The bulgogi beef banh mi Sammy with a fried egg and jalapeños was phenominal. The iced Vietnamese coffee was just as tasty. My wife had and shared her fried egg rolls and coconut fried shrimp. The bulgogi beef was very tender and full of flavor. The bread was slightly toasted and soft on the inside. The fried egg was not over cooked...just right. We'll be back for more of these goodies. read more

I showed up at 1:40pm on a Saturday and they were closed??? I saw another few people walk up and look confused when they noticed it was closed. Unprofessional to me. I'm not sure if they went to lunch or something but this needs to be reflected on the door at least. read more

I came in here on a Sunday afternoon. I walk up to the front counter. The cashier greeted me when I walked up & took my order. She was nice & the process was quick & simple. I order the chicken popcorn. Sat in a waiting area in the front. The order took about 10-15 mins as there were people already there before me. Now comes the tasting part of the chicken popcorn. It was not good. It was dry and did not seem fresh. I can taste the oil in the chicken, it seems to be old oil. Even using the chicken sauce they provided still gave me a bad after math taste that linger. I end up not finishing it and throwing it away. I was really disappointed because I really want to like the place and continue to come back. Chicken popcorn is a simple appetizer to make. It should not taste this way. Not sure if I want to come back and try other items. read more

Om Nom Cafe - Chicken popcorn 1/5 stars. The chicken taste old & dried. You can taste the after taste of old oil in it. I end up throwing it away. - Vietnamese Near Me - Richmond, Texas

the picture shows a grilled chicken banh mi & beef bulgogi banh mi w/ some garlic salt fries. the fries could definitely be fried a bit more but the sandwiches were both delicious!! the chicken was juicy and the bread was perfect - crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. the bulgogi was sweet and tender - not overly sweet though. service was quick and the shop has enough seating for about 10 small families of (2-4)!? giving four stars instead of 5 because of the cleanliness of the tables and seats - it is self clean after you eat so the tables were super sticky .. we had to clean it with hand sanitizer ourselves prior to sitting down. read more

Really enjoyed our food from here. We tried the fried egg rolls, the popcorn chicken and rice dish and beef bulgogi banh mi with extra aioli. All of the food was delicious-5/5 on all accounts! My son barely let me try a bite of the egg roll!! We also tried their lychee drink w rainbow jelly and Viet iced tea. The tea was too strong for me but it's my first time having it. The lychee drink was really refreshing and the right amount of sweetness. The popcorn chicken had a nice flavor profile of salt pepper and some briny taste! Super crispy and flavorful. The beef bulgogi sandwich was also great w tender meats and lots of fresh veggies, the bread was crunchy and fresh. All of our food was brought to our table within 10 min of us ordering at the counter. 10/10 would recommend for your banh-mi cravings! read more

Nice clean cute interior, employees were masked. I ordered fries (good spicy Mayo dipping sauce) , viet fish sauce wings (very yummy, on the sweet gooey side ) , coffee frappe (perfectly made-- creamy and yummy), and lychee kumquat tea with 25% sugar (still sweet but refreshing). They also have Vietnamese sandwiches and a limited appetizer menu (fried squid, popcorn chicken...etc). In harvest green area close to grand Pkwy. read more

First time trying Om Nom Cafe! I got the combo Banh mi and really enjoyed it. The bread was toasted perfectly and the pork was savory and flavorful! I also had an original milk tea with boba that was pretty good. Not the best, but it could be because it was watered down after it was brought home. Still, a solid spot if you want some tasty Vietnamese sandwiches! read more

Clean and casual vibe. Friendly customer service. -Pho broth was flavorful, would definitely recommend 8/10 -Tamarind wings: Flavor was amazing, very similar to twin peaks spicy Thai chili wings. The wings were not crispy and definitely could have been cooked longer 4/10 -bulgogi bang mi: meat was cooked well, good flavor, classic Banh mi. -espresso brown sugar oatmilk: I got it with less sugar than the regular which made it just the right level of sweetness. Definitely better than Starbucks, would get again! 9/10 read more

Overall great banh mi and other selections for being in Richmond so no need to drive to Chinatown (10-15 minutes away). Drinks are always delicious. My go to are always their kumquat with tea and boba. Boba are cooked well where it's still chewy and not stuck to your teeth. Ambience is always clean and simple for dining in or just chilling with family/friends. Every time I come here, I always see the owner. Not sure if she ever gets a day off! Prices are reasonable, considering the locations and not that many competitors in the area (as of right now). The only thing I dislike is the drinks don't have that typical plastic seal on top so when I do order a lot to-go, it can get quite messy with the big open on the top of each drinks. read more

For someone that's used to eating at Don's on bellaire, this place is not bad for the area! I love how they cut the ends of their banh mi so it's not hard and easier to eat. The meat is flavorful and bread is the perfect crisp. As for the bulgogi fries, I like how have some sauce on the side in the case you would like to dip. Fries are nice and thick. The only downside is that there was not that much meat, especially when you're paying $7+ for it. The staff was kind and attentive, I would come by again when I'm craving banh mi and not wanting to go to bellaire. read more

