We rented a 2-storey townhouse unit through our owners membership in Club Wyndham Destinations. It's a beautiful unit with a dedicated garage, two full bathrooms with jetted spa tubs and large shower stalls. The fireplace is real and there are wood logs provided. The master bedroom is massive, the kitchen fully stocked (as with all Wyndhams), but for us the best feature is the enclosed, heated patio with a comfy 4-chairs/table set. It leads to an outdoor deck with a Weber grill. The Recreation Center has a good sized heated pool indoors and outdoor hot tub. You can rent cross country ski equipment or ice skates for outdoor Winter activities. The townhouses are truly young-family-friendly as evidenced by the high chair and booster seat in the front closet. Little Sweden is in Fish Creek, WI, a very cute touristy town. We enjoyed shopping and even attending a local church service on Sunday. For the Summer, we look forward to boating and fishing. We hope to return in the Summer.

The mattresses are probably 30+ years old. I checked for bedbugs and thank god, I don't think we got any while staying. There is mouse feces in the room downstairs. Everywhere smells like mold. The floors and place have not been cleaned probably in the last 6 months to a year. There is 2MB internet service, if you're lucky and no Verizon reception. We left it very clean, but did not strip the beds or wash towels because no instruction was provided on how to manage these items. We swept, ran the dishwasher and left it very clean. We also left a tip for the cleaning crew. There were no instructions at check out nor were there instructions provided in the unit. So, we did our best to leave it ready for the cleaning crew. Several days later their general manager Kay Englebert emailed me to say that we were charging us $250 for cleaning because we left the sheets on the bed, placed towels in the tub instead of a laundry basket we were unaware of, and had two dishes left that did not fit in the last run of the dishwasher before we checked out. $250!!!! I went back and forth in several emails asking for clarification on how we could be charged when no one explained any check out procedures to us nor did they provide instructions in the unit. They had no answer or documentation to show because they never did either of those things. They tried to say they went back in to check the condo and found instructions - but where were there when we stayed?? No where to be seen! We saw instruction on sanitizing our dishes and conserving water and how to use the fireplace if we wanted (but didn't) and that was it. NO INSTRUCTIONS on check-out procedures or expectations. They just stopped replying to my emails and charged my card. I am currently in the process of disputing it with my credit card company. It's so disappointing that this happened because we would have gone back another time, but this horrendous lack of communication all around, poor management, and dishonest way of operating will keep us from ever returning or recommending to anyone else. Stay away if you also don't want to be charged for ridiculous hidden fees! What a nightmare.

Starting in May the galleries, restaurants, beaches, and other resort town shops open and in past visits Egg Harbor was one of my favorites towns - not too busy and not too quiet.
