I just move in and so far this place is awesome! I've had a couple of maintenance problems and maintenance man Jo was so quick and so nice! He's been in the business for 30 years and is probably the best handy man I've ever met! The complex gives off young professionals vibes which is exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful apartment, nice amenities, and great location, maintenance is quick and staff is nice, but it should be cheaper to live here. When you spend this much money on an apartment, it should be built better.. you shouldn't hear everything your neighbors above you, below you, and next to you are doing. My neighbor above me - I know exactly where they are at in their apartments at all times. You can hear your neighbor's garbage disposal, laundry machines, every toilet flush, every footstep (the apartments don't have proper underlay meant to lessen any impact noise), every cough from the smokers around you, you can hear the neighbors get freaky, and you can hear conversations clear as day if you stand in your bathroom. If you have any noise sensitivity or are a light sleeper, seriously go elsewhere. I haven't had a solid, quiet night of sleep in months since moving in. Dogs are constantly barking down the hallways and that echoes ridiculously. They also don't enforce the smoking policy, so my bathroom smells like smoke every morning and throughout the day (must come in through the combined vents) so it's too bad for anyone with allergies. Also, every single door in this place slams shut so you constantly hear your neighbors all around you slamming doors, patio doors, and exterior entrance doors. It would be nice to feel at home when I'm at home and sleep/be awake the hours I would like, not to my neighbor's schedule. I can't wait for the lease to be up so I can get out of here. The company that manages this building doesn't care about your safety or wellbeing. There are constantly homeless people in the building at night doing drugs in the bathroom and on the rooftop patio and in the stairwells. This morning I was greeted with a big pile of human s** in the stairwell and almost vomited. These matters have been brought to management's attention numerous times over the last 4 months and they can't seem to fix simple things like a door lock. I would strongly recommend not moving here unless you like paying over 2k a month to live amongst the homeless population in downtown chandler. Common areas (hallways, stairwells) are dirty. My apartment had trash on the floor and dirt in the sink when I moved in. Parking lot gate has been broken since I moved in a week ago. Recently got stuck in the elevator for an hour while maintenance tried and failed to get me out. Close to train tracks so it can get a little noisy if that's a concern for you. Overall: really wanted to love it here, but for the price I think you can do much better. read more

If you are in your 20's, have a dog, and are looking for a party/social atmosphere this might be the best apartment building in the world for you. If you are anything else, I would stay away. Dogs: It seems like virtually every resident has 1 or 2 dogs. Lots of residents don't put their dogs on leashes and they just run through the hallways or outside. I've reported this to the front desk multiple times and they just send an email out and never do anything about it. There are so many dogs that at the end of every week I will have a pile of dog hair on the floor mat in my car just from walking in and out of my apartment. It's tiring not having a dog and still tracking dog hair into your apartment when you're allergic. Loudness: This apartment is LOUD. The main door buzzer is excessively loud and would wake me up constantly. I ended up requesting a transfer to another unit because I could not sleep in my apartment. It really feels like there just isn't a quiet area in this building. The next apartment I got was right outside the garbage dumpster, so every few days a week I am woken up to the sounds of the garbage truck. I can constantly hear doors slams, loud music through walls, dogs barking, and more. The Mailroom: The mailroom uses a system called Luxor One. Every time you get a package you receive a text message code that when entered at the mailroom door allows you to enter. The mailroom is then organized with shelves where you can find your package. The issue is delivery drivers don't always put the packages on the correct shelves. This gets fun since if your package isn't on your specific shelf then it's a crapshoot since your package could be anywhere. This happens more often than not and you go searching every shelf. There have been times where it has taken me almost an hour to find my package. Parking: The parking here is awful. You really need to get home early (5pm or 6pm) to get a parking spot. I asked the front desk about having assigned parking, but they said they can't do that since there aren't enough parking spaces for all the residents. What?! You don't have enough parking spaces? I pushed back that that is ridiculous and to have at least 1 spot per apartment. They agreed that was a good idea and recommended I speak with their account manager to discuss my issues. I agreed, but then never heard back on it and left it alone like all my other issues here. Since the parking is so bad, residents park in the handicap and electric vehicle spots. I've seen cars that were tagged with a sticker stay there for over a week. I started reporting residents who did this, but they would just call the resident to move and then the next day they were back parking in the spot again. I even got an email saying someone had parked in a fire lane for 2 days and they wanted them to move. A fire lane for two days?! The Good: To be fair, there is some good. The maintenance guys