When I first walked in I was very impressed at how clean, organized, and comfortable it was. They have tons of options for tea, scrubs, natural juice, pain relief cream. The receptionist was a very nice and helpful. When it was time for my massage I could not have anticipated how great it was going to be. Heated table, hot rocks, cups, everything you could ask for. My therapist was very good at asking questions and making sure I was comfortable. She did the best massage I've ever had and I played college football so I've had many. I signed up for the membership because it is actually a very good deal and saves you a nice chunk of money. I will be going back weekly. I have been getting massages for over 15 years on a twice a month if not once a month. The staff was friendly, clean work space and as you walk in feels more of an earthly/incense store vibe. However as we got into talked the hot spots I would like to focus on, and which was odd for me as usually that's where someone would start or have you lay face down, instead it was face up. Where I feel it was like a massage envy type vibe where they don't just give you fully what you want and try to make you come back for another one. The hot towel and cupping was great however didn't seem like the person knew what they were fully doing. Lastly I know the cost of living has went up, but this was my first and last visit as no reason why someone should be paying $200+ for a massage period. I can't express enough how much I love this spa! They have top-notch policies, customer service, and of course masseuses. Many other businesses could learn from Ballaura. First, their policy is extremely flexible. I was a massage member and have a busy schedule. They will allow you to transfer/gift your membership to someone or roll it to the next month if you don't use it in the current month. Second, customer service. They greet you when you come in and provide you with a warm neck wrap. I had to cancel my membership recently due to a move and they easily let me cancel and offered a complimentary sauna session before I leave! I cannot speak more highly of this massage therapy appointment, and this is coming from an ASL interpreter who frequents massages as part of regular upkeep and maintenance: Elena was raptly listening in the debrief. Was quick when allowing for a change. Gave a thorough massage overview before I laid down, allowing my anxiety/neurodivergent mind time to process the order of operations. Asked if there were any points of concerns or areas to be wary of (which is essential for clients with ptsd or on the spectrum). Pressure: solid medium firm (sheer delight) & was communicative when applying further pressure. Focused: Pectoral, Neck, Shoulder Joint/Range of Motion, Wrists, Biceps, Whole Back (focused on strain & plentiful knots in my back), Hips, Legs, Ankles & Feet. Aromatherapy & soothing music choices weren't overpowering, but contributing to serene & meditative state. Allowed for silence in the room & could really recharge. Elena's energy was beyond therapeutic, and I've already booked my next massage (and doubled the length of time). Josie was incredible! She was great at listening to your needs, gave the perfect pressure massage, was friendly, and I couldn't recommend her more. The spa itself was very clean and beautifully decorated on the inside. The lighting in the massage room was a little brighter than what I'm use to at a spa, but everything else was nice. I will note that masks are required for those who don't know. I respect each businesses decision, but just would've liked to know ahead of time when confirming my appt. It's already challenging to breath while lying face down and 36 weeks pregnant so the mask just made it that much harder. read more

I went to Ballaura for the first time last weekend. It was a wonderful experience! I have a 60 min massage every two weeks and have been for over a year. When I stay out of town I visit other spa's. I'm so happy I booked a 90 min massage with Josh! He was very talented and seemed to have a Healers skill!! He used just the right amount of pressure and checked in with me to be sure it was good pressure. He was quiet and moved like he was performing art. My shoulder has been killing me so I finally decided to book a massage and found Ballaura online. I was dissatisfied with the entire massage. I felt that my masseuse wasn't able to apply the pressure I needed, and when I asked for more, she used a cold rolling tool that wasn't much better. 10-15 minutes of a 60 minute "neck, back, & shoulders" massage should not be a scalp scratch. I will not be returning, or recommending to anyone. Left the office more tense/stressed because I paid $115 to be tickled and oiled up in peppermint oil :( read more

My husband gifted me a 90 minute massage with a gift card to Bellaura for Mother's Day, and I was thrilled! I scheduled immediately and landed an appointment with Casey Felt. As a first time mom of a 3 month old I was dying for some relief in my neck and shoulders, as well as working out some post-partum kinks in my hips and addressing an older injury in my back from a car accident. As an LMT myself I've received massages that have ranged from good to bad, and from extraordinary to strange. My experience with Casey was excellent! He managed to address all my issues from a treatment perspective, in a very relaxing and professional manner. He had an attentive and intuitive touch, and I walked out feeling 100% better than when I arrived. I would recommend Casey to anyone looking to relax, but also to those with specific needs to be addressed. Not all therapists are able to find what you're telling them is going on in your body and then address it meaningfully, but Casey did just that and I hope to book with him again soon! read more

I have been cast aside by this establishment. I got a referral from my doctor to get massage services from them, I was never called. When I got ahold of someone on 6/10 I was told that I was going to have to be put on an insurance wait list. She said she would be adding my referal to that list and would call me back to tell me how long i mjght have to wait. I never recieved a call. I emailed them on 7/1. Recieved a response about having a long wait list, and soon someone would call and tell me how long I would have to wait. I still have not been called and put on the wait list. I am in pain, and now it is 8/15, two months later. I asked them in July to just tell me if I needed a new referral to somewhere else. Would that much respect have been so hard?
