What Erica said is true - Lauren will ruin you forever for other massage practitioners! Even those…read morewho are also very good lack her intuition and the wondrous imagination of her spa. She bills insurance effectively and her cash prices are also very reasonable. I've had spells where I've seen her weekly and, now that I live an hour away, spells where I've gone six months without her (heaven forbid! never again!). She has helped me connect with the way emotional crises exist in my body and provided techniques to address them, and she has shown such a depth and breadth of understanding of physiology and that, years later, I find her wisdom echoed in so much of what I hear and see as a fitness instructor and student of yoga. Her spa is my favorite in the world. I've had facials, massage, shiatsu baths, Aqua Chi and Crystal Mud foot soaks, been wrapped in a Chinese infrared blanket, exfoliated with dry brush and amazing sugar scrub from Hawaii, spritzed with rosewater, sprinkled with seaweed, and slathered in avocado. Like, on different occasions. I'll do anything she suggests. It is always sensory magic.

At only 26 years old I have experienced several accidents between being in car wrecks as well as being hit by a bus... Needless to say my body needs massage. It took me years of searching but I finally found her! I have searched high and low for a masseuse that can read my body the way that she does. Lauren always uses the exact amount of pressure that I need: not so much that it hurts but enough to feel a difference. She has given me skull massages, aromatherapy, Hot stone massages, shared techniques for self-care, and has mentored me through the last 2 years. I won't see anyone else and luckily, her flexible schedule makes it so I can see her as much as I'd like. She bills insurance and is a preferred provider for Regence which is a HUGE plus. Lauren is a kind and nurturing soul and I am truly lucky to benefit so regularly from her care.

I hope that they decide to set up some kind of answering service or at least a voicemail to prevent loss of business in the future. I'd like to support our local businesses over the "chains" but when they don't give a dependable way to be contacted - especially after you've already paid for a service - it is extremely difficult to do so.

Emilie at Emzone Massage is a miracle worker!!! If you get massages regularly, you know when your…read moretherapist has the 'massage spidey-sense' and can let their hands guide them to the spots you need help with. Em has this quality in SPADES! I am a former massage practitioner, and while I'll take a massage from anyone, I seek out a professional who can feel their way through through my musculature and tendons, who is attuned to my breathing and any subtle changes I may make so they adjust their pressure and check in with me about my comfort. I have found Em, and I'm not letting her go!! Her availability gets more limited each time I see her, and as much as I would LOVE to keep her a secret so I can get an appointment whenever I want, this woman performs incredible bodywork and deserves as much business as she wants to handle. She is set up to take credit/debit, her new location appears to be a co-op of wellness workers with each provider meeting their clients in the joint reception area. Conveniently located in West Olympia, about 2 minutes from the 101 Automall exit. She will customize music to your preference, if you have one, and I promise you will walk out of there feeling like a new person. Be sure to drink lots of water after, with any massage, but especially if you go for deep tissue; Emilie has some great strength and is not afraid to use it to tenderize even the tightest of knots.
