Front desk is super friendly and the dentists/endodontists are even better! Everyone was super nice, they made sure I was comfortable and that I did not experience any pain the whole time. 100% recommend. So the front office staff are professional and that is the last nice thing I am going to stay, as an autistic adult I tend to trust people who tell me they want to help me... these people wanted to make as much money off me and when I did not have enough started using scare tactics to convince me if I did not follow them then I would end up with no teeth and little jaw to my name and screw up my face. I now have a gap between my teeth, a chipped tooth to one side (see photo) and they charged me almost 3k not including what they took from my insurance. They told me w/out the gum surgery 5k (most Americans don't have 1k extra just laying around in this economy let alone 5k!) then I would need to do a deep clean and since it was not enough time since my last one it would be only another almost 1k out of pocket! Ended up going from oh you need a crown! To oh you need a root canal...instead of waiting to see if I would continue to get the crown they sent it out w/out my consent so they could sneakily charge me and justify there actions I decided against the root canal due to the extremely expensive price...they ended up saying "well well you kinda got a service and then found out the greedy money hungry owner ended up deciding to not refund me anything saying "well you had a service you can come in and I will be gracious enough to see you" when I had already said I had decided to go to Mexico where it's safe and way less than what they are charging here. In short don't give them your money they will make your teeth worse and then if you don't have the money they will say welp that sucks to be you! I cannot stress enough not to go here. I have never had a problem with my teeth, I have kept up 6 months appointments my entire life. I missed 1 6 month check up because I moved so I became a new patient at Omni. They didn't even clean my teeth! Stabbed me repeatedly in my gums, I still have cuts hours later and said "Oh if I touch gently it bleeds" Continues to say I have a tooth that needs IMMEDIATE attention because it is decaying(no pain and it looks the same it's looked my entire life) She then continues to say 2 teeth have cracks in them. When I asked to see photos, they said it was really really hard to see but it's there and just to trust them! They originally said the problem was my back left molar, then said it was my back right molar, then said it was a different tooth on my right side. I told them I had fillings as a child, she said "Yes they used to be silver and now they're not so that's decay" I informed her I have never had a silver filling and then she back tracked saying that's not what she meant. She suggested I see a "deep clean specialist" since my teeth were allegedly so bad. I told them I was leaving and this was very strange after keeping up appointments my whole life I suddenly have very very expensive issues to deal with. I requested a copy of all my pictures and x-rays SPECIFICALLY the ones that show the problem spots. I was handed 2 pages of x rays and told that the others would be an additional charge because they are digital. Go figure the ones that allegedly show the problems are more money. Twice now, I've asked to not see one of the Dentists & called to confirm they scheduled me with the preferred Dentist & they said yep & then when I get there I'm forced to see the one I don't prefer. I don't prefer him because he rests his hands all over my face & always seems to have an inexperienced hygienist who sprays water all over my face & neck. I have never felt so manhandled at a dentist before. This Dentist seems to forget who I am and introduces himself to me each time. But after a several years of going there it just implies they don't see us as anything but a number. Now for a second time, they called to confirm the appointment I scheduled 6 months ago at my last cleaning, and when I arrived on time, it turns out they didn't have me in the calendar for another 2 hours. One mistake is forgivable, but 2 errors like this doesn't even make any sense! The receptionist did not inform me of their error, & just left me to rot in the waiting room. In the span of the 45 minutes I waited, until I said hey I need to get back to work, I saw the (wrong) dentist I did not want to see - but wound up seeing- loitering around with no patients, it seemed. So I was just sitting there for no reason. I don't know what is going on with their systems, communication, but it isn't good and implies it is a top down problem that won't get fixed. I can't tell if their dentistry is as bad, but I'm not going to stick around to find out. Also the X-ray equipment does look dank, like it needs a cleaning. And they blare music and a tv in the crowded waiting room. Last time I was there I caught a cold from someone who was sitting there coughing for the hour we all sat there. I've been a patient at Omni for 10 years and visit twice per year. They do all of my bi-yearly cleanings. They have also done crowns and 2 implants. I have never received anything less than excellent care and service. During the years, I have had a couple of emergencies. They were able to get me into the office within a couple of hours. Most offices do not provide this level of service. The doctors and staff are great. I highly recommend Omni Dental. Omni will remain on 'My Keepers List'. read more

