One call response, within minutes, brought out Clark's Roadside Assistance/Danny (Kudos) who tested the battery and informed us that it was most likely the alternator. The second call response from AAA had Roadside Assistance ETA at 2:25 pm from Superior - they never showed. 2:51 pm Call back to AAA. AAA had Roadside Assistance ETA at 3:45 pm from Superior, they never showed. 4:16 pm Call back to AAA - basically told, we were on our own, find our own tow company and submit the invoice for reimbursement. Started calling tow companies: by now, whoever was open until 3pm or 5pm is now closed. Got CLIFFORD in the phone - 24/hr service - we needed a flatbed for the car since it was 4WD, NP, he had two. He gave me a quote, near 1/2 what I had heard during the day ! By now, almost five hours later, my mechanic/tech brother had removed the alternator and taken it to Advanced Auto Parts to trade it in and to get a new alternator. He had some trouble connecting it, but by 535pm/ish, mom's car started and she was able to drive home. Called back CLIFFORD during this time to say we may/may not need the tow. He was courteous, and understanding, basically saying, hey, if you need us, call back, we are here. Didn't actually need the tow, but I had to write about the professionalism he displayed, the resources available, the fair quote, and the openness to be or not to be of service. Well done - thank you CLIFFORD. Patronage recommended.

Been my go to automotive service providers for seven years, helping keep my oldy but goody 2010 Lincoln MKX in top performance. Don and his crew are incredibly conscientious. I don'task anymore "how much will it cost?" Service rates far below dealership hourly rates, and warranty parts and service better than any others. Praying they stay in businessfor many more years. They are a great service to our local community and much appreciated. Loyal customer

However, once I got to Pennsylvania, the car stalled in the middle of the road during a snowstorm. Thankfully, I broke down in front of a mobile mechanic who followed me home to make sure I got there safely. The next day he diagnosed the issue: a faulty throttle sensor. While under the hood, he also discovered that the wiring on the part Hilton had installed had exposed metal and had started to burn. This could have been a serious safety hazard. He repaired and properly sealed the wires (photo attached). He also found a completely rotted hose that should have been caught during inspection and replaced it. Hilton did not offer any reimbursement -- just an "oops, sorry." Despite this, I gave them another chance and recently brought my car in for rear brakes and rotors. I dropped it off at 11:00 a.m. and clearly explained I had a doctor's appointment and needed it done by 2:30. At 1:15 they said they were working on it. The car wasn't finished until after 3:00. I was charged $459 for two hours of labor and parts. Pep Boys quoted about $100 less and likely would have finished sooner. There's no customer viewing window, so you have no idea what's happening with your vehicle. I'm done with the "car guys" routine. I won't be returning. Pep Boys will be getting my business from now on.
