Just like the sign says... Good Stuff Cheap. And they keep that promise. Don't sleep on this place. They remind me of the Home Buys in Ridge minus the furniture. They have everything you can think of. Garden, home decor, clothes, electronics, small appliances, toiletries, food, rugs, a very nice book selection, and more. I was like a kid in a candy store. I couldn't believe the pricing on some of the stuff. They are name brands at discounted prices. We mainly go there to get bird suet for only $1.29. The store is organized however there are some sections that are cluttered. So it's kinda like Aldi find, once the items are gone, that's it. We left out only spending $29.00. Most items we bought were under $3.00. I even scored a hard back air frying recipe book. They even have a rewards program which you can join for free. I'm a fan!! It's hard to describe Ollie's in a single sentence because they have SO much to offer. The only down side is that so much could be here today and gone tomorrow. I've been a fan for a few years, and recently I turned my lady on to the place, who instantly became like a kid in a candy store. She loves it now. They have groceries, gardening supplies, auto accessories, a massive section of books ans graphic novels, clothes, carpets and floor decor, beds and bed accessories, tools, "As seen on TV" goods, and LOTS more at epic prices. Ollie's Bargain Outlet's tagline is "good stuff cheap." There are some cases where this is true, other times not. The items in their ads are usually where their biggest savings are found. I always leave having found several deals. Like any bargain outlet, some items are quality and name brand, some are not. Most of the items are obtained through closeout sales. I was surprised to find sporting goods and hardware; particularly spray paint. I usually come here for items in the ad or general things.... Say snacks or home goods. This location is not as nice as the location on the westside of Cincinnati. That one carries large appliances, and is generally cleaner. Ollie's is upfront about food possibly being out of date. Signs posted alert customers of this, and instruct them to notify employees if they find any out of date consumables. Expired food is usually marked down considerably. Due to their signage, I am not dismayed to find items are expired. I make sure to check expiration dates prior to purchasing. Sign up for their rewards card. Points are earned for items purchased. Those points are converted to savings once certain levels are reached. They also send out additional coupons throughout the year. read more

This place is like going to a garage sale. You dont know what junk or treasure you will find. Lots of noname food and household items. My son bought a bunch of noname energy drinks which made him sick. Parking lot is usually full. One visit was enough for me. Buying dated food is not my goal. Mediocre products, terrible service!!! Went to Ollie's on Beechmont Avenue to kill some time before a doctors appointment. Picked up a few items and got in line to check out. We were third in the line of the only register that was open. 15 minutes later another register opened up and the cashier said "whoever is next in line" Because of the crowd behind us we had to take a circuitous route around the front lane f the Register and by the time we got there another customer at the end of the line plopped his items on the belt and the cashier proceeded to check him out. She should have said "Sir, these customers were ahead of you" but didn't even give it a thought. Other customers in the line knew what had happened and were shaking their heads in astonishment. I just looked at my wife and said "I don't need any of this stuff do you?" We both agreed and walked out . None of the employees made any attempt to apologize or appease us. This is a decent location of Ollie's. The bargains here are hit or miss. I usually only head here if there is something specific in their weekly Ad that I want, or if I receive a coupon. The store is bright, but I cannot say its always organized. A lot of stock remains the same (just things that haven't been purchased) but they do rotate new buy outs in. For example, recently I found a great buy on the Swiffer Pet line, which was definitely much cheaper than you'd find at Target. Its a place where you need to be patient and have time to browse. Be diligent about what is a good deal and what is not. Checkout isn't super fast and I find there to be a line most times of day, not because of short staffing, but because this seems to be a busier store. Books, housewares, bath, bedding, pet products, seasonal products, clothing, shoes, rugs, food, and household cleaning are just a few of the categories of many that you'll find here. I guess the bargains are okay, but I don't think they're great or amazing. I didn't see a single thing that I wanted. Ollie's has a lot of books that no one wanted to buy at other stores. There are even a few creepy sections, like an entire section about guns. Maybe you want to do some research before you do murder? Oh, and there are tons of those Christian romance novels! I know I read some garbage, but I judge you if you read romance novels about the Amish. Even if you're my grandma. They also have Bibles here, but I don't know what kind. Probably the kind that people who look at picture books about guns and read romance novels about the Amish would like. If you're planning to commit a murder and saving money is important to you, you could definitely get many supplies here at Ollie's. They carry an awful lot of tarps and also have a big aisle of cleaning supplies. It's definitely not a one stop shop place like Walmart, as I didn't see any guns for sale, but you could save yourself some money! Beware, though. They'd probably catch you buying all this on security cameras and then you'd be totally effed. "I was just stocking up on tarps and bleach," you'd say. Well, no jury is gonna believe that. On the other hand, you'd probably be captured anyway, so you might as well save some money first. Put your savings toward a good defense attorney. read more

