fan of the wine sorbet pairings, but i really enjoyed the sorbets separately. mango & cocunt were really good, coffee was good too but not with wine at all. very cute date idea

This place was perfect if you're looking for some boozy ice cream! It was tasty and dairy free. On a hot day was refreshing and also gave me a little pep in my step! Highly recommend their aperol spritz and their pina colanda flavours.

Pina colada + watermelon and mojito + mango sorbet

Solid but pricey spot for vegan gelato (does that still make it gelato?) and sorbets. I tried the Pina colada, watermelon, mojito and mango flavours. Pina colada and mojito were pretty on point in regards to taste, but you couldn't really taste the alcohol (is this good or bad?). The watermelon was extremely sweet and in my opinion tasted nothing like real watermelon and moreso like a candy watermelon, leaving a weird aftertaste behind. The mango was pretty accurate as well, and tasted very close to the real thing, though again like the watermelon, it was very sweet. Double scoops are $8 and each alcoholic flavour is +$1. Honestly this place is pricey compared to its competitors and especially so because the portions were pretty conservative. Overall On Third Thought makes solid frozen desserts and is definitely worth trying.

This is a cute & quirky gelato spot that can be easily missed. I almost passed it myself but last second saw a board pointing to the direction. They have a pretty unique selection of flavours and I tried their strawberry daiquiri & espresso martini. The flavours are definitely pretty strong & accurate but I found the strawberry daiquiri to be a tad sweet. The service was super friendly & welcoming when we stepped foot in however, midway through, service seemed to be unfriendly for some reason.

Amazing vibes here! Had so much fun hanging out on the patio during our weekend girls' trip! They had a permanent bracelet pop-up, and we had lots of great wine

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

I got the Avalanche (Skor,Cheesecake, and Caramel) and I loved that they stretched the dough when we ordered and then start frying it right there. It really ensures that we get freshly fried Beaver Tails at the peak of their deliciousness. After I got mine slathered with the toppings I ordered, I dug in and as expected, it's really hot but SOOOOO good. It's like the concept of a donut only thinner and crispier, thus resulting in a much better texture and crunch throughout which I very much prefer over a donut actually. The cheesecake spread mingling with the sweet caramel, crunchy toffee bits, and crispy hot dough is just such a perfect combination. It's a bit of a mess to eat but sooooo worth it. It really is such a shame that there isn't an establishment like this in NYC because it could seriously do some REALLY good numbers over here I reckon. I HAVE to get this again when I come back up to Canada (unless ya'll want to build a place down across the border haha).

I stopped by Kream after seeing all the hype on Instagram about the famous Korean "Dubai…read morechocolate." When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!
