I hired Greentech to install a sprinkler system and front lawn in 2020. The person who oversaw that job, I really liked. A few months later, he disappeared. There was another guy who was good, Aaron, who oversaw my biweekly mowing etc. In the past few years, I've had a couple issues. Mainly dying plants due to not being pruned correctly. I would call or email to correct the situation. The one plant species I told them not to touch were my roses. I didn't have faith in their work. Honestly, I should've let them go a year ago. I knew that. Aaron sold his business, and I thought I'd give them a try. Until today.... I came home to my beautiful, and very expensive, roses completely hacked. They were my favorite part of the yard, growing through the white picket fence with the most beautiful blooms. Not anymore. I watched our security cameras and the way they just completely did a hack job on them. My favorite part of my home is now ruined. Don't hire them for anything other than mowing a yard. read more

Great company ! After several attempts at getting bids for some repairs (some places never even called me back or replied!), Greentech replied and came by the next day to evaluate and give me a price on some irrigation repair. Price was reasonable vs the only 1 other bid I received; and Aaron seemed to know what needed to be done. They arrived the next morning and did the repair in a couple of hours. We additionally had some leaky valves I decided to see if he was able to replace - He replaced them that afternoon with higher quality valves. We did have 1 issue several days later with 1 of the new valves leaking. We never pressure tested them the day they were replaced due to the fresh glued joints. So this was first time stressing them. I reported the leak and he arrived the next day and addressed the issue (it was a faulty valve). All fixed and working perfectly. Aaron is awesome & very knowledgeable. They provide an excellent Warranty. And their pricing is very reasonable & competitive. I highly recommend this place for your Irrigation & Landscaping needs. read more

Should have read the reviews here before hiring them. They did not do the job they promised. They left work undone, had terrible communication, made promise after promise and kept none, both In terms of work they were to do and when they would do it, and were highly unprofessional. In reliance on their promises we bought additional supplies for the yard and are now stuck with them. Word to the wise, hire someone else! Lest you end up headed for litigation like we are... UPDATE: We received nothing for free from this company, unless you count the headache and betrayal of expected professionalism. Aaron and his team go above and beyond other landscapers I've worked with. They installed my front yard drip system and did my weeding. They replaced 6 valves, installed new drip system, fixed various leaks and fixed sprinkler heads. They did an excellent job! 5 guys worked all day. I'm planning to use them for many more projects. Their price was very reasonable and Aaron had great recommendations, you can tell he knows what he is talking about and really cares about customer service. Good job all around. I had a few different options with repairing my back lawn and they advised me on the pros and cons and what would make the most sense for me - which wasn't the most expensive option. They installed new lines and added custom-built attachments to the sprinkler heads that allow more movement down the line and protect against damage (that was pretty cool). They removed two (?) older timers and rewired everything to a smart timer and showed me how to use it. They even replaced a value and capped another damaged line which wasn't part of the original job. They also gave me a lot of good tips on maintenance and DYI fixes and I can tell they take care if the service they provide and want to ensure you enjoy the finished product. Our new home had a cheap and shoddily installed irrigation system that had multiple leaks and cracks in the valves. Aaron recommended we install a new system with more high quality valves and the results have been great. We no longer have leaks and the system has been working perfectly. He also marked all of our irrigation hoses with the corresponding valve numbers so we know which hose belongs to which valve and walked us through how the irrigation system works. He went above and beyond! When we had a large leak on the backflow valve that Aaron did not install, he fixed the issue for free, even though it was not something that he did the original work on. We recently moved to a new home in which our sprinklers broke the first day we moved in. I called Greentech and got a response that day for an appointment next week with Arron and some price estimations up front for different sprinkler repair scenarios. Arron quickly and professionally repaired the system, educated us on our system (of which we knew very little), and was super helpful with some dyi tips on how to do some upgrades we were quite ready to do just then. Also, when one of the sprinklers started gushing after he left he quickly returned to remedy the issue at no additional cost. First of all I am careful writing reviews after initial service, this might be a one off in either direction. That said, we are working with Greentech for 5 years now on various projects in different sizes. No matter, if we had a big project or a small one, it was handled with the same attention to detail and sophistication. We met Aaron and John first, when we wanted to redesign our back yard and we met with several landscaping companies and some of the quotes we got were completely absurd. Aaron and John understood immediately what we were looking for and made the best offer by far. In the end it turned out a bit more expensive, but this was because we added things we wanted to be done. What we like most, is that their consulting is to the point and precise, means they do not engage in hour long discussions, they are respectful of other people's time. When our side yard project exceeded their planning capabilities, they recommended a landscaping architect who has done a phenomenal job at a very fair price. I have neither interest in nor time for gardening, but thanks to Greentech's care it all looks so great, that people stop by and take pictures for their own inspiration, would have never imagined that. Diligence, persistence, and integrity. Aaron is nothing short of a consummate professional who takes great pride in his work and craft. He came out to replace my old sprinkler heads and with a more water efficient system. While on site, he also uncovered a sprinkler head that had been long forgotten and buried in the middle of the lawn that was causing a major water waste. After 2 hours of digging, he found the head and replaced that one as well. The coolest part was watching him piece the lawn back together after he had dug out 15 square feet. Lawn looks good as new! Aaron also guarantees his work. There have been some times when dirt gets caught in a valve and he has come out free of charge to "tune" his system so that it is running optimally. I did not actually hire these people. However, I wanted to give them kudos for great customer service and responsiveness. I had a sprinkler that was gushing water out and my gardener had forgotten to fix it due to pressing personal reasons. Fortunately, it wasn't an emergency as I was able to shut the entire watering system off. Not good for my plants but good for the current drought situation I suppose. I'm not sure what number GreenTech was (I actually found them under their former name A&J), but they were the only landscape contractor to return my call the same day. Not only did they do that but they were able to come out on short notice on a Saturday. I was very pleased and made the appointment. In turns out my gardener ended up showing up the very day I made the appointment with GreenTech and I had to cancel.But my entire experience with the office manager of the company was such a positive one that I felt like they deserved a good review. read more

