Ham and cheese croissant with bonus slice of tasty banana bread.
Doug J.

Made my second visit to the Olympic Bakery and Deli. What a nice spot to visit for welcoming words and great selection of baked goods and coffee/latte. I had a breakfast ham and cheese croissant and a caramel latte. The croissant had a generous serving of ham and cheese inside and was warmed up when I ordered. Served with it was a large slice of banana bread which was a nice surprise. The latte was surprisingly delicious for a place that does not necessarily advertise itself as a coffee stop. The baked goods are unique selection of cookies, breads, and European treats like Rugelach. I picked up an apricot one to go. It was delicious with a large bit of filling and tasty pastry. This makes a nice place to stop whenever you are back and forth between Belfair and Shelton.

Club sandwich, came with chips, pickle, blueberry bread slice and a slice of orange. I also got a root beer and a loaf of rosemary bread.

I've been here a few times to buy the fresh bread and loafs, and I've always been so pleased with them. I sliced the soft and freshly baked loaf and we ate it with soup. It was DELICIOUS. It's getting chilly where I live and there's nothing like bread and soup! We've also gotten fresh sweet breads and are never disappointed. While there, I had a club sandwich and it was perfect. A thick stack of meat, crispy bacon, fresh bread... what more can you ask for? There's parking outside and the a little area with jewelry and things they sell. Very cozy and homey. It's a bit hidden, but it's definitely worth the drive!!

Wine tasting.

Then I saw their TikTok last night, and let me tell you, that video had me craving it instantly. The scrumptiousness was living rent free in my brain all night, so today my son and I had to stop in and see what the hype was about. We ordered the Sour Diesel, the Fire, and the Afgoo, all on their toasted jalapeño cheese bread. First of all, the female employee who helped us was so friendly and welcoming. We do not eat out much, so we were genuinely excited and maybe a little impatient to try them. When they handed us the sandwiches, I immediately noticed how heavy they were. And the smell in the car on the way home, oh my goodness. Pure torture waiting to unwrap them. Then we got home and opened them up, and I was honestly shocked in the best way. There was actually a MEAL on that bread. Not one of those sad sandwiches that's 80 percent lettuce and air. These were loaded. My teenage son even commented on how good his was, and trust me, teen approval is not handed out lightly. The portions were generous, the flavors were bold, and each sandwich was totally unique and delicious. I can confidently say I have found a new favorite sub spot. Total hidden gem if you love a good sandwich that actually fills you up and tastes incredible. I did not grab a shake this time because it was freezing outside, but after seeing all the flavor options on the menu, I will absolutely be trying one next visit. Highly recommend in every aspect. I love when you try somewhere new and it completely exceeds expectations. This one is a must try.

Their bagels are fabulous as is their lox. For those, like me, who can unhinge their jaw for an authentic pastrami or corned beef masterpiece. Go with the "Ding sized" sandwich. They'll make a smaller Seattle sized version as well for those who don't treat deli as an indulgence of rye and meat piled high. I wish they'd add kreplach to the menu (sorry Vance. I know my litany is old!) but I keep discovering new deliciousness here even after being a regular for nearly 4 years since my recovery from a life threatening illness, that I recovered from in part due to making regular stops here during my post surgical recovery. Just today I had the blintzes for the first time with their in house made cherry compote and sour cream. Amazing. Keep up the amazing work!!! My recommendation for newbies. Get the pastrami on marbled rye with gribenes and mustard. If you're feeling extra indulgent ask for a schmear of chopped liver, if you're keen on said. You won't regret it!

And pretty much no chicken in it. The "famous hash and eggs" equally underwhelmed. The "hash" mixture seemed to be from yesterday or older, mostly potato, with little corned beef. There was nothing "famous" about it. I tried the fresher corned beef sandwich my friend got and felt the fresh corned beef was quite good - hence the upgrade from 2 to 3 stars here. It's counter service, they bring the food (no numbers for tables makes this a bit of a trial and error) . Coffee is self serve and there is a sign saying refills are $2.75.... how un-American.