A couple months ago I had an inplant completed at the office on Hymeadow in Austin. It fell out last week after being quite painful. Additionally I was told I had overpaid and was owed money. When I requested my overpayment returned to me i was told that would have to be approved by mnagement. I have not received my refund. So I paid roughoy $4000 for no implant and overpaid and received no refund. When I just called about my implant falling out, I was told I would have to email operations. Their billing department is a mess. They don't have an online or email system...appointments to billing, everything is on phone. They failed to send me a bill but sent it to collection. They charged me more than what was given on insurance's EOB, told me verbally I will get a refund, and now blaming everything on a former employee, like it is my problem. BEWARE! This was the worst experience I have ever had in my life! Scheduled only a cleaning. I have had regular cleanings my entire life (40+). Due to an insurance change, we tried this place. As a first time patient, they had me take xrays, as expected, but the inexperienced aide took more than a dozen with an oversized bite wing that would not fit in my mouth. The worst part was the so-called "cleaning" was the dentist (Damodara) using a basic WATERPIK, very aggressively at that, and literally soaking my neck with water while I squirmed! The aide had to grab a towel but I was already soaked down my neck. He asked if i had sensitive teeth which I don't. Lastly, got a terrible flossing my 7yo niece could have done better for me. My hubs, had the same horrible experience in the chair next to me with same dentist. He is not listed on their website so no schooling credentials can be found unless you google. Had an appointment for 11:30, did not get called in to do my X-rays until 12:45 and afterwards I was told the doctor would see me "between surgeries" and given no time estimate. No breaks in between, they get one person up and try to move the next person in.. Last time i checked (with my red cross certification in blood borne pathogens) microbe killing solutions dont kill germs on surfaces in 30 seconds or less. Even the dentist made a comment if the "tool head" was exchanged out. To mention it didnt have, nor get a barrier sleeve put on... guess their really relying on that auto clave (set to run for only 25mins, hope its set to the highest temp) Lol i could go on and on and on but.. What insurance I used...all the things my ACTUAL dentist already knows and would transfer to any purchaser or merger entity. At that point of realization, I started making excuses and trying to get off the phone. The lady at the other end started sounding anxious, almost pleading. Scam scam scam. If they are that desperate for new clients, one has to ask..."Why aren't they retaining their CURRENT clients?" Just run away from this place, they will try everything they can do to r* you off. My first appointment was for a dental cleaning. After spending an hour on doing X-ray (Yes, the lady was super unprofessional and spent an hour on performing X-ray...And she kept blaming on the machine), then the doctor told me that I need to have a deep cleaning, a gum examination. I did the gum exam and the front desk person said my dental insurance does not cover this exam so they charged me $146. I went home and called my insurance company - my dental insurance does cover this exam and my copayment will be $35. My dental insurance company Humana and I have been trying to contact you by your office number at 512-250-5012 for 2 days and it didn't go through. Also, after the exam, the front desk gave me the quote for my deep cleaning, the price will be $896. (Yes, BELIEVE YOUR EYES, $896 for a deep cleaning) They told me my insurance DOES NOT cover this cleaning either. I wasn't unsure about the price and decided to make another appointment for the deep cleaning. Interestingly, after talking to Humana, my dental plan does cover this deep cleaning and my copayment is $85 per part. And this is not over..... I drove for 30 min to your office for my appointment at 10 am. Their office was closed....And, the office phone at 512-250-5012 still did not go through. If you guys decided to cancel my appointment for any reason. YOU SHOULD LET ME KNOW IN ADVANCE. Also, I have no idea when is my next appointment will be. And after I realized this place is a total scam, I found a different dentist and called Omni to transfer my record to my new dentist, the front desk told me they can't do that, I will have to drive in to get it done. I said no way I will do it since I've moved to a different city 3 hour away. I asked my insurance company to talk to them and they agreed to mail me my dental record. I called a week ago after getting a referral from my dentist to get all four wisdom teeth removed but their surgeon doesn't accept my insurance so it would be $2800. I called to schedule my appointment and the woman on the phone said they could get me in next week to do the consultation and procedure the same day and instructed me not to eat after midnight because it can cause problems with anesthesia. I asked her what the cost would be around, a ball park estimate of what to expect, and she said she didn't know but they would tell me when I got there. I called this afternoon, the day before my appointment and asked what I needed to bring and expressed that I was nervous about the procedure but I had some questions about what I should bring, could I bring things for my anxiety (like headphones), if I should arrive earlier to fill out paperwork etc. The woman on the phone interrupted me mid sentence to say "bring your ID and your payment and that's it." I said should I bring my paperwork from my dentist as well? Is there anything extra I should do before getting my wisdom teeth removed? She goes "well we probably aren't going to have the time to do your wisdom teeth removal anymore because we have a pretty busy schedule tomorrow so you'll have to come back but bring someone to drive you home just incase we do decide to do it" And I said but last week you said you would do the consultation and surgery same day. She replies, "yeah but we have a busy day tomorrow so just don't eat 8 hours before the