I called GreenTech to discuss a redo of our backyard. I had a fairly clear idea of what I wanted and was hoping to find a landscape contractor who could execute the ideas. Aaron suggested a 2:30pm appointment to take a look at our yard. At 2:40 he texted "14 min out". I almost cancelled our appointment right then because arriving 25 min late makes a horrible first impression and I'm looking for a professional who will be on time. When he arrived he didn't introduce himself or apologize for being late, which rubbed me the wrong way. I showed him the yard and tried to explain our ideas, but it consistently felt as though he wasn't listening and definitely didn't have the same aesthetic we were wanting. After we chatted for a bit about specifics, Aaron said he would send a preliminary quote that evening. He did mention that if he doesn't send quotes immediately, he forgets about them. Sadly, this seems to be what happened as it is now 8 days later and I never heard from him again. I even attempted to contact him and ask if he was planning to send a quote, but I received no response. Between the lateness, the disinterest in what I was looking for, and the lack of promised communication, I would recommend against calling GreenTech for your landscape needs. read more

Seeing all these great reviews influenced me to talk about my landscaping project by Alex & John. They didn't take the time to survey my yard to determine where the best placement would be for the extremely expensive plants that I paid for. Since the summer began & plants were not positioned correctly I had to move, & transplant, plants so they wouldn't die. I asked for guidance on the sprinkler system they installed & was only told "download & use an app on your phone," which didn't work because of the placement of the timer & not receiving wireless connection. After they sub contracted out all the work, I haven't heard from them when I asked to walk around the yard so I could ask questions. They weren't the least expensive quote but talked a big game so I went with them & was initially happy until I realized they didn't ask any questions to determine the best solution for my remodel. I would not use them again for landscaping. This is in response to what Aaron wrote about my "unwillingness to communicate." The only time I heard from Aaron upon completion of my project was immediately after I posted my Yelp review. This was over 6 months after the project was complete & then I get calls & texts about "I stand by my work, etc." Funny how there was no movement until a negative Yelp review. I asked his business partner John about walking through the yard after the date of completion because I was under the weather the day they finished. Knowing nothing about gardening, let alone landscaping, I called Greentech for an estimate on making our front and back yards more drought resistant and more attractive. Greentech representative, Logan Campbell, was very knowledgeable and considerate. They did an absolute horrible job at even the bare minimum of work...and the person I worked with knew it. Had a water leak and the leak detection company come by and charged me $400 after 15 min of inspection and said I had to have some sprinkler controls fixed first before they could pinpoint the leak, even though we both knew the super small drips were not the cause of my 1K water bill. Most leak detection companies do not fix sprinklers so I called GreenTech because of the reviews. John and Aaron did a fantastic job fixing and ensuring no leaks were coming from the sprinkler line, which wasn't the problem to begin with. They also spent time diagnosing where the leak was coming from by a combination of manually shutting off each station and then checking if the meter was still running (something the leak detection guy should have done). They did not have to do this and went above and beyond saving me time and money. Also using them on a few other projects and will be using them going forward. Can't vouch for their green thumbs or landscape design prowess yet, but I'm using these guys on anything I can going forward and will update as needed. Aaron asked me to explain the problem that I was having with my sprinklers and told me that he could come to my house after he finished another job in Danville.
