From the day before, when I talk to Victor over the phone he went above and beyond. He wasn't just knowledgeable about the watches--he was thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the entire process special. His professionalism and patience, turned what could have been a simple purchase into a memorable experience. It's rare to encounter someone who blends expertise with such personal care, but that's exactly what Victor does. This review is for the service side only at this location, the "flagship." Was shopping in the area, so dropped by with my Omega timepiece to inquire about a small issue. After walking out the store, noticed new damage to the watch. Reached out to the service desk to see if they could make things right and was met with a very hostile and unhelpful attitude (Shantel in particular was quite rude and belligerent). Visited the 5th Avenue Omega store for the first time, in order to add a link to my Seamaster watch, and I was blown away. From the moment that you decide to enter, you'll have a doorman opening the door and welcoming you to Omega. The store is magnificently decorated and they have various areas where you can sit and relax. Every staff member is friendly, dressed to impress, and I never felt rushed. I was directed to their service area, upstairs, and just the walk up the stairs was beautiful. I met with Zugeiry and she was hospitable, professional, I felt comfortable throughout the entire visit, and her workmanship was stellar. The store is upscale and you have to enter the sales area to access the service area , which is upstairs. You know it is luxury when you enter the store. 'It must have been something you did" said the imperious popinjay behind the service counter as I explained that my Omega "Moonwatch" had just stopped working. Yes, I exclaimed, I disassembled the watch and mangled the cheap Swatch (Omega's owner) movement just for grins or better yet... the worst thing I did was purchase the overrated and overpriced sundial in the first place. A few months ago went in and purchased a Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m watch. More recently I was there and purchased the stainless steel mesh bracelet for the same watch. Each time I was assisted by Dorian Corbin who was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. My friend and I were quickly offered seats by one of the desks across from the display cases and were offered some water. Dorian took the time to answer all of our questions and treated us like long time friends. I personally enjoyed the whole experience each time thanks to Dorian. I have not dealt with any other staff members so I can't make any comments about anyone else. But I would definitely go back for any of my watch needs because of the exceptional service that I received. read more

My old Omega watch had slowed down, so I brought it to the store to see if I simply needed a new battery or if the problem was more serious. I was rudely cross-examined about the history of the watch before eventually being told that Omega could not open it to check on the problem without charging $500. After I asked some questions, they eventually admitted that the problem was likely the battery. I took the watch a few doors down to a respected retailer who fixed everything up for under 10% of what Omega wanted to charge me. Amazing experience with Andy at the Omega boutique. I stopped with my wife and son to look at at the Seamaster Titanium over a two day period. Andy was incredibly gracious with his time and sharing his knowledge about the brand and the specific model. He is truly a master at his profession and a fantastic brand ambassador for Omega. The service here is fantastic and worthy of the Omega name. I own several Omega watches and have asked the service team to switch out straps and adjust my bracelets. Each time, the members of the service team do so free of charge and with a smile. In particular, Zugheiry in the service department is always cheerful and willing to help, as is Lionel. Do not bring your watch here for repair or battery change, they are like a shady mechanic shop trying to make you spend more money replacing things not needed than the watch is even worth. Asked for simple battery change $30, and refused to do it with out a complete refurbish for $500 and refused the full service without replacing band. Who's business is it what band I use. and it was the original band in great shape. Pathetic service for high end watch. I guess business is going really bad and they trying to swindle customers anyway they can. Long term i will never buy omega again. My IWC was out of warranty and they repaired the crown free of charge and sent me a free travel case on top of it. They guy made his decision before even seeing the watch and was telling me its going to take 30 min to set up the service because he needs to review the watch. Hint! We going to try and swindle you, and make me waste 30 NY minutes for a mediocre watch just to try get as much money out of your timepiece battery change as possible. I'm not the only one saying the Read Chris W. Review, he said same issue. You don't spend $5-10K on a watch to be swindled by some some pathetic sales man whos main purpose is not to keep customers happy and coming back, but to try suck as much more money out of simple battery repair as possible. Its like going for a car inspection and mechanic trying every possible trick to get you to do unneeded services. Customer service wasn't very interested in customers (despite already having an Omega on my wrist). I visited 3 times before anyone in service bothered to pay attention. The service time is obscenely long and the customer support once you ship your watch off is what you'd expect from a bulk manufacture. I guess the guys in sales tried, but they only sort of knew the product. One rep after many calls was very knowledgeable and helpful so they receive 2 stars. I've been coming to this location for years to service my old Seamaster Professional diver. It was only recently, however, that I made a purchase, as I was in the market for the silver dial 38mm Aqua Terra. I emailed the boutique inquiring about its availability and got a prompt response. The watch was special ordered and on my wrist within a week. Additionally, even though the boutique was out of presentation boxes when I made the purchase, I was mailed one shortly thereafter, as promised. Most importantly, though, the boutique's manager was able to give me a copy of 'The No Time to Die' edition of OMEGA Lifetime. The issue had been pulled from display, as the film's release date was still in limbo. This small gesture did much to satisfy this 007 mega-fan! I had purchased a watch here and I enjoyed the experience a lot. The service was very friendly and there was a lot of options to select from. I decided to go with a Omega Speedmaster First Omega in Space re edition which is a twist on the pre moon Speedmaster. I'm happy with the watch, and I have to say Omega gives you a lot for the money. It's nice to have a world class chronograph at the prices charged by Omega without the nonsense of waitlists etc. read more

