We booked our appointment for last night, but before we went, we got massages along with cupping. I was unaware that you could not float for 24 hours after a cupping treatment. Since it was our Anniversary, they allowed us to reschedule without paying the cancellation fee. That was amazing. We booked the forest room. The float itself was wonderful, but the shower after was lukewarm warm for maybe a minute and then just went straight to cold. If this was my first time, that would have deterred me from coming back, but the last time we were in the galaxy room, the shower was amazing (super hot and on top of that.. it was a steam shower). Im sure the forest room shower was just having a one off tonight. I would recommend the galaxy room. Just a tip, there is no mirror or comb in the room to touch up your hair and make up, so consider bringing one. read more

Not as advertised at all. Very dissapointing as this was highly reccomended by a friend. There were NO LIGHTS in the galaxy room. None. Front desk person had no clue why its advertised as having lights. Really scary for me, who only agreed to go because of the lighting. I have PTSD and it was a very scary experience not being able to find the door. *edit: I contacted the company about their false advertising and my experience and the totally psycho owner blamed it all on me and even told me that his staff member lied to him and told him I screamed at her and slammed the door. First visit yesterday. It was my birthday and I wanted to do something special. I am a high stress person and I must confess it is hard for me to relax and clear my mind of all the busyness of the world. This calm environment helped me realize just how stressed I am. The physical benefits of the magnesium in the bathroom showed through a good n8ghts rest last night and a tremendous reduction in inflammation thought my body and especially in my hands and feet. Rhe one thing that I did not expect was that I did get hot. Researching the internet this morning shows me that this not unusual. It's been far too long since I've been to OlyFloat! I went in feeling the world's pressure, and left feeling calm! Like every part of my tense body was able to relax, and restore. As I sat up, both hips, both knees both ankles all popped, then stretch a tad and both shoulders, elbow, wrists and my neck all popped. It was like releasing the final trapped stress and re- aligning my physical body with the mind and spirit that had just been realigned. I recall my first visit as being a huge panic fest for me because I didn't know how to relax and be alone with myself. I'm grateful that I've grown so much and I'm ok being me. I had been reading for months and months about the benefits of floating. I was very curious about it and since I am a huge fan of "holistic things" I decided to schedule a float. This may sound stupid but I was actually surprised when I floated. Actually ON THE WATER. I half expected it to be like when you sort of float in a hot tub or pool and your butt still sinks. No, I FLOATED in the water. I had that feeling like, "this must be how astronauts feel in space." Completely weightless feeling. And I was so happy that it was warm and not cool. I wouldn't have finished the float if I felt cool or cold. The water was darn near perfect. I was nervous about the sensory deprivation because I cannot stand silence. I prefer white noise (like a fan) if I'm in a quiet room.... But it didn't bother me to have no sound whatsoever. I mean you do hear tiny bits of noise but for the most part it was very quiet. When I got out of the pool I felt like I do after a massage. A little shaky and totally relaxed body. I mean.... Totally relaxed. It took me a full minute or two just to stand up. However, that feeling of relaxation lasted 2-3 days - whereas a massage, my body can feel tense or achy the next day. The float didn't make me feel that way. I definitely will do this again because it's an easy form of self-care!!! read more

Oly Floats is such an amazing, calming and peaceful relaxing environment. This morning I used the deprivation Galaxy Room and (I've used both of them which are top notch) with beautiful showers in both and the floats will calm your nerves and take all stress away. I also had a massage and it was complete with everything I needed to help with my sore muscles. They had water and tea, in between my sessions which was delightful. There is a book of people who talk about their experiences which is best to read. I Ended my morning with the sauna and a nice cold shower. It was something I never really do but I wanted to treat myself with for my personal self care and I feel so much lighter physically and mentally. The staff are so amazing and helpful. Scheduled my first float this morning, and it was such a different calming experience. I loved how attentive and sweet the attendant was. He answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable for my first visit. I loved how silky smooth my skin felt like. I learned awareness on trying to quiet my mind down since we're constantly bombarded with noise. The facility itself it's wonderful and healing. I definitely want to try floating again, I hope I sleep well tonight and see what physical affects I feel. The only gripe I have was the heating. I have been floating for ten years and I really love the vibe of OlyFloat! It feels so much more relaxing than the other local chain of float businesses. It's very clean, comfortable, and eco-conscious. I love the lending library! My first experience was REALLY GREAT. Everything about it was a perfect experience from start to finish! Today we did a couple's float and the customer service just was lacking compared to the first time. It was also *very* cold in the room and in the tank. I found myself having a hard time relaxing because I was borderline shivering and my partner said he had the same issue. Getting out it was FREEZING and we were teeth chattering shivering for a couple minutes until the hot water got going in the shower (the showers are great and the hot water is very comfortable and abundant once it heats up). After the float when the attendant asked how it was I said it was great but mentioned how cold we were and didn't get a response which was odd. I am very much hoping it was a one off because the first time was so great and we just moved here and I'd like this to be my new floating location! Went to OlyFloat again today. I had an early morning appointment. They contacted me about 45 minutes before and said the chambers were too hot, which occasionally happens during colder weather. So, I rescheduled for a couple of weeks later. A couple of hours later they contacted me again to let me know that an appointment today had just canceled and would I want that time slot? I said yes and had another lovely float. I usually use the Forest Room, but I decided to switch it up and try the Galaxy room. Cool shower in there! Another wonderful float. Except for me being the dufus who left his phone on mute instead of completely off and my glucose monitor alarm started going off. Apologies to the other users. They were also kind enough to offer me a half hour sauna due to having to change the appointment. So, I am feeling very cool, calm, and purified. Love this place. You would never guess if you met me, but I've struggled with severe stress and anxiety my entire life. I am always so tense, tired, and focused on accommodating everyone else's needs/wishes. I've tried (many) medications, multiple types of massage, chiropractic, physical therapy, diet changes, yoga, meditation, etc... and the only thing that has been able to even remotely ease my anxiety levels is Craniosacral therapy. I had never heard of it until recently, but thanks to a Google rabbit hole I wondered down, I stumbled across an article about it and it intrigued me. I figured if anything, it would be one more thing to add to my list of things that didn't help. I hopped online and booked a 60 minute appointment at Oly Float (don't remember the gals name I saw) and I was absolutely blown away by how different and effective it was. You stay fully clothed and it's a very gentle, slow moving massage mostly around your head/neck and sacrum. I was able to shut off my racing mind entirely for the first time in my entire life (not exaggerating) and experience a meditative "zen" type state. I've since been back three more times for 90 minute sessions and see Simone. I HIGHLY recommend 90 minutes instead of 60. The atmosphere at Oly Float is very warm, welcoming and non-judgmental. Lots of pretty, glowy salt lamps and a comfortable set up. Simone is borderline magical and has a really calming, nurturing energy and does a great job post-session of explaining what techniques she used and why. I cannot recommend her enough! I'm considering doing a float one of these days, so if I do, I'll be sure to update my review. read more

I had my first float yesterday. The cosy entrance was welcoming, as were the staff we met. The float was well explained and I climbed in to my tub enclosure after a refreshing shower. I was in 11 inches of water and about 1000 pounds of epsom salts and it felt great. I very soon lost track of my aching back and I just leaned into the experience of content weightlessness. It was physically and mentally rejuvenating. I have heard the results can continue to be felt days later and I will have to see about that. But today I feel relaxed and comfortable. I doubt this will be my last float. This is a wonderful experience, especially if there is stress in your life. Treat yourself. read more

I have scoliosis and she knew right away what I needed, Ani even had questions about my scoliosis that no one had ever asked me. I didn't expect to learn something new about myself!
