the picture shows a grilled chicken banh mi & beef bulgogi banh mi w/ some garlic salt fries. the fries could definitely be fried a bit more but the sandwiches were both delicious!! the chicken was juicy and the bread was perfect - crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. the bulgogi was sweet and tender - not overly sweet though. service was quick and the shop has enough seating for about 10 small families of (2-4)!? giving four stars instead of 5 because of the cleanliness of the tables and seats - it is self clean after you eat so the tables were super sticky .. we had to clean it with hand sanitizer ourselves prior to sitting down.

Beef bulgogi banh mi and took the fried egg from the rice plate

Really enjoyed our food from here. We tried the fried egg rolls, the popcorn chicken and rice dish and beef bulgogi banh mi with extra aioli. All of the food was delicious-5/5 on all accounts! My son barely let me try a bite of the egg roll!! We also tried their lychee drink w rainbow jelly and Viet iced tea. The tea was too strong for me but it's my first time having it. The lychee drink was really refreshing and the right amount of sweetness. The popcorn chicken had a nice flavor profile of salt pepper and some briny taste! Super crispy and flavorful. The beef bulgogi sandwich was also great w tender meats and lots of fresh veggies, the bread was crunchy and fresh. All of our food was brought to our table within 10 min of us ordering at the counter. 10/10 would recommend for your banh-mi cravings!

Nice clean cute interior, employees were masked. I ordered fries (good spicy Mayo dipping sauce) , viet fish sauce wings (very yummy, on the sweet gooey side ) , coffee frappe (perfectly made-- creamy and yummy), and lychee kumquat tea with 25% sugar (still sweet but refreshing). They also have Vietnamese sandwiches and a limited appetizer menu (fried squid, popcorn chicken...etc). In harvest green area close to grand Pkwy.

Bulgogi Banh mi, spicy tamarind wings, espresso brown sugar with oat milk

Clean and casual vibe. Friendly customer service. -Pho broth was flavorful, would definitely recommend 8/10 -Tamarind wings: Flavor was amazing, very similar to twin peaks spicy Thai chili wings. The wings were not crispy and definitely could have been cooked longer 4/10 -bulgogi bang mi: meat was cooked well, good flavor, classic Banh mi. -espresso brown sugar oatmilk: I got it with less sugar than the regular which made it just the right level of sweetness. Definitely better than Starbucks, would get again! 9/10

Combo Banh mi

First time trying Om Nom Cafe! I got the combo Banh mi and really enjoyed it. The bread was toasted perfectly and the pork was savory and flavorful! I also had an original milk tea with boba that was pretty good. Not the best, but it could be because it was watered down after it was brought home. Still, a solid spot if you want some tasty Vietnamese sandwiches!

Interior still the same as last year but with less tables and more spread out due to pandemic.

Overall great banh mi and other selections for being in Richmond so no need to drive to Chinatown (10-15 minutes away). Drinks are always delicious. My go to are always their kumquat with tea and boba. Boba are cooked well where it's still chewy and not stuck to your teeth. Ambience is always clean and simple for dining in or just chilling with family/friends. Every time I come here, I always see the owner. Not sure if she ever gets a day off! Prices are reasonable, considering the locations and not that many competitors in the area (as of right now). The only thing I dislike is the drinks don't have that typical plastic seal on top so when I do order a lot to-go, it can get quite messy with the big open on the top of each drinks.

For someone that's used to eating at Don's on bellaire, this place is not bad for the area! I love how they cut the ends of their banh mi so it's not hard and easier to eat. The meat is flavorful and bread is the perfect crisp. As for the bulgogi fries, I like how have some sauce on the side in the case you would like to dip. Fries are nice and thick. The only downside is that there was not that much meat, especially when you're paying $7+ for it. The staff was kind and attentive, I would come by again when I'm craving banh mi and not wanting to go to bellaire.

Still love this place. Just here to add the the fried egg rolls are superb and so is the Thai tea (go ahead and get the big one, you're welcome). Again, the best banh mi I've ever had. Super filling, always kore than enough protein. I always ask for extra carrots and aioli. Please stop by and support our Richmond small businesses!

Om Nom Cafe is a delight to the neighborhood since there really isn't a Bahn Mi place located around the Harvest Green/Aliana area of Richmond, TX. Yes, there are Vietnamese restaurants, but not a "Casual, here for a quick bite" kind of place. The space is clean and modern and the service is friendly. The location just opened so they told me both times I came here, that it will take 10 minutes or so to make my sandwich. I'm okay with that, as long as it's good. I'm sure as the place matures, that may change, or it may not. In either case the bahn mi was good. Was it the BEST I ever had? No. IMO that honor goes to Vietwich in Stafford. They USED to be close to this neighborhood but moved away. So for now, we have Om Nom and it's not bad. TRY IT. They also serve bubble teas and such which I have never tried, but they are affordably priced. I need to come back and try the soups which seem to be offered once in a while (off menu). By the way, if they ask if you want to add a fried egg-- just say yes.

Much better streamlined ordering. Go to order here is the Grilled Banh mi and Taro slushee (frozen drink) with Lychee jelly. The quantity is really decent. Could they do rewards on phone number instead of remembering to take the card each time, perhaps?

