The heater in my hvac had developed a leak of water, which was puzzling. I had a company that I had previously used come out and quote me on a replacement, but I decided to get a second opinion. I saw that Alpha Air was rated pretty good and so I called Kyle Myers, the owner, and he came out that afternoon. He confirmed the problem and noted that the brand of heater that I had, had a recall on the heater for the very reason that cause the leak. That really didn't help me though because of the age of the heater, but he and I discussed various options that I had for my situation. The thing I noted was that several of his points he made contradicted what the previous estimator said. I dug into all of the issues and discovered that Kyle was correct about each of the differences and that the previous estimator wasn't note even going to install a more current, required pvc exhaust pipe, nor was he going to get the job permitted... something that Kyle said he insisted on. So, I went with Kyle and could not have been happier! He and his crew were incredibly knowledgeable, and certified in multiple areas, electrical, hvac, plumbing etc. His total price even came in less than the first quote I received. We had a great experience working with Kyle, the owner of Alpha Air. We brought him in for a second opinion on some furnace issues we were having and told him we were considering getting a new one. The estimates he have us for multiple furnace replacements were significantly lower than any other estimate we got elsewhere. Not only that, but he was able to come and replace our furnace two days later. He took care of pulling permits, registering our warranty, scheduling the inspection to close the permit, and got rid of all our old equipment. He put mats and plastic down on the floors to protect them. When he and his team left, it looked like they had never even been there - the whole space, stairs, entry way, and utility closet were SPOTLESS. He also replaced some of the vents/pipes, installed some new electrical that was not up to code and built us a switch to turn the furnace on and off, cut out and installed new air vents/grills into our utility closet, rewired our thermostat and upgraded us to an Ecobee thermostat for free that we LOVE! I feel that I'm really lucky that I called Alpha Air Heating & Cooling. I was trying to find someone and anyone that did A/C. A few weeks ago, my A/C went out. Right when it was starting to warm up again. I just had newborns and we didn't want to feel miserable and especially my babies. Everyone that I called was booked up for a week or two... the minimum!! Some didn't even want look at maintenance repairs till November! Lol... myself, I didnt mind having A/C for a minute but I was thinking more about the family. I was hesitant on calling Alpha Air Heating & Cooling. I seen the years of experience and wasn't sure going with someone that has not been doing it for a while. I called and left a voicemail. LUCKILY, Kyle responded quickly and I told him about my issue I was having. Kyle, told me that it was probably a few possibilities of the issue I was having. I really liked the way he broke things to me through the phone. So, I decided to give him a chance and set-up the appointment and was able to come within a few days. Kyle checked out my A/C system and quickly found out the issue I was having. I needed refrigerant and it was going to be expensive to refill. $300 a pound!!! And I need at least 4lbs. My furnace when out two weeks agI. I kept putting off fixing it because I thought it was going to be in the thousands. it was sub zero degrees outside and colder in the house and I was using my stove to heat the house. when the heat element caught fire I figured it was time to bite the bullet. I had called around and some of the trip fees were 150 to 350 and couldn't do it the same day. it was exactly what I dreaded. then I called Kyle at Alpha Air and he picked up right away. talked to me about what was going on. I sent him pictures. he charged $75 trip charge that he applied to the bill. He went and got the parts and came over that night. he gave me an estimate range. typically you know they are going to come in at the top end. but he didn't. it was in the middle because there was more to fixing it that we thought.
