In spite of 3 trips to my house, the total was less than they had guessed originally. Servco installed this system in 1990 and they are still our go to....this reminds us why!!

They said several people had a similar issue with these systems and confirmed with Bosch that it was a faulty unit. They said the labor would be no longer be covered and that I would now need to contact Bosch to see if they would provide a new system. Absolutely miserable experience, I feel like they deliberately drug the repair on so the labor warranty would expire.

When I said no, they decided they could repair the old unit. One year later (and $1,700) they "fixed" it. Except they didn't. Stopped working a week later. Right in the middle of a heat wave and my parents' heat pump stops. We called around to a few…read moreplaces. Most could only service the unit 2-3 days out. It was 100+ degrees every day, so we needed someone fast. Lucky for us, we called Focus. They are a local company and were able to come over after hours for an additional fee. Within 2 hours, John was working on the heat pump. Not only was he a pleasant man to deal with, he was knowledgeable, showed me exactly what was wrong and what he was doing, and he did so quickly and efficiently. The office staff was great, too. I can't rave enough about this company.

The tech came out and fixed the furnace. He reported water in the condenser line as the problem. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The repair cost $136 which I think is very fair. I recommend this company. I will definitely call focus in the future if we have HVAC needs.

About 3 months ago, I called them seeking repairs on my heat pump. I never talked with a real human being and was only able to leave them a voice message. Crickets, I never heard from them. Fast forward 3 months and my heat pump finally died, and I am in the process of getting bids to install a new system. It was a repeat of my first attempt to contact them, I never got a real person, but I did leave a voice message for them, again I left my name, number, and what I was trying to accomplish. Again, crickets. After 4 full days, 2 full business days (I called Friday morning and here we are after close of business the following Monday and still no call from them. Seeing how the heat pump is completely kaput, I cannot waste any more time waiting for them to reply. So yes, I will leave you alone now. After two ignored attempts at contacting you, you don't ever have to worry about me calling you again. I will ignore you now and I will tell others to do the same as well. I talked to two General Contractors I know well and both told me to look at Stephen's if I was interested in price revised and quality rather than presentation. Al Stephens came out and did a thorough investigation and suggested a configuration that made sense. I still went out and sought 9 bids from other local heating/air contractors. In the meantime, I checked out Amana,and Goodman [Stephen's suppliers] and found out their units were slightly better than comparable Tranes. All HVAC's are made from component parts that are gotten by only 3 suppliers. I got three Trane bids from local Trane HVAC's and they all came in a few $100 over $10,000 without an inspection of duct work. Stephen's bid was $6,600. I saved close to $4,000 and got a better warranty on the Amana unit I bought from Stephen's Heating. The important difference in Heating/air units is in the installation. If you are interested in the mechanical unit and Warranty rather than a slick sales pitch I highly recommend Stephen's.
