OMS HVAC/Mechanical (Glen Onken) AND TEAM are the best HVAC folks I've had the pleasure to work with. We built our home 23 years ago and obviously put in the basic furnace/AC for cost reasons. When the AC unit went bad, Glen came out and BEAT everyone on service and price. We were able to get a Bosch complete system (Furnace/AC top of the line) with heat pump and high efficiency. Glen sized it to use our existing duct work and we have been extremely happy. He put sensors around the house we can program to a zone using our Smart Phone app remotely from anywhere. THE COMFORT LEVEL in our house has gone up 1000%. We control the humidity, the temp by zone, AND OUR UTILITY BILLS HAVE GONE DOWN by $30-$50 /month. Oh and don't forget, we got the REBATES from Black Hills (Gas) and Core (Electricity) and STATE OF CO (tax rebate) making this whole system the same or less than other quotes for a basic furnace/AC combination (which we started out looking for). OMS provided the most thorough service I've ever received. Arrived on time and was very personable, walking me through the process and showing me exactly what all was being done. The tech spent no less than 3 hours deep cleaning every part of our furnace and fully inspecting every component. The cleaning and certification fee was a bit more than the competition but you truly get what you pay for. Our furnace looked nearly brand new when he was done both inside and out. Do you want a guy with a spray bottle and a roll of paper towels to wipe down the outside surfaces or an honest guy to fully disassemble and deep clean every part ensuring longevity of your furnace? If you're shopping around, be sure to ask what all they do as part of the cleaning (pull out the blower motor and scrub it clean, check bearings, test capacitor, physically check the heat exchanger with a camera, lubricate all moving parts, etc). I believe that no honest company can completely and thoroughly clean your furnace for some of the cheap prices I was quoted when shopping around. So, while the cleaning and certification may cost a bit more than the competition, it will keep your furnace running smooth for many years to come and keep you from forking over $5k for an unnecessary furnace. I highly recommend Onken Mechanical. Here is why. My AC stopped working so I called another well known HVAC company (they advertise a lot) and they came out the next day and found that my evap coils were leaking. They were very friendly and I was pretty happy with their work up until this point (except I had to call to find out why they didn't show up in the time window). However, their quote was pretty high so I wanted another estimate. A 2nd company fumbled the ball and never got back to me. I just don't get that. Tell me you are busy don't blow me off! They are on the permanent black list now. So, on to a third company. I found out about Onken from my neighborhood Facebook. I did some research and everything looked good. I called and talked to Glen. He spent time talking to me and his estimate over the phone was significantly less. He said he might be able to swing by later that day but definitely in a couple days. Later that day Glen texted and said he would be there in 40min. He showed up on time and started working. Glen and Mike did a fantastic job! Very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to spend time and explain what they need to do and what they did. This company gets it! Great customer service, great work, and very reasonable prices. I had the furnace igniter go out at 5:45am this morning. I called OMS at 8am and they sent someone right over. Mike got here about 8:30am, Mike was professional and able to replace the part quickly. What impressed me most was Mike's knowledge and willingness to explain in detail the issue, how my model furnace worked and future things to look out for. The labor and part was reasonably priced. Several people tried to repair our A/C but were unable to repair it, but could easily sell us a new $6,000+ HVAC System. Glenn from OMS came over the same evening, and had the problem fixed the next morning when he was able to go pick up the needed parts. Since then we've used OMS to fix our whole house humidifier, run a gas line to the kitchen for a new gas range, and finally had them replace the entire furnace over safety concerns. Everyone we've dealt with at OMS has been friendly and professional. We've been offered options for each repair so we could decide what was important to us instead of being told what they (the HVAC company) was willing to do. They always clean up after they're done, and respect our home. I've recommended them several times to friends and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them again. read more

OMS doesn't charge for after hours service, in fact regular hours are until 11PM....this was extremely helpful as we were in dire need of an air conditioner fix after all the other guys (including the so-called "24/7 guys") had closed.