here are the best. They are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. One time I was carrying groceries home and Jay stopped on his golf cart and held the building door open for me to walk in. This place does have a lot of amenities and it can be really nice if you use them a lot. Also they have these great storage units here for only $25 or so that if you need some extra space for storage like we did they are a great deal. They also offer lots of lease options which is very nice since my wife and I were buying a new construction home and it allowed us to extend our lease by a few months at a time because of construction. Front Desk: The front desk staff is ok. I've had some great moments and some not so great moments with them. I find I get more of a response if I go down in person rather than an email. I feel like if you want something done you have to go to Gentry or Jenni. Conclusion: This is the most expensive apartment building I've ever lived in and the craziest apartment building I've ever lived in. To get the most bang for your buck here you really need to be willing and wanting to go hang out with other residents. My advice to management is to stop spending lots of money on these social events (wine nights, movie nights, guess how many jelly beans in the jar, bagels in the morning, etc) and focus on the fundamentals. Also, if you are intending to live here I would highly recommend investing in a pull cart or wagon of some sort. The apartment complex is very large and you often find yourself walking 100 meters from your car to your apartment and carrying groceries or packages by hand can get tiresome. Knowing what I know now, I would have picked somewhere else. read more

If you're looking for a place to live do not move here. There is not enough parking here. If you get home after 6pm good luck finding a spot. It is dirty here the floor is constantly wet or has disgusting spots of who knows what, the hallways STINK, there's always trash in the hallways and dog poop everywhere. You pay $25 a month for valet trash and they tell you it will be picked up after 8pm however if my trash is not outside my door by 7pm then it will still be there in the morning. At least once a week the trash in my hallway/floor is forgotten, either Thursday or Sunday. Why am I paying for a service that isn't being done. There is a lot of nice people here but there is also a lot of inconsiderate LOUD people who live here. You can hear every single one of your upstairs neighbors footsteps and if you use the bathroom at the same time as your neighbor next door you can hear them too! There is many homeless people around the complex and somehow they get in here and will hang out in here at night. I understand apartment living and you will hear things you don't want to hear but this takes to a new level of loud. I have lived in other apartment complexes before but this is just over the top. I overlooked all of that because like I said this is apartment living and you will have all kinds of people around you with all different kinds of schedules. I am mostly upset about the way the leasing office handles issues that come up. And don't even bother contacting corporate because they are even worse than the leasing office. They truly do not care about you as long as your rent is being paid. The only good things about this place is maintenance and Elijah in the leasing office. UPDATE: I still would NOT recommend living here!! My lease is up in October thank goodness. I still have water damage but at this point is not worth my time to worry about it. I did find out that they make you sign a lease adding 6 days extra into the end of your lease so you have to pay them these 6 days of rent. I have never heard of this before but this place is trash, people leave their trash on the weekends, nobody picks up after their dogs, elevators break down at least once a week, you can never find parking pass 9:00-10:00 pm and they don't enforce the parking sticker rule. For how much the residents pay here we don't get our moneys worth. I loved this place when it was owned by Alta Steelyard. Oh and I got just $150 Gift card for my 8+ months of trouble I had to contact corporate just to get my issue "resolved" even if I got water leaking through my unit again. Can't wait to be done with this place and never to deal with them again I would not recommend living here. The buildings were not built properly, it looks nice, but stuff breaks all the time. I've had five water leakages for the last 8 months, 2 out of the 5 leakages were "fixed" and yet we had 3 more after that. I finally got tired of the front office and maintenance saying they would come and fix my expensive "luxurious " apartment and I finally had to contact corporate. Contacting corporate was a whole process itself they took 3 weeks to finally get back to me after putting 4 complaints. After 8 almost 9 months of dealing with this problem I shall see if it will get resolved. Moved in here in September of 2020. When we first moved in the complex was great. Always very clean, and no issues whatsoever. Unfortunately over time, the apartment grounds became dirtier and dirtier. Trash was always left lying around, mounds of trash were left outside the trash compactor, creating a bad stench. Exterior doors were always broken and thus left wide open. Found myself always having to shut them, not sure where the "security guard" was. Parking was also always a problem, if you weren't there by 5 pm, good luck on trying to find a spot to park. In order to have a guaranteed spot for you, you have to rent a garage as well, for an additional $125 a month. The staff on the property was always pushing for residents to go on here and rate them 5 stars, they would even give out gift cards to incentivize us to do so. After