Oh my gosh, everything this couple does that own this business is in their customers' highest thoughts. The float center is the prettiest, cleanest, most well put together I have ever been to. From the salon, furniture, and fixtures to the towels and toilet paper they are the highest quality. No detail seems to have been overlooked in this business. The couple are thoughtful, kind, considerate, and extremely knowledgeable about flotation therapy. Last night I was late for my appointment. The couple was kind enough to let me float for the entire period, which caused them to have to stay late. I thought that was too nice. When I left, the lady had printed a copy of the towels they use for me. I had asked about them earlier. I couldn't have asked for more thoughtful, caring customer service. I thought I'd give this place a try since I had heard good things about the experience from a friend of mine (at another float place). I came with a friend who has back/neck problems and thought it would be good for him. It was an interesting experience-- I was expecting to drift off, but my mind raced the whole time. Still, I'm a firm believer that sensory deprivation is a good tool for relaxation. My friend felt better after his float and said it helped identify where his problem areas were. I've known about floating for years and never tried it. My brother found this place and took me for my 30th birthday. This place is simply AMAZING! We walked in and the owner introduced himself to us and walked us to our rooms. From there he gave us the orientation and talked about floating and some meditation techniques. Next the music comes on and you can begin your shower. They have great soap and shampoo btw. When you are done showering you may proceed into the tank and start your journey. I got out feeling great! About 4 days after and I'm still feeling the effects! I would recommend this to anyone. I had an amazing experience at Om Float. I had a great introductory call with Brooks (one of the co-owners). First, the logistics: The facility itself is an amazing spa-like atmosphere and delightfully and immaculately clean. The provided shampoo and body soap smells amazing. They don't provide conditioner so if you have crazy hair like mine, bring your own (for use after the float). You get a full 90 minutes of floating; your reservation is for 120 minutes so you have time before/after the float to shower (you will need to do so both before/after) They also provide hair dryers and hair dryers with diffusers (which is another great touch) and ear plugs (I swim and don't use ear plugs but definitely they are important for a long float) and q-tips. As for the experience, it was everything I'd hope it would be. It was something I'd been wanting to do for a while and now I wish I hadn't waited for so long to book an appointment. I felt amazing during and after - immediately after and I noticed that all week following I was much better at dealing with stressful situations. I'll definitely be back. read more

We drove from Woodbridge Va. and had an amazing experience. Met Brooks and Amy, the owners, and got a complete demonstration. The actual tanks are supper roomy. The blue accent lights are very relaxing. I couldn't find a single thing out of place; everything was immaculately clean. Floating is very effective as a relaxation tool. And fun! This place is stylish and clean and the owners are very kind.

My husband and I decided to finally try floating. I meditate often so I had no issues going into the "zone". He on the other hand doesn't meditate as often as I do so it took him about 15-20min to quiet his mind. I had moderate to severe neck/back pain from sitting at work for hours on the same day I floated. I will honestly say that after my float session, not only was I in such a calm relaxed state of bliss, my pain was completely gone. This is so much better than getting a massage AND it's way cheaper too! The owner was so kind and friendly. He really made my husband and I feel comfortable. Outstanding customer service! There's a reason (several reasons!) I'm the 40th review and we're all 5 stars! I first met these visionary owners, Brooks and Amy, when they operated a single tank out of their townhouse. Even then, they kept it immaculate, provided wonderful shower facilities, supplied fresh-smelling towels and soap, were friendly and helpful, and eager to answer any questions, make you comfortable, discuss what was sought (pain management, spinal alignment, mental peace, healing). That was MANY years ago, perhaps 6? I'd bought a package and they STILL honored it after all these years without charging me hidden fees - integrity! This visit, I was/am a different person with changed life situations and physical/mental challenges. The float was still just as beneficial. Usually I can't turn my brain off to sleep. This one I stayed in peacefully for the whole 90-min session, even stretching right before the gentle "wake-up" chime as if my body knew (Amy confirmed there's a natural cycle). Now on to their facility: WOW!!!!!!!!! WONDERFUL IN EVERY WAY!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for Brooks and Amy. They've thought of every aspect, and their business is thriving as they help people from every walk of life. Convenient location, attractive and chill layout/colors/blue lighting, a relaxation room with pillows available for optional post-session (clients must clear out quickly after appointments for the tank's filtration process and the clean-up - totally makes sense - so this option helps the transition), open room with 3 hair dryers/spray hair conditioner/lotion/ear swabs, quick and helpful tour of the tank room area (5 private rooms with built-in showers, a 6th to come, each having wonderfully fresh towels, shampoo & soap in hygienic easy dispensers, wax to go over ears if desired, ear swabs, petroleum jelly to cover any cuts). The tour is quick and helpful. A fantastic added touch is their fur baby, Turner. He is a retired greyhound and (typical) was lying play-dead carpet-style at the welcome desk, demonstrating best way to truly retire and relax (do we not need this in the DMV? I'm military and my colleagues often "retire" and run themselves ragged in new ways!). Turner did get up and interact in very sweet ways, pettable, no sound/barking. He even wandered into the open hair-drying room as I fixed my hair and hung out with me. ADORABLE. True to the modality, the water and fresh-air-circulation temperatures are carefully regulated to skin temperature. You're in the dark and suspended, but sometimes it feels like floating, other times just "standing" in space, still other times a good rest. Not claustrophobic; not a hint of mildew/germ odor at all, which is remarkable for water-based therapy. It is truly a place of affordable, safe, clean, authentic-practice healing. I had been hearing about the isolation tank float from people who had suggested that it really is a great stress reducer and mind clearer. So, this weekend, I googled this location. The studio is set up to be very much a spa experience with lots of calming colors and low lighting with the intent of making this a comfortable and calming experience. When you set up an appointment, it is for 2 hours, with 90 minutes of it actually spent floating. The remaining 30 is showering before and after the float session. Everything is spic and span and incredibly clean. The owners are very easy going and accommodating and want you to very much enjoy the experience. The experience does take some getting used to as you are floating in salt water with no light or sound other than the sound of your breath and heartbeat. I can imagine claustrophobes not being able to do this, but after I settled down and let my mind clear, the rest of the session just flew by. When I got out, I did feel less stressed and with a nice endorphin bump like after exercise. It was a great experience, and if you have an interest in this kind of therapy, Om Float is a very good choice. I am sure I will be back again. read more

This is a great concept - if you are new to floating GO FLOAT!!! Extremely relaxing, great stress reducer, very well thought out. Offers each person a private room with shower and float tank. You will have a nice soft comfy robe, plush towel and pair of rubber sandals. The ambiance is peaceful --perfect lighting and color selections. Very calming lobby with beautiful arrangement of comfy seats/pillows/artwork and a color palette that relaxes you from the moment you step in. The owners are extremely knowledgable and helpful so you will get maximum benefit from the Epsom salt soak. Ohhh the 90 minutes is a wonderful amount of time to decompress and enjoy every moment in the tank. You never feel rushed this was my second time and already look forward to my next float. I was apprehensive about trying a float tank but the five star reviews drew me in despite my worries. Would it be clean? Would I freak out about being in a dark, closed space?
