I was told lots of nice things but then when they actually did the job they said not needed, not now, next time etc and skipped lots of things - DISHONEST Agreed on one price but charged me more than I was being told over the phone. This was deal breaker for me. Later these guys and the main guy kept me on my toes since their guys won't leave without that extra money and their boss was only available on phone. Nothing good happened to my lawn even after paying $200+. Worst decision ever to call them. I would save your time and money by doing a DIY where you know what you are doing. Wish I would have believed in their bad reviews but went with some positive responses on Yelp. I'm sure that those are their paid reviews. And have seen the owner responding to reviews to look legit or make the reviewer seem dishonest or their problem but what do you say to something where you destroyed my lawn and the weeds is now out of control.

I put a request for service out and Zaragoza was quick to respond. Job: 5/5 Zaragoza came out fast, quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to fox it on the spot in less than an hour. The issue ended up being a broken cap in the ground that sealed off an old part of the system. He dug it up and replaced the cap quick. Customer Service: 4.5/5 He was very nice and personable. In addition, he took the time to explain to me how to diagnose future problems similar to this myself. He gave me several tips and tricks I can utilize for my future lawn care needs. While he was here, I asked him if he could assess a tree and give me an estimate for its removal. He happily took the time to look at it. The only reason it's not 5/5 is because he did not discuss the price prior to fixing the problem. Price: 3/5 I was charged $350 for the whole job. I thought it was a little steep for this particular job. However, I also know I'm paying for the expertise. At this point, I also just wanted this issue handled after dealing with it for 1-2 months. However, the estimate he gave for the tree and stump removal I thought was great. To remove a mulberry tree, he quoted me $550 for the removal and $400 more for the stump removal. I will definitely be calling back for the tree removal. Overall, Zaragoza did a great job and I would recommend!

They planted a beautiful tiered garden of box hedge, azalea and more and added rock gardens around the established trees, creating depth and variety below the porch that coordinates well with the style and color of the house. They installed much-needed path lighting and added charming lighting in the trees with spot lighting from below--all on timers for maximum effect and convenience. They made some improvements to the back yard as well, creating a flagstone patio for our outdoor dining table, adding a flagstone path through our azalea/hydrangea garden for better access, and a flagstone pad--a nice level surface--at the water spigot. From planning to execution, working with Steve and his team was smooth and collaborative. They took what we had envisioned for the space and elevated it with their expert design. The finished product is fabulous. My front yard not only looks great--people stop and comment how lovely it is--it also has added to the property value and is worth the investment! The quality and expertise of Gardelle's work alone speaks for itself, but it doesn't stop there. Steve and the team were great to work with, finished the job on time, and left the work area spotless each day. Five stars for Gardelle. We highly recommend them! --Don and Judy Maderious

We next used Gardelle in 2004 when we bought a fixer upper. This job was a complete demo and re-do. Once again, Gardelle designed a beautiful front and back yard including new concrete decking around the pool, outdoor kitchen, pergola, brick porch, plants, trees, etc. And now in 2026 we had Gardelle back to do some updating to both our front and back yard. Through all three projects over the course of 30 years, Gardelle's word and work has been exceptional and beyond reproach. Gardelle's team is there when they say they will be there and do the work they say they are going to do. Every. Single. Time. Steve and Iliana in the office are extremely responsive and correct issues immediately, even going so far as to fix problems on their own dime, even if its the customers fault. And I should know because over the course of 30 years and 3 projects, I've made a few mistakes! Their quotes are not the cheapest nor are they the most expensive but in this case, even if they were the most expensive, I would still use them every single time simply because the company treats their customers right. It's a rarity in today's world to find a company that is true to their word and stands by their work. I cannot possibly recommend Gardelle Landscaping & Construction any more. The staff and Steve Gardelle are second to none.