Grilled pork banh mi, (lack of) seasoned fries, limeade

Grilled pork banh mi was delicious and served on good, crusty bread, but it needs more meat. Seasoned fries were hardly seasoned but came out hot. Loved the limeade. Service was friendly. Will be back.

Came back to my go-to banh mi place around my work. About $7 per sandwich isn't too bad. I love adding extra pate and butter on my sandwiches. Pork banh mi is usually my order but they offer many diff things as well. They just recently started doing pho on fri/sat/sun for only $12!

I don't get the reviews…read more Elderly vietnamese lady didnt speak any English so it was hard to communicate with her (my viet is super limited too). Came in for some vietnamese sandwiches ($5.50). I even told her "Hai Thit Nuong. Hai Combo" which means 2 pork banh mis and 2 combos. I even pointed at the menu and said Hai and Hai with 2 fingers held up. I only got 1 of each. That turned out to be a good thing bc they were just okay. My boyfriend's pork banh mi was not the typical thit nuong. Looked more like a pan or stir fried meat like shaking beef. Not grilled. My combo was not the typical lunch meat. It had cubes of pork (I assume) and chicken. There were some fatty pieces. The flavor was acceptable at least - marinated asian style. Not what I was expecting though. I also like the butter/lard that's typical of a banh mi, but it didn't taste the same (maybe more mayo-like). Very mom and pop shop. I am skeptical of the cleanliness honestly. She also had to take my credit card next door to the haircut place to run it. I'll be checking my account for any extra charges to be safe. Nice lady, but i won't be returning.

Knocking out a star because I came here when they first opened so they were still getting their system down. I translated for their customers and helped them take orders which I don't mind. What was a bit frustrating was they only had 1 person and their register didn't work either, and it took 10m to try to pay. It's been months now so hopefully they are running smoothly!

When an establishment gets the "people love us" acknowledgement from Yelp... you have to listen…read more Mama Le received that in 2024 and I never got to visit...until now. I was taking a loved one to the hospital and was starrrrving. I didn't want to eat at the hospital cafeteria, so I got in my car and ventured to see what was around the area. Immediately, I looked over and saw Mama Le. When I entered, I was met with a warm smile and a staff member, Amara, who was able to help me pick the best thing on the menu (based on what I can eat). She was incredibly helpful. I also wanted a drink because the pictures on the outside of the building alll looked so delicious. I ended up ordering the lemongrass beef with rice and also the slushie with passion fruit. My goodness. My my my my my. Complete tens across the board. The beautifully seasoned and tender beef, the delicious onions and peppers and the incredible aromatic waft that hits your nose upon every bite. It was a truly remarkable dish. "Spicy lemongrass onion beef"!!!!!!! And I'm a sucker for passion fruit anything and this absolutely did not miss the mark. So good so good. Sweet, satisfying, and fresh. The most delicious blend of the fruit with the mint. "Passion attractions"!!!!! Yep... Yelp. You got it right. Mama Le is THAT girl.

This place is a must try…read more When the waitress brought the food to the table, the aroma was incredible! Each of the rice dishes the family ordered, smelled so good. Honestly, I never thought to try fried chicken from a Vietnamese place, especially with fish sauce on it. The waitress said it is pretty popular, so I gave it a try. The fried chicken didn't have your typical floured batter, instead it was a marinated chicken leg and thigh, that was fried to be extra crispy, with a layer of fish sauce glaze that was probably the aroma I smelt. It was something I have never tasted before, and it was so delicious. It was a little salty, but that is what the rice, cucumbers and tomatoes are for, to help cut the saltiness. My younger kids order the chicken pho and salmon. The chicken pho was good. I snuck a little sip of the soup and it was a nice clean chicken pho soup. As for the salmon, I took a small bite and that was delicious. Okay, my kid ordered it well done (a crime), but it came out crispy on all sides. I don't know what was the seasoning on it, but it had a lot of flavor. There were a decent amount of vegetarian choices. My wife ordered the shaken tofu. She liked it, but it would be better if there were other veggies instead of peppers and onions. The second time we went, she got the tofu with vegetables, which wasn't as good as the shaken tofu. The ginger garlic sauce was good, but it was mainly tofu and cabbage. It is a small place, next to Memorial Herman Sugar Land. With all the construction going on, it could be easily missed.

Pho Ben is one of my favorite pho restaurants in the Houston area. It's located in Sugar Land…read morerather than Little Saigon, inside a large strip center with plenty of parking, which makes it very convenient. The restaurant itself is spacious, with lots of tables, including high-top seating and benches along the walls. There are easily a few dozen tables, so it can accommodate a big crowd. Even though it gets busy--especially around lunchtime on weekends--I rarely see a long wait because of how large the dining area is. Pho Ben offers excellent value. A small bowl of pho is $11 and a large is $12, with at least 15-20 different combinations of meats to choose from, including rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatballs. One nice touch is that if you order rare steak, you can request it on the side, so it arrives on a separate plate and you can add it to your hot broth yourself and cook it exactly how you like. Each bowl also comes with the usual fresh garnishes like bean sprouts, mint, basil, and jalapeño. Service is always friendly and attentive, with multiple servers checking on tables. The pho usually comes out in about 10 minutes, piping hot, and the broth is consistently flavorful. This is one of my go-to pho spots in the Houston area, and I highly recommend it if you're in or around Sugar Land.
