Great food and plenty of it. The staff does get a little frazzled when it's packed, which it often is and they are in dire need of table bussers. However the food is plentiful and very, very good. Just passing through on our way to FL. Checked yelp, as we always do, and found this little beauty. Wow, all 4 in our party were delighted. Pancakes that had a hint of cake batter in the taste. The omelettes my husband and I got were amazing. I decided on a seafood omelette and he had The Triple Crown. My other son had the breakfast burritos and couldn't get enough. Price was right. The waitress was nice. One very disturbing part of this place was that the silverware we provided with was dirty but perfectly wrapped up in a napkin. Slight wait as very COVID savvy. Service was OK but seemed very frazzled. Waffle was rubbery and not crispy at all. Corned beef was out of a can. I have always given it a 5 star but unfortunately the last two times I was in the Hinesville Omelette Cafe food was not the best that I know it can be. Last week I ordered a BLT sandwich with fries. WORST BLT I have ever eaten. It had a very thin slice of tomato, could barely see it, same with lettuce and a bunch of crumbled left over bacon it looked like. Yesterday I went in and had the NY Style Angus Beef steak with (asked for) scrambled eggs with melted cheese. I also asked for medium steak. INSTEAD I GOT a well done steak, eggs were not soft scrambled with cheese like they usually have. Eggs were scrambled hard and cheese just cut into pieces and put on top not melted in as they usually do. Sounds like they have added a new cook with the other two that doesn't know how to do a medium steak and SOFT SCRAPPLED EGGS with cheese properly blended and mixed in. read more

I enjoyed eating here - the staff was friendly, nice homey atmosphere, and the food was pretty good. I had a western omelet with grits and toast. The portions are large and it's very affordable. Their omelets are a bit thin and flat, not fluffy like I would usually prefer. What kind of annoyed me were the up charges we were made unaware of...I mean, we didnt mind it, but would have liked to be told about it. My mom asked is she could substitute her grits for hash browns...I didn't see an upcharge for that on the menu and our waitress said that was fine without letting us know of an upcharge. The same thing when my brother asked if he could have french toast instead of pancakes for his meal. I don't recommend getting their french toast by the way, the bread used for theirs is normal sliced bread and feels very airy without much flavor. read more

On Friday around lunch time I stopped into the omelette cafe on highway 80 in Pooler. It wasn't extremely busy and we had a very kind server. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and it took longer than usual to come out. I didn't mind because I've worked in the customer service food industry for years now. Sometimes when it gets as busy as it was a couple of mistakes can be made. For instance when my sandwich finally did make it to my table my bread was toasted instead of soft white bread. I wasn't upset about the sandwich being made wrong or the time it took. I was upset by the disrespect I heard from the kitchen! The only female cooking was upset she had to remake the sandwich with soft bread and she begins to treat the server like trash. Including but not limited to, calling her names in both English and Spanish, she was extremely loud that I could hear it sitting at my table so i know everyone in front of me, especially other workers could hear what was said. AND the server was pregnant. I love the food and prices here. But how these employees treat each other is disgusting. Everyone can see into the kitchen and we can all hear it to. That woman needs to work on her patience if she wants to cook breakfast for people in Pooler or get another slow paced job if she can't keep up with this one. And possibly see a psychiatrist to assist with the lack of emotional control she has, because no one, pregnant Or not, should be talked to in that way! read more

A go to in our house. We live nearby so it's a quick trip for to go pick up and never have to wait longer than 10 minutes from phone ordering to walking out with food - no matter how busy. I love how welcoming and modest this little cafe is. The service was nice and friendly. The food reminds me of just simple, home cooked food. No frills and great taste. We ate here because of the 4 star reviews, but the food wasn't that great. The cheese omelette was disgustingly goopy and they just threw some velveeta cheese that wasn't even melted. If you call yourself omelette cafe, make it real with real cheese, not that processed "cheese". The biscuits and gravy were also not that great. It seems to being going down hill. They did renovations,but we ate breakfast there this morning and the food came out cold and my eggs and grits came out 10 minutes before my toast and hash browns. The only thing hot was the coffee. I mentioned it to the waitress and she could care less. Bill for two was 30 dollars. This place is a wonderful stop for breakfast. It's not in the heavy tourist area, so as you are traveling through, you won't be laden with heavy crowds or a lack of parking. They are located in a strip mall with a pretty big location. The service is great - staff was amazingly friendly. We ordered their namesake - 2 omelettes - and were overwhelmed with food! Their portions are huge! But delicious. My husband really enjoyed his philly omelette that was full of tasty cheese and meat. Hash browns were good, cooked well, a little under-seasoned, but good. It was a great and filling breakfast, and paired with the fact the staff was really nice and attentive, I would be back. It's a great stop off 95 and I would definitely come back on my drives up north. It's not my favorite omelette I've ever had, but it was solid and up there. Clean, but very plain place. It was seat yourself, so we found the closest table we could find. We like booths, so we were a bit disappointed it was pretty much all small tables. Our server was crazy good, he listened to our requests and made sure our food came out exactly as we wanted it. The food arrived to our table in less than five minutes! It was amazing to watch as people came through the door, sat down and were ready to leave in about twenty minutes. The guy cleaning tables could barely keep up. This place is great! Service was quick and attentive. Coffee was good. The servings are huge. I had the spinach and grilled shrimp omelet. There must have been 12-15 medium sized shrimp in there! I have eaten here about 30 times in the past year. This is a great breakfast place for me. The prices and food are better than IHOP's or Denny's. The service is always friendly. Most times when I eat there, the price to eat is less than $10.00. The best part is this is a no riff raff place when it comes to the people who eat there. I wonder if that has something to do with the fact that the Pooler Police Station is located in the same complex. read more

If I could give them a negative star I would. Food is not good and the service is absolutely HORRIBLE! I ordered a to go order for chicken omelette with NO onions and unfortunately did not check my order prior to leaving. Well after getting back to work I discovered that their was in fact onions on my omelette. Now I understand that we're all human and we all make mistakes but it's what happened afterwards that upsets me so and is the reason that I will NEVER give them my business again. First I called to speak with the manager to complain about my order. After being put on hold for several minutes when the person who answered finnaly picked the phone back up she was extremely rude. I asked for the manager and was told by her that she was it. I simply explained that my order was incorrect and all she said was that she was sorry and then hung up on me. Ofcourse I called back very upset at this point and asked to speak with the owner. She said with much attitude that the owner never comes in and asked why I was calling back. I then asked for the owners name and she said that she couldn't give it to me... REALLY. She then asked me what I wanted and I said for my order to be made correctly like I requested and she said NO that they would not be able to do that. At this point it's quite obvious that they only want customers to pay their money and no matter how HORRIBLE the service is they do not care.
