It's Zen Outside the Chaos for a brief moment. Every time, the experience has been phenomenal. The therapists I've seen have all been attentive, professional, and truly skilled. The environment is clean, calm, and welcoming. I especially love the little touch of soaking your feet in hot water before starting. Such a great way to begin a session, and a fabulous foot massage. They're always respectful, kind, and communicative. I've shared that I've had surgeries on both my neck and lower back, and they always proceed with such care, checking in often to make sure the pressure is comfortable. One note: if you're booking any therapy service over 30 minutes, I highly recommend making an appointment ahead of time. They're getting busier (for good reason). I understand if a business needs proof of vaccination and taking the precautions they need to take for themselves, however, they should've mentioned that vaccination is required prior to confirming an appointment and maybe don't interrogate someone why they aren't vaccinated.

The hot towel and cupping was great however didn't seem like the person knew what they were fully doing. Lastly I know the cost of living has went up, but this was my first and last visit as no reason why someone should be paying $200+ for a massage period. Today was my first massage at Rising Sun, my masseuse was Nancy. It was the best Asian style…read moremassage I've had, and I've had many. The massage was a hybrid of East Asian and Western style. Nancy used similar techniques on both sides of my body but she also focused uniquely on muscle groups and problem areas. It was not a rote and memorized massage like many Asian style salons. Approximately two-thirds of the massage was face down. Nancy has firm hands and the perfect combination of pressure and a calm pace that maintained a sense of purpose. Her pace never seemed too slow. Most of the time was spent on my back, which needed the most work. The face down portion was the best non-therapy massage I've had. The face up portion of the massage was good but not exceptional. It was typical Asian massage, some face/neck, light hands/arms, light legs. The premises were adequate, nothing fancy, clean, and organized. My only critique of the salon is I could hear slight noise from the barbershop next door.
