We ordered the following with ratings and overall feel: Earl's Mess 8/10: The gravy on this was BOMB! The only downside of this dish was that there were bell pepper seeds everywhere in the food so I got alot of crunchies. I also would have loved like a slice of toast or a biscuit to really push this dish over the edge. Benedict Bowl 6/10: Portion is a little small and the hollandaise sauce was alright. 34916 7/10: The biscuit and fruit jam was the best part! Everything else was overall good but not knock your shoes off. Deserts chocolate chip whoopie pies, snickerdoodle coffee cake bites and a chocolate cupcake 10/10: This is the bread and butter of it all. Their deserts are amazing! The service was good. We were greeted right away and all our questions were answered quickly. We will definitely be back to try more items.

There were not many yummy's to choose from...the tables were gone and 1/2 the restaurant has candy and crude food in it. We just discovered Gilhams a while ago and have stopped every time we go by. Wish you luck on your new endeavor but we will pass as cozy is our priority.

It can get pretty packed though since it's the only dine-in cafe in town. There is quite a lot of cute merch in the back & stickers at the front counter. Service: Service was okay. Our orders did come out quick, but if it's packed it'll take a lil while. Food: I came 3 different days and ordered 3 lattes each day (Carmel, marshmallow, and hazelnut). I believe their hot lattes taste a lot better than ordering an iced one. I've had better lattes but this is the closest cafe in the area. Espresso was decent. As for their pastries, their salted double chocolate chip cookies are DELICIOUS! Highly recommend! That cookie was the reason we kept coming back.

I know they do not have regular open hours for just walk in purchase, but rather, they're custom order type business, but I have yet to place any custom orders so I cannot speak to that experience. What made me write this review is how accurate the owner (Brianne) described cake and desserts in the description and the baked goods taste matched 200% of the description. The pistachio cake was out of the world, so was the whoopie pie!!! I got to meet Brianne in person and she was very friendly, and was kind to explain everything about each of her baked goods she had out that day. I've tried their baked goods from pop tarts to cookies to housemade Twinkie and the creation and taste are unmatched. Single serve baked goods were more on pricier side, but well worth every bite. I would definitely order custom baked goods from here, knowing the quality and taste of products from this shop!!! Currently, you can find Spilled Butter baked goods at Cosmonaut coffee, Outer Dark Coffee, and at Tacoma Farmers Market (also known as Tacoma Broadway Farmers Market) from time to time. Enjoy!!!

The waitress that sat us was a local girl from HI with a beautiful smile and so we already knew we were in good hands. The menu had both breakfast and lunch options, enough items to satisfy every family member's taste. And the portions are huge. Sister 2 ordered three tacos that she said was just ok. She also ordered the blueberry cheesecake pancake that was pretty good. Sister 2 ordered chicken and waffles. That was a high piece of chicken. This was pretty good. I ordered the American omelette that I thought was pretty good. Unfortunately, no rice. Potatoes were well seasoned. I normally don't finish my wheat toast it the jam was really good and so I was able to eat enjoy both slices of toast. Items are reasonably priced. And yes, I would come back in the future.

Shelly offered to call me and talk things through, offering creative ways for us to be able to save on spending; paying in cash to reduce card fees, reducing staff by using disposable plates, moving to one protein, etc. We didn't end up needing to do most of these things, but regardless, she indicated she was on our team and would do whatever she could to help us. She was beyond patient with me and kind the whole way through as I went back and forth on what to do. I had endless questions for weeks before booking. On wedding day, everything went off without a hitch. Her team showed up in professional attire, were kind, respectful, and prompt. They were so sweet and kept telling us how beautiful everything was and how grateful they were to be there. The food was SO GOOD. So good in fact we put the leftover scalloped potatoes, prime rib, and artichoke chicken straight in the freezer on wedding night and are just about to run out. It is still just as good now reheated in the oven! And the desserts went QUICK. If I could change anything, I would have ordered extra. We have too many sweet lovers in the family!

I stopped in for the orange spiced mochi cake, and luck was on my side. The last remaining piece was only a half serving, so they generously gave it to me for free and still included a full piece with my order. Not only was the gesture incredibly kind, but the cake itself was fantastic--moist, chewy, flavorful, and pleasantly not too sweet. The dangerous part is convincing yourself that just one piece is enough. The crackle cookie was another winner. Crisp, chewy, and gone much faster than I'd like to admit. Then there were the coffee cake muffins. Despite sporting a cinnamon-sugar crumble top that looked like it was about to launch a full-scale sugar attack, they were surprisingly balanced and not overly sweet. Just the right amount of indulgence with my coffee. Speaking of coffee, they pull a really excellent espresso. Add in genuinely friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere, and you've got a bakery that's easy to love. I came for a quick treat and left with extra cake, a caffeine buzz, and absolutely zero regrets. Highly recommended--just don't blame me if you leave carrying more pastries than you originally planned.
