The mattresses are probably 30+ years old. I checked for bedbugs and thank god, I don't think we got any while staying. There is mouse feces in the room downstairs. Everywhere smells like mold. The floors and place have not been cleaned probably in the last 6 months to a year. There is 2MB internet service, if you're lucky and no Verizon reception. You are literally staying in a dingy black hole. RUN!

Paul and Mert Larsen have pulled together a lovely property. They somehow secured an old, disassembled school house and designed this cabin using some of the timbers from it. Solid and well laid out this beautifully crafted is something that as an architect I really appreciate - a good kitchen for making meals, nice bedrooms and baths, a very comfortable selection of outdoor spaces (firepit, raised deck, exterior hot tub), etc. It was a joy for the whole weekend. It has it all. We came in April - before most towns open so we could decompress and enjoy some quiet and solitude. Starting in May the galleries, restaurants, beaches, and other resort town shops open and in past visits Egg Harbor was one of my favorites towns - not too busy and not too quiet. The entire town is within walking distance although the cabin looks onto a woody area. I highly recommend this place for couples, small groups, and families. Enjoy.

The owner Eedy was very pleasant to talk to and gave good directions. The cabin was clean, with pretty much everything that you need for a weekend. Plenty of towels, cutlery, bedding and pillows. The cabin had two beds and one futon and was pretty spacious for 6 people. Friendly dogs are allowed. The cabin was heated and very comfortable for an early Spring stay. It is located next to two gas stations that have a lot of the supplies (food and drinks) you might need for your stay. The property is close to ATV trails and has a small hiking trail around it for a quiet walk. Situated in the heart of the Wisconsin Northwoods, its a great place to stay if you were headed to the UP. 100% recommend atleast a weekend getaway.

We rented a 2-storey townhouse unit through our owners membership in Club Wyndham Destinations. It's a beautiful unit with a dedicated garage, two full bathrooms with jetted spa tubs and large shower stalls. The fireplace is real and there are wood logs provided. The master bedroom is massive, the kitchen fully stocked (as with all Wyndhams), but for us the best feature is the enclosed, heated patio with a comfy 4-chairs/table set. It leads to an outdoor deck with a Weber grill. The Recreation Center has a good sized heated pool indoors and outdoor hot tub. You can rent cross country ski equipment or ice skates for outdoor Winter activities. The townhouses are truly young-family-friendly as evidenced by the high chair and booster seat in the front closet. Little Sweden is in Fish Creek, WI, a very cute touristy town. We enjoyed shopping and even attending a local church service on Sunday. For the Summer, we look forward to boating and fishing. We hope to return in the Summer.

Owned by a family that couldn't be nicer or more accommodating, this is THE place to stay in Door County. You're on the edge of the peninsula and you have a gorgeous view of Potawatomi State Park and Sturgeon Bay along the lake. They have a few cottages for rent, though, since it's family owned and operated, a lot of the same families that have known these people for years continue to book it up every summer. It's definitely worth checking into, though. Each of the cottages can accommodate a different number of people, so whether you have 2 people in your group, or 7, they can find a place for you. If it's your thing, they also own 2 cottages on an island in the middle of the bay, so the only way to or from the cottage is by boat. I think that's pretty cool! Only about 20 minutes away from downtown Sturgeon Bay, it offers the perfect combination rural and small-town life. The roads leading to it are rarely traveled, so my family likes to take long bike rides along the roads and we're rarely caught around cars. It's also close to Sherwood Point Lighthouse and quite a few other rental cottages. The cottages themselves aren't air conditioned, though the weather is usually pretty cool near the lake. The only other rough condition is the spider and insect population. You're in the middle of the woods, so you have to know you're visiting their world, but I couldn't handle the amount of bug-life I had to endure. I'm kind of an indoor girl, so it's a little more than I can handle after a long period of time. Just for vacation, though, I can try and make my peace with living with the spiders. **shudder** My family and I will continue to visit Robertson's in the future, though, and it'll still be one of the highlights of the year!!

The room was sparkling clean. Pool and hot tub area was a plus, along with the backyard bonfire and private Firepit table outside of our bedroom. The backyard area was so nice backing up to woods, it felt extremely private, peaceful and quiet and only a 4 minute drive to the sister bay beach. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only wish was that they had smart tv or a dvd player as I find local cable television to be a bit boring. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

You put your trash and towels outside your door and they leave you a bag of new towels. Breakfast was 8-10am. Bagels, donuts, muffins, string cheese, flavored non Greek yogurt, juice machine, coffee machine, tea, cereals, packets of plain and flavored oatmeal, apples, bananas, toast, & granola bars. I wish they had boiled eggs and Greek plain yogurt for added protein. There is an ice machine and water refill station in the breakfast room. The staff kept to themselves and didn't interact with guests unless guests approached them. We drove to town. It would be over a mile walk along a country road to get to town. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and I would stay again.

I am writing this review based on the fact that I booked a cottage in October of last year for a…read morefamily reunion in August of this year. My dates were not flexible so I wanted to insure that we had a good place to stay. This had a great location and the Maple cottage appeared to have just what we were looking for. Unfortunately, in January I got an email from the property manager that the owners decided to use the place during the time that we had reserved. They did not disclose this to me at the time of the original rental. The only thing that was said was that they were holding my credit card information and I would be billed 1/2 in January and the remainder due just prior to arrival. Now we are having quite a bit of difficulty finding a rental for that same week. Had I known that this was more of a "maybe" than a reservation I would have booked something else. Just be aware if you try to book these properties in the summer or fall for the following summer, that you may lose your reservation to the owners' personal use.