On June 24th I made a special trip to Ollie's to purchase a face shield. Unfortunately, they were all out. I like this store because one can find practically anything! I especially like the book section, which is extensive. On this particular visit, the cashier at the front of the store, an older woman, was wearing the face mask around her face. She left from behind the counter and was near the front door when she began coughing, mask around her neck, and she did not bother to cover her mouth when she coughed. Our eyes met, but I did not say anything. I walked around the store, but did not purchase anything. As I was leaving the store I assumed the older man at the check-out must have asked the woman (also older) why she wasn't wearing the mask over her face. She began ranting about how she was "still standing" and her doctor said she did not have to wear a mask, and "if something happens so be it", etc. I do not understand why people are so resistant to such a simple thing as wearing a mask, which might protect others from their germs. I have a compromised immune system due to cancer and heart disease, and I want to protect myself and others so I wear a mask, even though I prefer not to. Wearing a mask has nothing to do with "my rights" it is the responsible thing to do. What happened to consideration for others? read more

I seriously LOVE Ollie's. It is a great place find nice items for a discounted price. The books selection is amazing! We find at least 2-3 books every time we go! We have also purchased a lot of things for our home like towels, rugs, pillows, sheets, and the like. I would definitely recommend checking out Ollie's before purchasing any of these bed and bath items for your home at places like Walmart or Target, because Ollie's has a better quality product for a MUCH lower price. I would say Ollie's is along the lines of something like a BIG LOTS, but bigger selection and better discounts. The only reason why I didn't give Ollie's 5 stars is there is sometimes a lack of consistency and availability of product, but that is going to be an issue at any most discount stores. read more

Their prices on most items are pretty low. I find the best deals on snacks and children's books and gifts. This location doesn't seem to have as big of a selection of items as some of their other stores do. read more

I found Julie C. to be rude and insulting in her review. Ollie's does have great deals on somethings, others are comparable to Big Lots deals. Unlike the commenter I mentioned above, there was a variety of books at this location. Coloring books and educational kids books for under a dollar, cookbooks and much more. I didn't see any "Christian romance" books. The gun books were for enthusists, they don't tell you how to fire a gun or promote violence, something Julie C. Seemed to be confused about. There was literally less than 3 books featuring guns (they was about historical weapons of past wars). We bought our daughter Minnie Mouse bedding at a great price and our son an Avengers bedding set for under $10, both were of a better quality than Big Lots. The aisles were a little cramped with all the summertime ourdoor items but nothing Walmartesque. I won't make a special trip to the store but if I am in the area or I am looking for something specific, I like to check out the inventory. read more

Wish I lived closer to this store; they really do have some nice deals. I would say it's fair to compare this to Big Lots however I think Ollie's might have a larger selection. I love the fact that they carry name brand items for great prices. Paula Dean cookware, etc. Every time I go, I pick up K cups for my mom. $3.99 a pack! I won't make a special trip here but if I am in the Beechmont area, I usually stop in. The book selection isn't bad, you should expect to get what you pay for. This isn't Barnes and Noble. @JulieC, I found her review catty. Some people enjoy books about guns and some people enjoy books about "Christian romance", it's really immature to insult a group of people just because you don't like something. While I am not into those genre of books, I do find some that are more my genre and you can't beat the price. The children's books alone are worth browsing. I found my kids some educational books and learning tools for less than a dollar! They have pretty much everything from houseware, toys, and health/beauty. The prices are cheaper than most big chains. However, when it comes to health and beauty, the big chains have sales that may end up being cheaper. Bedding and things like that are actually priced well here, for the same quality you would get at Walmart for around half the price. My only real complaint is how cluttered the store can be and sometimes unorganized. read more