The sandwiches lack flavor and fillings. All i got was a thin piece of meat. Not really worth $7 if you can't get a decent amount of meat in your sandwich. Popcorn chicken also lacked flavor. Kims teahouse is way better. read more

Still love this place. Just here to add the the fried egg rolls are superb and so is the Thai tea (go ahead and get the big one, you're welcome). Again, the best banh mi I've ever had. Super filling, always kore than enough protein. I always ask for extra carrots and aioli. Please stop by and support our Richmond small businesses! read more

Om Nom Cafe is a delight to the neighborhood since there really isn't a Bahn Mi place located around the Harvest Green/Aliana area of Richmond, TX. Yes, there are Vietnamese restaurants, but not a "Casual, here for a quick bite" kind of place. The space is clean and modern and the service is friendly. The location just opened so they told me both times I came here, that it will take 10 minutes or so to make my sandwich. I'm okay with that, as long as it's good. I'm sure as the place matures, that may change, or it may not. In either case the bahn mi was good. Was it the BEST I ever had? No. IMO that honor goes to Vietwich in Stafford. They USED to be close to this neighborhood but moved away. So for now, we have Om Nom and it's not bad. TRY IT. They also serve bubble teas and such which I have never tried, but they are affordably priced. I need to come back and try the soups which seem to be offered once in a while (off menu). By the way, if they ask if you want to add a fried egg-- just say yes. read more

Not the worst but definitely not my first place. Ive had bulgogi bowl, wings (LP and tamarind) and bah mi sandwich The meats were pretty bland. The wings really were. They were not really crispy and some even tasted a little undercooked. Some of the LP wings had spice in one bite and not others. Ive tried twice, so probably wont be back. read more

These people take forever to make things. The majority of their audience is high schoolers from across the street. The taste and quality is decent but it's pretty pricey. Because of its proximity to the school; you'll see hordes of students taking up dine in seating sharing 1-2 items. It makes it hard for families to come in together in a group to dine in. It's decent enough to return and take out though but the wait time is not for those who have people waiting in the car. read more

The foods here are really good (8.5/10) the bhanmi sandwiches and rolls are very good the sauces are ok but they seem kinda sweet. The service here is ok, they don't really serve large meals here to match the price especially for meatless items aside from tofu ; they always say 15-20 minutes which is quite long for a sandwich or noodles but they're worth the wait. (6/10) The people are nice as well. The ambiance is also ok, colorful and upbeat but kinda empty and stark in most spots, some of the random nicknacks also grab your eye but they're fine too. I'd just say they should put a divider up for a workers table so they don't just look like they're sitting, it looks a little unprofessional.(6/10) read more

Food here was surprisingly good. We just moved to the area from Chinatown area so we are happy to find good Asian food close by. We tried the vermicelli bowl and rice plate and the meat was very flavorful and tender. The milk teas here were also really good. I would suggest adjusting the sweetness level so its not too sweet. fyi - if you frequent this place they have stamp cards available read more

Sunday evening 3/20 Parking: Shared with strip center Facility: Clean and quaint Experience: The ambiance is casual. There are chairs for lounging and then chairs to enjoy your meal at a table. Service is quick. I have been here multiple times and each time has been phenomenal. Their banh mi sandwiches are Delicious! I've had the pork, Bulgogi beef, and chicken sandwiches all with a fried egg. Each sandwich has impacted my life positively. My favorite item that I can't leave here without buying is their Thai Tea. They do a stupendous job of consistently creating a taste of happiness in a cup. I'm a huge fan of this restaurant's location, price point, and food! read more

Tal and her crew are absolutely amazing!!! I am so glad this place opened literally 6 minutes down the street from me!! Her bahn mi's are out of this world amazing! The garlic butter on the bun and the satisfying crunch of the bread as you bite in to the fluffy softness inside is exquisite! The meat is nicely marinated and cooked and the veggies are about as fresh as you can get!! This isnt an ordinary sandwich but something all on its own! The Chicken Teriyaki plate that my daughter ordered was busting with flavor and freshness! The chicken was nicely marinated without being too over powering and not dried out at all. The rice had a nice consistency and wasnt sticky by any means. The fresh veggie salad that came with it was amazing. You could tell that the lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers were fresh!! The Vietnamese Ice Coffee doesn't have that harsh taste that most do It is super smooth and strong which is bas for me as I didn't notice how fast I drank it and quickly wanted another!! My daughters and husband quickly agreed that this would be our go to from now on!! Not pictured because we ate them too fast were the spring rolls and egg rolls which were honestly amazing! Night light crunch with fresh veggies inside and the big plus was they weren't drenched in grease like most places! We will definitely be back again and again! read more

I've been here twice and also had someone pick up food for me from here. I love their Thai Tea it is very delicious and refreshing. Their matcha latte was kind of bitter, maybe let matcha next time. Each time I've been here I make sure to get their pork banh mi it's delicious.