This location really rubbed me the wrong way. The Omega logo on my 1-year-old strap fell off. They ultimately refused to fix it citing wear-and-tear but before that judged me because I bought it online and said that had I purchased the watch in-store a manager could override the service team's decision and comp the repair. Then in a follow-up email the manager said I could buy a new buckle for $250 and that they would even install it for me for free. I'm pretty active on the various Omega forums and there is definitely a pattern lately with QA issues and bad service from the brand. I'd steer clear. read more

I ordered a stainless steel band for my Planet Ocean watch. The band came in the day before I left for vacation. I called the store and said I would be away for 4 weeks. They said that they will hold the band for 6 weeks. The 5th week I called to confirm that the band was still there and that I will be picking it up this Saturday October 1st. They said yes the band is still here, so I said great see you Saturday. I live about 2 hours from the 5th Ave store. Drove down, paid to park in a garage. I walk to the store and told the person I'm here to get a band that I ordered that was on hold. The girl comes out to say that the band I ordered, that they hold for 6 weeks, that I call to confirm its still there, that I said I would pick up was SOLD to someone else. I ask for the manager, Dario Mainella the boutique director came out to say he was sorry that they had to order another band. I said NO!! that was unacceptable. I have 4 Omega watches that retail for over $28,000. It was their mistake, they should've made me an offer to my satisfaction, but it never came. Jacob was helpful and friendly and directed me upstairs to their watchmaker. 10 minutes later, the damaged screws were replaced free of charge. What a great experience. A doorman at the door lets you in, and as you enter on the first floor they have their most popular models. Store is spotless, you can literally eat of the floor here. Good service, until I told that them that I was trying on their Omegas with the intent to go find one pre-owned. I understand that this boutique will not make money when I buy a pre-owned Omega somewhere else, but it should all be about promoting the brand, because any and all interest in any Omega watch anywhere is good for the brand. Part of the reason that Rolex does so well is that the resale market for a Rolex is huge. You can always sell a Rolex. The more people buy pre-owned Omegas , the better the resale market for Omegas and the more valuable NEW Omegas are. I get that most department stores don't like showrooming, but that should not be true of designer boutiques. If I buy a pair of Prada dress shoes from Bluefly, it's still good for a Prada boutique because it's good for Prada. Bluefly must have paid Prada or a Prada seller for their overstock and they did this BECAUSE people buy Prada online. The revenue still finds its way back to Prada's coffers. The same is true of Omega. Always promote the brand. The pre-owned market is not competition. It wouldn't exist without new purchases from Omega. read more

