We are snowbirds and have a place in Beverly Hills. We had a mechanical problem with our 2021 Mazda but did not know where to go for service, besides the dealership in Ocala. I saw Steve's sign and decided to stop by. I am glad I did. Eric handled everything very professionally and unlike the dealer, they did not try to push for additional tasks. Their pricing is very competitive. We are satisfied that we have found our 'go to' place for auto maintenance and repairs! read more

Mr. Eric, is by far the most polite and helpful employee I've ever dealt with from a mechanic shop!

Cannot recommend Eric anymore,my wife had her transmission serviced here 3 months later it was slipping so my wife brought it back to Eric who drove the car and said it was fine now 3 more months later and she needs an $8,000 transmission. This place was great right up until its time to take responsibility for your actions and they fell flat on their faces. read more

Eric was amazing, very helpful and got my car fixed in under 4 hours for 4x less than chain locations wanted from me (Tires Plus, Tire Kingdom) and actually gave me a diagnosis and a fix that made my car feel even better than when I brought it in read more

You won't find better value for your auto/truck repair dollars than Steve's. Great service, precise troubleshooting, clean efficient repair space, and excellent value. If Eric & the team tell you what's needed, you can bank on it, and it will be just the necessary work & parts. I brought them a 2004 Impala I had just purchased and they found a strut ready to fail, saved me from a big problem on the road. Many times since they have saved me a ton of $ always replacing or tuning just what is needed to keep the old car safe and running like a top. Thank you guys, you're the best shop I've dealt with in all my locations with the military and since!! read more

We have been taking our 2008 vehicle to Steve's Auto Repair. Eric (Steve's son), and other members of their crew are experts at diagnosing & fixing problems on our elderly car. This is an honest auto repair shop. We're going to continue to take our car there until her last gasp. Hopefully, that will be many years from now!!! Thanks, guys!!! read more

I moved here from Massachusetts and needed a mechanic. Having a strong mechanical and engineering background I'm very critical of who works on my vehicles. Due to the fact that you have no idea who will be working on your car at a dealership (a.k.a. stealership), I avoid them at all costs. I asked a knowledgeable friend for a recommendation to do some repair work on a BMW I owned. There are a dozen closer shops, but he sent me to Steve's. I was very please with the knowledge and level of service I received and I've been going there for all my automotive needs for 3 years now. I've also referred other people who have always been pleased as well. This is a family run operation. Eric is Steve's son and runs the shop while Steve is happy to turn a wrench. This shop does everything from simple oil changes to major engine rebuilds and replacements. If you leave your car here, you can rest assured that it is in good hands. http://www.stevesautorepaironline.com/ read more

Steve's Auto is the best. They've worked on my car several times and I've always been completely satisfied. The first time they worked on my car I'd called several other places asking for cost estimate and I was given vague answers, well it could be this or that amount. When l called Steve's I was given an exact quite and after the repair was complete there were no surprises, the cost was exactly what I was quoted. I'm an older single female and I was worried about finding an honest mechanic when I first moved here. Fortunately, I found Steve's. They are the best, most honest auto repair you will find. read more

Steve's Auto is by far my trusted mech. Very honest, no pressure, very fair price! Eric explains what the problem is and then provides you options to fix the vehicle. Eric is a very honest person and runs his business the same way, with honesty, integrity in his work and fairness in his prices. When we first came to him approximately 12 years ago several other mechanics could not figure out what the codes from their code reader meant to fix our car. He figured it within about hour. He has been our mechanic ever since! We do not go anywhere else. Our trust is in his knowledge and his dilegence to fix what is wrong on our automobile. He has kept that hometown warmth and friendliness with his business and we consider him family. read more

SUPERB SERVICE! I cannot stress that enough! As a single mother of a young child, and with health issues when my check engine light came on, I panicked. I took my vehicle to a local auto store, to have the code read. I was told that it was a certain sensor in my engine, but being ignorant to anything mechanical, I was lost. Due to how my car was driving, I took it to the nearest auto repair shop by my home. I was happy to be greeted by a woman when I went in. They quickly tested the code, (only) and she told me what was wrong and gave me their opinion as to what was needed. The following day at my office, I was told by a coworker to have a second opinion by Steve's Auto Repair, in Inverness. She told me that this family owned business has always treated her with the utmost respect and she never felt that she was being taken advantage of, because of being a "woman ". I am so glad I took her advice. I called and spoke to Eric who calmed my fears (he could hear the panic in my voice I'm sure) and he took his time with me over the phone, asking several questions and he said bring "the patient" in and we'll go from there. I did as he suggested and I dropped my vehicle off so it could be "examined ". I was called later in the day and he told me what the code reader found, and the damage from a not so very nice "critter" that decided to possibly make my engine it's home, or, just eat the wires! Eric was so thorough in his explanation to me I felt at ease with this shop and how this work was going to be completed. I was so impressed! Eric not only took the time to educate me, but he also had respect for me. And that is HUGE in this world when it comes to being a naive woman in regards to car repairs. He sat down with me and helped me better understand what needs to be done. I was so very happy and pleased. My car was with them for a few days, was treated and released (my words!) and I was off and driving. My car (2005) was like brand new! I am SO ever Thankful to this local, family owned (2 generations! ) auto shop, I can't thank them enough. Eric is mechanically educated, trustworthy, respectful, and super nice and kind. I trust him 100% when it comes to my vehicle. You will too! Thank You Steve's Auto Repair! Kerri K. read more

Finally a mechanic I feel knows what he is doing!!! After repeated times and no results from a different repair shop I took my PT Cruiser to Steve's...Eric was very professional and took the time to tell me exactly what he would be doing step by step with the repairs.....he is very knowledgeable and wants to do what is best for the car and customer. When I picked the car up it is running better than it has in at least a year...I would recommend Steve's Auto to anyone that was looking for a reliable auto service. read more

I took my mini Cooper to Steve's Auto Repair, where I had excellent service. They not only called me when my parts hadn't come in yet but also kept me updated until they did. I was very pleased with their work and their honesty letting me know not everything needed to be done that they had thought in the beginning, they only fixed what was needed and sent the other part back. I really appreciate their service and would highly recommend it to my friends and family! read more

Probably the best service I've received at a mechanic shop. Was in and out in under an hour. Car wasn't starting right, and they were able to diagnose and fix in under an hour what took 3 shops to tell me would not be a cheap fix over the course of a week. Would highly recommend visiting this shop for any issues in the county. read more
