Food was amazing. We stopped in on our way to Florida after staying at one of the local hotels. They serve any food at any time. My son got the Philly chicken sandwich which was stuffed full of meat and served on top of french fries. My friend and I both got Belgian waffles with fruit and side of ham and sausage. Everything was so good. I would recommend to anyone travelling through or who lives in the area to take advantage of this little gem! read more

How sad...an omelet restaurant that has NO IDEA how to cook an omelet...sigh To my 2-egg spinach ham and swiss cheese omelet i added a third egg, mushrooms and onion... I got a flat griddle egg cover instead of a folded or flipped omelet, inside of which were spinach leaves, barely browned ham chunks, large chunks of mushrooms and finely diced onions...both not caramelized and barely heated...AND NO SWISS CHEESE WHATSOEVER!! On top of that i also paid extra for well-done hash browns....which turned out be finely shredded potatoes barely browned... I wont be doing this again i dont suspect.... read more

Yummo! All our omelettes were great! Service was nice, the food came out fast, prices were reasonable and the place is clean. It's super close to the interstate so if you are traveling on 95 and want a quick breakfast spot, this is a good choice and a nice alternative to all the chains you see along the way. read more

Rating is for service only. Came in on a busy Sunday morning and sat down at an open table; waited and watched a few other new tables sit down; waited and watched servers hit all the other tables that sat down after us. Still waited and then finally gave up and left. I'd potentially try it again, but if this place is going to be a "seat yourself" establishment, they need to train servers on handling tables appropriately. I worked in the service industry for years and the first general rule of thumb is that you greet tables in the order they're seated. And if you don't greet them at all within 10 minutes as you're working your section, then you shouldn't be surprised to see them walk out. Tip: There's an awesome diner Oldies but Goodies just up the road (almost across the street, right by the Western Sizzling) that we went to instead that had excellent service and a really nice breakfast. We decided to give this place a try after reading all the fabulous reviews on YELP. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken right away, but it took quite a while to get our drinks. You can tell this is a place with a lot of regulars because they were taken care of before us. However, our waitress was very friendly and accept for the long wait for the drinks she was very attentive. By the time we finally got our drinks our food was right out. The amount of food you get for the price is insane (in a good way.) We couldn't finish it all. My cheese, bacon, and tomato omlette was fantastic. If anything there was too much bacon in it (if that is even possible.) My husband got some sort of breakfast platter and seemed to enjoy his food. He couldn't finish it either. We will be back for sure. This place is really popular with the older crowd (as we were walking out there was a group of about 15 silver haired gentleman coming in) and while we were there we also saw several police officers coming in and out for breakfast as well. I brought my family here this morning because we were in the area. I had eaten here two or three times before a couple of years ago and it was incredible. Things have definitely changed. The middle-aged tattooed woman that took our order had an attitude from the beginning, which was already frustrating because my two toddlers both love talking to waiters/waitresses at restaurants but this woman wasn't interested. I can get past that. What I can't get past is that I wasn't really in the mood for breakfast (though my wife and kids were) and asked what they had other than breakfast foods. I was told they didn't have anything other than breakfast...so I ordered the breakfast meal. Fast forward literally 30 seconds and I see that the back of the menu has cheeseburgers on it. At this point our waitress is cleaning off a different table and hasn't even made it to the front to place our order. We asked for my meal to be changed to a cheeseburger. The waitress told us that we could do that, but we would have to pay for both meals. Obviously, we weren't going to do that since it hadn't even been a full minute since we ordered (I would understand if they had started cooking it already). She told us if we had any problems we could direct the to the manager. Assuming that we would have the issue resolved relatively quickly, we directed the situation to the manager. The manager took on the same stance of the waitress and said that they were going to proceed with cooking our order and that we were welcome to pay for that meal and a cheeseburger. Against my better judgement, I told my wife we would just eat what we ordered. When the food arrived, the eggs (which were supposed to be scrambled with cheese) arrived with literally one sprinkle of cheese. I said calmly "ma'am I asked for scrambled with cheese" to which our waitress replied "you can't see that cheese right there?" At that point we decided to leave. I find it unfortunate that the ownership of this restaurant has allowed their staff to become what it is. This was a blatant example of lack of training and customer service. I'll never be back again, and regret that I've ever given this restaurant my money in the past. I would give it 0/5 stars if I could. read more

Since they named it omelette cafe I had a veggie omelette. With rye toast and tomatoes vs. grits. It was very good, the veggies were fresh and crisp including the mushrooms and broccoli. But what stood out was the omelette egg portion was thin similar to a crepe, light and flavorful, wrapped around a good portion of veggies, it was really good. I almost finished my meal since it wasnt thick. The place was packed, it was a Saturday morning, but they do turn tables pretty rapidly. read more

Thieves, I placed my order and it was entirely wrong and instead of fixing it they said no. They insisted it was my fault for ordering wrong. I use to eat there twice a week. Now I'll strongly encourage everyone I meet to go elsewhere. They would not fix my order nor refund me, but gladly threw my food away. That is theft and if you go to eat there you are encouraging that behavior. My eggs could of been cooked better by a 9 year old. Two eggs over easy were flat and smothered in butter. The owner insisted that is how they are made to go. WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. I encourage everyone that reads this to save their money and find a better restaurant. read more

Expectation met 100%. We came here even after I read several bad reviews - I think many reviews about the bad service has to do with super busy and popularity of this restaurant. We found it very nice and service couldn't be better. We ordered several items and kids and U.S. Enjoyed every bit of it. Many more times better than iHop and waffleHouse. read more

When I asked if they had cheesy grits, they said they did, and they came out with a melted slice of American cheese. As an annual tradition of our summer vacay we look for a restaurant to have breakfast before getting back on the road and going our separate ways. We walk in to a sign that says "please seat yourself" the tables were all full so we waited and grabbed them as they came available since we had a party of 13. Just as we had enough tables/seating a waitress comes and scolds me (quite loudly) in front of the entire cafe for not coming to ask them for tables before selecting our seats. As if we were not all standing at the front for 10mins waiting on tables to begin with. She then continues to talk rudely to me and my family saying that "I clearly don't understand!" We even told her we would pay for each table individually so it would not effect what waitress took each table (my family is in the food service and did not want to take away from anyone). In the end we left without eating and decided it was worth the 45min wait to go to Cracker Barrel and not support local this trip. read more

Let's start by saying that you can't blame a restaurant for having to wait to get a seat or for your server to get to you. This quaint little place is pushing out as much food as IHOP in 1/3 of the space, so do the math. As for quality, this place FAR exceeded our expectations. The omelettes were huge and tasted great (the best thing on the the breakfast menu), the pancakes my daughter had were above average, and my son had the waffle, and that was equally as good. If you're expecting some 5 star downtown brunch, then don't come here. But if you're expecting a 5 star hometown diner atmosphere with huge portions and low cost, then this is your place. so good I went back twice on a weekend trip. Place is oddly in same plaza as Poller Police so don't be alarmed by cop cars. Seat yourself establishment with old school breakfast menu.