reading the other reviews on here I can see why they were so pushy on us giving them 5-star reviews. I wish I had read these before deciding to move here. Fortunately, I have to admit their maintenance staff was very prompt in making any repairs in the units. Those guys did a good job in that aspect. Unfortunately, though the main reason as to why I am rating them on here is what happened to us after we moved out. We were lucky enough to be able to purchase a home, and thus had to terminate our lease early. The penalty for that was an additional month's rent. We finished off our remaining days there, paid our final amounts due, turned in our keys, and were happy to finally move out of there. After approximately three weeks since we had moved into our new home, I received a voicemail stating that "I owed a small amount of 900-sum dollars". After going back to the leasing office and inquiring as to why I owed them this "small amount", they told me that it was a mistake on their part and that I needed to pay it to them as soon as possible. They said that they had forgotten to charge it to me when we were still there. I asked, how is that my fault that you forgot to charge me, and now three weeks later you just now saw it. They did not apologize for the inconvenience or even attempt to make it right with me at all. They just demanded that I pay them this amount. Beware of this apartment complex, they are money-hungry shysters. Not worth the large amount that they charge in rent. Like I was saying before, I would be willing to bet that the people who left the 5-star reviews on here did it for the amazon gift cards. read more

I lived here for three years and in two different units. A few things you should know before moving here. 1.) These are not Luxury Apartments by any stretch, while the interior and the pictures may look nice its solely 'glamor'. Fixtures, Appliances, Flooring, Paint, etc are all of very cheap quality. Even non-Luxury apartment provide parking spaces and actively enforce parking. Walking to/from my unit a good third of the vehicles didn't have parking permits, never once saw any tow notices or enforcement over 3 years. 2.) Expect things to break all the time - especially the pool/hotubs, gates, doors etc. Every week there seemed to be an issue of some kind. 3.) Cleanliness in common areas. When I first moved in I was told hallways and stairwells are cleaned weekly. Which is very untrue or their policy changed. Maybe once a month for hallways and I saw stairwells cleaned twice in my three years there. Get used to smelling Dog Shit and Dog Piss every day. Be prepared to look at trash too. Their dumpster area was always jam packed with several large furniture pieces being dumped there and wouldn't be removed for months. 4.) For being a gated property with key fob entrances everywhere, Olympus does a terrible job keeping these secure. A building door was broken and wouldn't close properly for over a year, and the exterior doors are also awful. I often saw homeless breaking in to sleep inside the complex every night. 6.) Management is pretty terrible. Upon moving out I tried getting in contact with their GM for about a month. Left several messages and called the office 2-3 times a week only for Jenni to be 'unavailable' or at a different property without ever having my call returned. While legal in AZ, they have an auto renewal agreement in their lease which will auto renew at their month-to-month rate oftentimes $1,000+ a month then the previous lease if a 60 day notice isn't given. All at the very upper boundaries AZ law allows. They will offer to waive this if you switch or transfer apartments. It's a complete money grab. I was told they've only ever waived this once on moveout when a tenant's husband died. Save yourself the hassle and don't live here. read more

It has been 3 days since my unfortunate run in with the tenants that don't think the rules in their lease they signed do not apply to them and they felt they could have their small aggressive dog unleashed in a common area such as the Clubhouse, which has a pathway many people often use to either, check their mail, go to the gym, get coffee or tea and or to get to their building or to the pool or even to exit the property. I filed an incident report because the situation could have gotten so much worse had anyone in the "cool kid hipster club" would've decided to intervene and put their hands on my Belgian Malinois. First off I'd have a problem with any stranger putting their hands on my dog in that situation unless I asked for them to help me and second you have no idea what a dog in attack mode might do to you. It was more than obvious I had a large bandage on my right hand from the surgery I had just had less than 7 days ago at the time and not only did I have 2 dogs I had full control over that were on leashes I also was carry a grocery bag with my left hand as everyone in that group just stood like a bunch of disrespectful jerks and stared with grins on their faces. Who are you guys?! Who acts like that or treats people with such disrespect? You all seriously look too old to be running around trying to over run this apartment complex and trying to intimidate other tenants so they can't enjoy the amenities and it happy hour that is included in everyone's rent. It also blows my mind how they treat the property. I'm pretty sure they have a lot to do with it, management just needs to review the video tapes more often and probably install one by the ping pong table and spa area. Why would you trash the property you live at? Why would you vomit by the fire pit when there's a bathroom right next to you? Someone actually defecated on the walk area by the pool one night.... wow guys really?! How does that make you funny or cool, idiot?! Enough ranting about