I took my omega twice for repair under warranty. Both times I had to bring the watch back. First was the watch maker incorrectly placed a part called the (bridge barrel) which caused the movement to fail after a month. The second occasion, I had the pleasure of dealing with this boutique was, because on the first repair, they managed to leave foreign debris inside the watch. It was clearly visible through the Crystal. Definitely not the exacting standards of a luxury watch brand. Did this boutique address my concerns? Well, the answer is yes they did. Having been 5 or 6 times this place can really go either way. On one end I've had great discussions with watch makers and sales people who actually like the watches they are repairing and selling. On the other hand I've had discussions with sales people who know very little about the product and have actually said things I know are completely wrong. They're usually pretty responsive to everyone here - guess it helps that I've most often had Omega's on when I came in. I'm a big fan of the brand, having a few different pieces. Never mind watch repair, they can't even replace a battery! I kid you not. Replacing a battery normally takes about 15 minutes. But not here. They'd have to send your watch out, and you'd be lucky to have it back in three or four months. To replace a battery? What kind of business practice is that? Extremely friendly and very professional staff. The girl and I made our way in here finally, after a day of wandering through a seriously exhaustive number of stores. My watch was about a year overdue for servicing, and needed a cleaning to boot, so I wasn't sure we would be able to get everything done as they were fairly close to closing. The doorman was super polite, joking with us and allowing her to bring in her dog. Went up to the service area and gave the guy behind the counter all my info, he retrieved one of the techs from the back area to answer some questions for me. Turns out, he says, even though I'm past due for a service the watch is in good shape so I don't need to spend any extra on that, and the cleaning is going to cost me nothing. 0 dollars. Sweet! So, they wanted me to leave it overnight so they could give it an "ultrasonic" cleaning, and called me the next afternoon to tell me it was ready. Headed back out after work, doorman recognized me and talked about the dog we had with us a little (impressive, considering how many people must walk in and out of a store on 5th ave in a day..) and I picked up the watch. Super cool people. Sadly, the watch was stolen recently but I will definitely head here if it ends up being another Omega I replace it with. read more

I am a huge fan of Omega watches and wondered in here a few years ago when it first opened. You are treated like royalty even if you are just browsing. The manager and I talked for about hour since no one else was in the store and he showed me the limited editions to be released. Classic timepieces built with the up most quality. They are built better and more reliable than Rolex. The prices have gone up a lot unfortunately since I have purchased my first Seamaster disappointingly. I guess they realized they can get it. I had the great pleasure of working with two separate associates during my purchase of my Omega Speedy Pro Sapphire Sandwich. On my first day learning a bit more about the watch I was about to buy I worked with Carlos, who was as nice and professional as could be. He walked me through the history (which I knew most of, but found out some new goodies), and showed me a variety of options within my price range. Not once did he try to over sell me, or pressure me into making a purchase that day. Having enjoyed my time in the store, and being such an Omega fan I decided to head back the very next day. Unfortunately, Carlos was not working. However I was able to work with Oswaldo, who was equally as pleasant as Carlos. He made the whole experience so enjoyable. I came in, sat down to make my decision between the Speedy Pro Sapphire, the Seamaster Pro, and the Seamaster Aqua Terra. Once my decision was made, Oswaldo brought me over a glass of champagne, got my watch ready and I was on my way out the door. Look, you can go to a store who sells Omega, but do yourself the favor and venture over to Fifth Ave and head into the store. The staff is amazing the experience is second to none. DO NOT GET YOUR WATCH POLISHED HERE. I had a Speedmaster I brought in for service a while back, which had polished center links. They brushed the entire bracelet. Realizing their mistake, they offered to fix it; however, in their attempt to do so, the tech rounded off all of the edges detracting from the overall aesthetic of the watch. Brushing was also not straight. I could have done a better job with 600 grit sandpaper and a Dremel. No complaints about the movement service though. Just a little expensive. You're probably better off just going to a competent independent watchmaker. read more

I am very disappointed with the service department at the Omega boutique on 5th Ave. After my clasp broke, I brought it in for service and was told the expected turn-around time was two weeks. After three-and-a-half weeks, I called only to be told the required part was on order from Switzerland and would be available the following week. Now, I'm on week number eight. I understand delays happen, but I have called every week, and every week, I am told the required part would be shipped the following week. I have been promised return phone calls, but no such calls came. Again, I understand that procuring a part from Switzerland takes time, but I am continually being given the run-around, and not returning my phone calls is simply unacceptable, especially from a high-end retailer. I absolutely love the brand, but I would think twice before dealing with this particular retailer. read more

