I returned the following business day to discuss potentially receiving a refund and possibly compensation for my damaged property (my wheels) and they refuse to comply. They say their techs tightened my lug nuts to spec. Implying i left their shop and loosened my lug nuts myself and then drove on said wheels ultimately damaging them to the point that they wont even bolt onto my vehicle properly now. outrageous! I was driving my vehicle the evening of the day they performed service on my vehicle and the steering wheel began to shake violently and making lots of noise, i got out to check my car, jacked it up and the wheel was just floating there loosely, with roughly an inch of play in all directions. I had to leave my vehicle in the parking lot of a church over night with a note in the window containing my phone number, of course the property owners called me bright and early at 7AM the following morning, saturday and told me i had to get there within an hour an have my car removed from their lot or it would be towed, so i got up and went there and waited for a tow truck to arrive to get my car towed home. I take great pride in my 99 Lexus and it shows, these people also dropped my car from 3 feet high onto the cement with their lift, WHILE I WAS SITTING IN THE VEHICLE! I'm sure their insurance company would love to hear that one! I would NEVER recommend this business to ANYONE. I am now in the process of having my attorney contact them. It's a shame, something so simple could easily be handled outside of court with their insurance company and none of this would happen.

Found a firestone and they said I need two new back tires, and going briefly mentioned the shock. They did not have the tire size in stock. I called Mavis and was told they do have the tires. I had to drive 30 miles an hour, 9 miles, but made it. They took care of everything and showed me the shock. It was severely damaged which made it a dangerous situation. We needed a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) replacement for our vehicle. That's basically the valve stem which monitors the tire pressure for that tire. There is one for each tire. If a sensor is not functioning there is a warning light displayed on the dash. The warning displayed that only 1 of the 4, TPMS' was not functioning properly. So, I called Mavis. I was told that they could replace it with no problem and that they were not busy now. I drove over, walked into the store and saw that they were indeed busy. So, I talked with a very nice gentleman at the desk (they do not wear name tags). I told him what I thought I needed and made an appointment for 0930 the next day. I arrived at 0920 and checked in. At approximately 11:10 I was called to the desk. A gentleman explained what was wrong, he explained the replacement process. I was good with it and asked what the price was. It was at this time the gentleman tried the upsell of replacing all 4 sensors. DISCLAIMER: I understand upselling, I don't disagree with it, I don't have a problem with it. I appreciate being updated on possible problems and/or inconveniences. I was told that I could buy 3 sensors and get one free and was told the price. I was not interested in replacing all 4 sensors, just the one. The gentleman tried his hardest to convince me that it was in my best interest to have all 4 replaced. I said I understood the reasoning however I was not interested. I asked if just the one sensor be replaced. The gentleman declined my request and stated that they would not replace just one sensor, they had to replace them all because they did not want to get into something that they might have to repair later. Of course, this makes no sense at all because each tire is handled independently of the others. I made it clear that what they were asking me to do was to replace functioning parts, that they were basically requiring me to pay for repairs that were not necessary, for repairs that I did not need. To be clear, the repairs were not needed for my safety. Further, by only replacing one sensor Mavis was not exposing themselves to any liability. IMO there were no legitimate reasons to replace all 4 sensors, at least not given to me by the gentleman. I asked if it was the policy of that location to require all sensors to be replaced. The gentleman told me that it was. Because he told me this, I did not feel the need to speak to a manager as it was their policy. Use caution and wear high boots when dealing with Mavis Tire and Brakes in Lecanto. I did take my business to Express Oil Change just across the street and the folks were great. Replaced only one sensor while I waited.

This truck has now been sitting there 2YEARS. No response from owner. With this sitting for 2 years the fuel tank and the lines along with fuel filter all will have to drained and replaced. I brought my 1997 Chevy Tahoe (with 382000 miles) in to have the vacuum power brake booster and master cylinder replaced. I provided the parts. They quoted me a price of a little over $400.00 for the labor. I dropped off at 7:30am on Thursday of that week and was able to pick it up by noon. When I got there too, to my very pleasant surprise the bill was $100.00 less than originally quoted.