the "cool kids hipster club" that is trying to take over Steelyard that have zero respect for people, the property and other things. It's just I can't believe at 43 years of age I'm being bullied by a group of people in their late 20's to mid-late 30's, you'd think the two people that have kids wouldn't want to encourage that type of behavior.... but at lest I am a grown adult that can try to stick up for myself and possibly the others that are to afraid to speak up. Ok I'm in a catch 22. I absolutely adore the manager Jenny that works here as well as our district manager. They are down to earth people who care about their tenants. All they want is for you to be comfortable and happy where you're living. When the incident in the Clubhouse took place I ended up injuring the hand I just had carpal tunnel surgery on. I also have 2 rare spinal diseases I battle everyday, from the time I open my eyes until I close them to try and sleep at night, I am tremendous amounts of insane never pain that makes my legs not want to work then they go out on me and my tailbone feels like it's being shattered repeatedly over and over. So to say the least the past 3 days have more difficult than normal do to the fact I now have to try and avoid this group of people at the place I pay to live at when I walk my dogs. The stairs are just to difficulties to walk up so since they're always hanging out at the pool the fire pits or Clubhouse it's almost impossible for me not to run into at least 2 of the dudes that live in my same building, thank the universe it's not the same floor or a neighbor. Anyway I feel management got a chance to see the behavior these individuals display. Thank you Olympus Steelyard Team for sending me the beautiful Get Well flowers! That was very kind and I am very grateful. So I can't give 5 stars because of the troublesome tenants that are trying to intimidate other tenants so I'll up it to 3. If that group of people got out of here or decided to stop being such douche bags then I'd give this property a 4. I'm sure when the new staff gets in it will get back on track and there won't be special treatment for the "hipster" crew and the people who keep destroying things and littering their trash all over the place expecting someone to clean up after them. The apartments look very nice on the inside but they are not built well. You can hear EVERYTHING from your neighbors as well as the hallways at all hours from people talking, to dogs barking to workers cleaning the floors at 7am. The place feels like living in a dorm room. They do allow dogs who are on the restricted breed live in the complex. Even if the dog is a service dog, its common sense to NOT place a large dog (German Shepard) in an apartment above someone else. There is also some kind of power plant that operates starting as early at 430am, located on the corner of Frye and Delaware. I've lived in multiple apartments and I get that noise happens, but this place has excessive noise everywhere. The maintenance staff and office staff are very nice, hence the two stars. read more

There's no parking after 6pm and people that don't have parking permits park inside the complex. The firefighters are there atleast 2 times a month either for smoke in the hallways or someone's stuck in the elevator. Summit at San Marcos gives you a better run for your time and money (I lived there before here) The sister property has newer, better amenities and common areas, and the staff was always friendly and accommodating, even after I moved out. It's LOUD here. Very loud by the pool and common area. Partying, music all hours of the night. If you want a good night sleep don't live anywhere near the pool. I would think it even carries to the back of the building. There is definitely a group of people living there that think the outside area is there own personally party zone. The staff does not care one bit either. Nothing ever gets solved by them and their communication skills are lacking. I did not feel comfortable living here and I know most of my neighbors agree. Elevator always broken, parking is terrible if you get home after 8 or 9pm. The property manager Jenny doesn't care about any issues or concerns you might have then they have the nerve to charge you $70 per month for a garage if there's 3 adults with 3 cars they all get to park in a parking space but if there's one adult with one car you have to park on the street and assigned parking is not in there budget I've lived here for two years and I will not sign for a third I'm looking for a new place who appreciates my money and concerns. read more

Let's see, idk where to even start with this place. For one, ever since new management came I've been dying to get out of my lease. Cause I can promise you i'm not renewing anything. It's a rip off. For the amount I pay i'm really disgusted, I've been living here for only 5 months. In the first 3 months i've had to put in a total of 4 service request, my lock on my door wasn't working (when i'd come into my home and close the door and try to lock the top lock it wouldn't lock), my shower was not pulling out ANY water, for 4 days straight and took them a week to come up and fix it. The first time I tried using my dishwasher....broken. Had them come fix the dishwasher right? Literally the next day all of the sudden my garbage disposal is broken??? What's next? New management comes in and decides to charge everyone "common electricity" "rent tax" "common area gas" "sewer charge" when I first signed my lease NONE OF THOSE THINGS WERE THERE and to be completely honest i miss the old management cause ever since new management came the amount i pay to live in this environment is ridiculous. People let their dogs poop on the side walk within the complex, in the stairwell as well. Gym equipment is