Horrible service/"customer experience" department - or lack thereof. The "services" manager argues with customers with an impatient attitude. Long story short, I had two watches that they told me needed to be taken in and serviced, one of the which has been worn maybe 10 times total. They looked at both watches for a good amount of time, examined thoroughly and then took to the back room to be shipped to the NJ servicing place. About a week or two later, I get a call telling me that the watch had a broken dial. My natural reaction was, what happened? It was fine when I dropped it off! So I asked to speak with the manager. He calls me the next day and boy, does he know how to talk to people! Completely crude and impatient and cuts me off left and right. Takes the crown for the worst "customer service" that I've ever encountered. I'm not sure if they understand what CX is...To think that a world-renowned brand such as Omega allows this... What a huge disappointment! Not only in their seemingly "money-grabbing" customer experience, but also product quality!! When I went back to pick up the watches, I spoke with a rep on the first floor (he was understanding), who then gave me the contact information of a manager by the name of Dario. Perhaps it was the commercials during NBC's Olympic coverage? Maybe it was my Breitling Super Ocean Steel-Fish X Plus overstaying its welcome? Nevertheless, I was in the mood for a new watch... After all, timepieces are classic and an adult male can never have more than one (or five). Having caught my attention after various commercials and online advertisements, there was very little doubt that I had to (at the very least) try out the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean. Luckily for those residing in the "city that never sleeps", an Omega store was available right in the middle of Midtown Manhattan. Venturing to Omega Boutique on Fifth Avenue is a shopping experience for those tenured. For starters, the various tourists parading outside the establishment with their massive DSLR Cameras would only dare glimpse at the window displays. Stepping foot into the establishment, they would not. Perhaps it was a certain level of intimidation? Or could it be their having zero intent to purchase a watch? Nevertheless, those of us who are familiar to the terrain will realize that the establishment does not bite, and will welcome any and all customers looking to sample the high end quality products rendered by this Swiss brand. Entering Omega revealed a cascade of ivory walls and spotlighting that cascades the establishment. The store itself can best be described as delicate canvas that highlights the Swiss watch manufacturers various offerings. With the perfectly clean environment, sales representatives in perfectly tailored suits, and a spacious showroom, one can only be delighted at the set up of this Omega establishment. Upon entry, patrons are greeted by forthcoming sales representatives and are aided throughout the establishment. After identifying my intent to sample the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, I was escorted to the display area and was shown multiple models of the watch. After sampling the 45mm (Rubber Bracelet with Buckle), 42mm (Orange Dial, Thin Rubber Bracelet with Buckle) and the 42mm (Steel Bracelet), it was deemed that this was the watch that would be my next acquisition. Furthermore, my sales representative was patient in the entire process. My sales representative provided excellent details on the make, composition and movement of the watch. In addition, he advised that it would be favorable to purchase the watch with the Steel Bracelet and purchase the Wide Rubber Bracelet separately. Needless to say, service was beyond expectations and superbly attentive. 20 minutes in the store to only sample three watches might seem excessive. For those of us whom are timepiece aficionados, it is little time spent to find a quality timepiece that will be kept for years to come. Although I may not purchase from this Omega Boutique, it was excellent to experience the high quality and attentive service rendered by this establishment. I came in here twice; once about 3 years ago when I first started working. I was fresh out of college so I dressed very casually. I didn't get a lot of service, but I admit I was in way over my head because I didn't even know much about watches. Last month I went again, this time wearing a button-down over jeans (so less casual, but not truly formal) to learn more about Omega watches. I first talked to an associate who showed me the different Speedmaster models available. He was very knowledgeable about the products and we spent some time talking about the brand and their movements in general. I asked if I could get any reading material and he gladly put together some stuff for me, adding that there's also more online. I was then directed to Carlos Cruz, who I spent half an hour talking to about the Omega brand, the Co-Axial movement, the El Primero movement, as well as watches in general. Carlos had a lot of poise, was VERY knowledgeable about Omega and also fairly knowledgeable about other watches as well. He went over the history of how the Speedmaster became the first watch on the moon. I threw some hardball questions at him about the skepticism on the Co-Axial movement, the benefits of the El Primero movement, etc. and he answered them all well without skipping a beat. He threw SO much information at me after a while I couldn't register it all. It was an incredibly informative session and at no time did it feel like he was trying to sell me anything. He complimented my knowledge of watch movements, was incredibly cordial and wished me luck on my first watch purchase (this came up at some point in the conversation). Even though I didn't buy anything from this place, the service was great; it's a shame they don't haggle, but they do offer 12-month deferred interest financing. read more