surgery just incase we do and have someone drive you" She seemed as if me being on the phone with her was a massive annoying inconvenience and not what she's being paid to do. Why would you tell a patient to prepare for a procedure one week only to schedule appointments immediately after so you no longer have time to tend to the first person you scheduled? Extremely unprofessional attitude and made me feel like my dental care and the pain I'm going through was a joke. I called my insurance company and scheduled an appointment with a different dentist office to see me tomorrow afternoon. I'm horrified at these reviews I'm reading, y'all please do not accept poor treatment from providers of your dental care and hold them responsible. I told my insurance provider about how I was spoken to and read her two or three of the reviews here and she suggested I file a formal complaint and I did. This the worst dentist office in America. Whatever you do, DO NOT use your flexible spending account for services. If you get a treatment plan please confirm with insurance company that the numbers are correct and the patient's portion is right. They overcharged a little over $1500 dollars in services and I have since caught hell trying to get a refund. They wanted to credit the account and I told them FSA does not work that way. You need to credit the card for the amounts. I think that was the only way I was able to get some of the funds returned. At the end of the day after contacting insurance company all services were covered without a copay and they billed for services under different codes and the insurance company corrected them and now they are trying the blame the insurance company for making changes and the account has to be audited now. If they try to charge for adjustments for dentures, Medicare states all adjustments are covered for 6 months after. Run from this place as fast as you can. They want me to send them my card number in an email. No can do. The staff attitudes are horrible and I am not sure why this place is still in business. I have been a client of this office since 2010. This office used to treat patients in a friendly and respectful manner. I had two botched appointment where I was told I was going to get a standard cleaning after a quick consultation. The first appointment wasn't quick and after the dentist aggressively probing my mouth I was told I needed to schedule a follow up appointment for a cleaning. I wasted two hours of my time the first go around. Believing in second chances I made the follow up which upon arrival they forgot about it and wanted to me to fill out duplicate paperwork they already had. On the second appointment I pad a $50 consultation fee I was not informed of. I thought it was for an actual cleaning. When I was called back to the dental chair I was greeted with the finance person who tried to upsale me on a deep cleaning that I didn't need and when I asked for them to do a routine cleaning instead they refused me service. I gave these people two opportunities to make it right and they utterly failed. Stay away! There are many more client friendly dentist offices to get a better service. read more

I had to switch dentists because my work changed our insurance. This group had a great rating on the Delta Dental website, I was very disappointed in my visit with them this morning. I went in for a routine cleaning and checkup. The front desk staff were so sweet and are the only reason this place even deserves 1 star. The facility seemed soooo cheaply operated. It was all one giant room that they had used cabinets to separate. There was literally seran wrap at each "station" and at the X-rays and that is what they used to cover the things that went in my mouth. He even missed a spot and I had to tell him to recover it. I honestly should have walked out at that point. The technician/hygienist spent a lot of time on the X-rays which is normal, but he had a very strong accent and it was hard to understand what he was saying about the scans. He started just saying "infection" which is alarming, but then couldn't elaborate. Also, they did not seem to follow normal germ/health protocols (the seran wrap). After the scans, the actual dentist came in and I mentioned that I had mild gum recession (diagnosed by my previous dentist who was a amazing I just can't go because insurance). The dentist said "I'll recommend you for surgery and send the paperwork over". It is alarming that he would recommend something so serious after looking in my mouth for a total of less than a minute. I told them no. Then, the "cleaning" was done. It's in quotes because total, the cleaning was less than 5 minutes, done extremely quickly and not gently. After this, they started mentioning me purchasing a night guard from them, to which I said I would think about and get back to them (again, never a mention of that from my old dentist and no evidence of me grinding my teeth). I had to ask the hygienist at the end about the "infection" he mentioned before since it was never elaborated on and all he said was to brush my teeth twice a day to help it. I will definitely not be going back. I feel bad for the other patients who go there and get recommended for unnecessary procedures. read more

Probably the reason they had openings was they don't have many patients because of their reputation. The staff was pleasant enough, however the so called endodontist was rude, cocky, and took less than 15 seconds, and I'm not exaggerating, to look in my mouth with a dental mirror and ask me "so what's your question?" Obviously he didn't understand what a "second opinion" was, and charged my insurance 150.00. Ultimately, I'm responsible for having not read the negative reviews of this group, so live and learn, as they say. I would very strongly recommend avoiding this group for any type of dental care. He was very personable and had a great sense of humor. His dental assistant, Nancy was very sweet and made my son very comfortable. Parking was label and we parked right up front. Melissa was there to greet us upon arrival and was very professional at check in. I am not sure why they have revived such low reviews. This palace was fabulous! My insurance was verified before I arrived and there were no surprises. He has on more tooth to be done. Once that is finished I will give a final review. So far so good! read more