always broken. I don't think they thought it through with the "valet trash" because hallways smell like crap. Till this day, it's been 2 weeks and they still haven't cleaned the graffiti off the wall on the building. Seriously you guys, take your money somewhere else. Paying over a grand to live in these conditions is ridiculous. Something else to add, i signed my lease in september of 2018, paid an extra $100 to have a stupid garage right? Aha it took them 2 months to give me my garage opener, for 2 months they thought they could charge me that $100 for a garage that i didn't even have access to yet. This apartment is UNORGANIZED AND HORRIBLE. I don't care what the manager has to say in her reply. Just today I needed to move two heavy boxes from the mail room to my apartment a couple buildings away- And Daniel, a new staff-member here, saw me struggling and immediately dropped what he was doing, got me a dolly and took them to my apartment. So appreciated! Seriously- the staff here go above and beyond. :) Original review: I just moved in less than a week ago and I have to say I've been very happy so far. Jasmined at the front office helped me so much with the move-in process and the entire front office staff has been nothing but friendly, helpful and accommodating. My transition was smooth - almost perfect except for some service requests that needed to be made right off the bat - but perfection shouldn't be the standard. What matters to me was that they were all handled well, incredibly quickly (within a couple days because of a holiday- and when one issue came up that needed to be addressed ASAP they came within the hour) and all of it done with a smile. (PS- Thank you to Art in the maintenance department!) I LOVE my new apartment: gorgeous fixtures, open plan living space and a serene environment for me to come home to at the end of the day. There is a bit of a social vibe here but it hasn't been party- crazy all the time (I often find somnice, quiet moments at the pool and my morning walks with the dog are quiet and peaceful) and the residents so far are respectful, fun and nice to get to know. This is an amazing place to live. The proximity to downtown Chandler couldn't be any better. The management and staff are always very polite and are very swift to address any concerns. The maintenance is by far the best in any apartment community I've ever lived in. Their response time is, if not the same day, the very next. We just signed our 2nd lease and couldn't be happier. This apartment complex has been so very helpful! Becky helped us or so much! My dad is finally moving to arizona! We still have some paperwork to take care of, but everyone has been so helpful!! I toured this apartment complex for the first time and signed my lease within the same day! Beautiful facility and incredible staff- particularly Elijah Salazar. He stayed past closing to help me get my lease signed, even with the website being down. I've never experienced someone with a heart to serve and help like Elijah! It was helpful to get a firsthand experience from him about how he likes living at the complex and fun to see the tight knit community they have here. Just moved in and so far it's been amazing! Management has been very friendly and helpful. All the neighbors have been so sweet and welcoming. Very much a community. They even have mixer events and work out classes! The apartment is beautiful with huge walk in closets and picturesque kitchens. Walking distance from the heart of down town. Our apartment was gorgeous and the maintenance guys are so kind, helpful, and seemed to ALWAYS be there quick when they received word that we needed help. Those are my only positive thoughts about this place. The new staff in management is terrible. Every time I called the front office I knew I was going straight to voicemail and was surprised when an actual person picked up the phone on my first attempt to call. They're terrible with communication with each other and with residents. If you choose to live here do NOT do ANYTHING in person or over the phone. Get and do EVERYTHING in writing or they'll use it against you if something goes wrong (happened to us). The elevators were constantly not working. Parking is terrible if you don't get home before maybe 6pm. They had no problem sending all residents email after email reminding us to do/not to do certain things but never enforced it, which was frustrating when it came to things such as picking up after pets and keeping noise down during certain hours. We're glad to be out of our apartment and will be steering clear of Olympus properties in the fut read more

At first when I moved in I was skeptical because of the reviews. Even after everything I decided to move here because of the location. I'm so glad I did! I will admit at first, I didn't love the staff, but now they have an amazing team that seem to work well together. Elijah!! I don't even know where to begin with him, he's just an amazing person with an amazing soul! I recently had a baby, with everything going on, he has helped me sooo soo soo much! It really is the little things, with so many residences, he knows me by name and is just... AMAZING! Everyone else is great too, but he is truly the best!! I hate writing reviews, but I really wanted to pay it forward for all that elijah has done for me! Now I'm on my second year of living here and I'm happy! It's affordable for your buck! All of my service calls have been answered fairly quickly and all so nice as well! And the kitchen island is huge!! That was a big thing for me! The only reason why I put 4 stars is because of the overall. I know I can't help the neighbors, but sometimes they can be very inconsiderate with their dogs and leave poop out, but the staff do try to make sure the community is clean.
