He always seems friendly and appears to like his job. In the evenings, a young man works the counter (I'm assuming the son or grandson of the man from the morning). He is either surly or indifferent about anyone shopping at the store. I make it my personal mission to ask him lots of pointless questions about nothing in particular and to be as cheerful as possible. I'm sure he thinks I'm crazy, but the look on his face when I walk in the store is like getting two bucks off the six pack of beer that I'm just about to buy. Last time I was there he had a friend with him behind the counter and they were both playing game-boys like a couple of 12 year old boys. I asked him what they were playing and he mumbled something about different games... Not sure what that means, so I asked him how much they charged for a $1 lottery ticket then bought a candy bar and walked out. The copy showed no wear nor markings. In a different section, seasonal offerings - Valentine's Day on this visit, were varied and taste bud-piquing. To make both of my purchases timely in nature, I opted for a package of red velvet Reese's peanut butter cups.