I'm not sure how these folks are still in business. They over billed our insurance company, and after we talked to our insurance company, our insurance company sent them the appropriate information to rectify the problem. All good? Nope. Didn't hear a word from Omni for over 2 years until we received a call from a collection agency threatening to report the outstanding balance from Omni on our credit. Garbage. Not only did they not bill the insurance correctly, after we sent them the correct information they still didn't take care of it. I would encourage all the people that have posted an overwhelming number of poor reviews of Omni to submit a formal complaint to the ADA. They should not be in operation. Also, the care that I got was incredibly poor. My filling came out a few months after they put it in and the whole reason I am still going through this billing mess was because of their sub par work in the first place. They got me with a useless pano x-ray. After I was told that after the doctor saw me I would possibly have an x-ray as soon as they called me back they required me to do a panol x-ray they didn't even ask if the previous dentist had these x-rays available so I'm guessing this is part of their scam it's very unethical also didn't ask me what type of referral I had after I got there set me up with the dentist that couldn't help me tell me I need a different referral to see a different dentist claimed it was because of my referral but they never asked what was on my referral before I got the appointment to see a doctor that wasn't even in that day I should have read the Google reviews horrible, they tried to blame it on the previous dentist for putting periodontist on the referral but again they didn't know that until I got there and they had already made my appointment to see a useless Doctor Who could do absolutely nothing for me except remove my tooth . The office is full of ridiculous uneducated unethical people who really don't want to do their jobs and I'm guessing they're struggling because there are charging and running up this scam for x-rays that you don't need and obviously the doctor couldn't even see what he needed to see because he ordered another separate x-ray afterwards I would say don't let them take a panel x-ray of you if you already had one done at your regular dentist and make sure you tell them what type of work you need done before the appointment so that maybe they can set you up with the right doctor not sure in reference to the doctor's competency and reference to the root canal that I was supposed to get because now I don't think I'm going back I made an appointment but surely I'm going to cancel and find someone else in my network. read more

Came in for a root canal he said if I ask questions I get more numbing shots he didn't even wait for the shot to numb my teeth so when he was drilling my teeth is was painful never even would recommend this place 0/0 read more

Let me preface this by saying I get very anxious when it comes to dental work. When I went in about 3 weeks ago, I already knew I needed at least a crown, if not a root canal. The dentist, who never told me his name, confirmed I needed a crown, and that I shouldn't wait much longer or else I would need to r.c. So we decided to start that process that day, as he claimed it would only take about 45 minutes. Well, after a lot of back and forth with many impressions for my crown and a nightguard, he's about to start drilling. He made my husband leave, because only patients are allowed back there. I sat around twiddling my thumbs for most of the time I was there. 3 AND A HALF HOURS LATER, I finally ask the younger guy working with him how much longer it will take. He basically says the other guy is studying my impressions and he'll return shortly. After a little more waiting, the younger guy comes back and quickly cements my temp crown and I'm good to go. Fast forward a week later, I have to to back in to get new impressions because something wasn't right or something. Get there early for my appointment, and still wait for almost an hour. Get back, impressions done, good to go. Now, yesterday, I went in for my cleaning and pinning of my permanent crown. The cleaning was fine, and the girl who did it was wonderful. Then I head over to another seat and a lady dentist I dont know starts to try to clean the old cement off of my tooth before they seat the perm one. However, after they popped off my temp crown it was VERY sensitive (she couldn't even put gauze on it) and I tell her such. She states that, normally they dont have to numb anything for this part of the process, but I am already shaking after she tried scraping it. So the older dentist guy came back and numbed me. He shot into my gum about 3-4 times and one of the times felt like it went straight into the nerve of my tooth and I have NEVER felt a pain like that. At this point, I'm trying not to panic and I'm starting to shake uncontrolably. I had no idea what all still needed to be done, and while he was scraping the cement off, I could still feel it. My body was seized up, just trying to not freak out. Thankfully, the rest of the process was quick and I got out not long after that, but I WILL be finding a new dentist. Someone who can at least communicate what is going on, not leave me sitting around for hours and take me seriously when I say it freakin' hurts. Never again. read more
