I want to this registries to take class 1 knowledge test and one of the stuff ask me my license I gave it to her and all of of the sudden she told me that I can not do test and was very confusing read more

no rating, this location is absolutely the worst registry I have ever been to. The staff was rude and aggressive, there was no regard for any customer in line. Was in line for 1 hour!!! read more

I had to renew my vehicle registration the other day and found this registry which is very close to my work. I expected a big lineup at 2 pm, but it wasn't too bad and they have an express line for people who just need to do a quick renewal. The girl helping me was awesome and super friendly (which I'm not used to after visiting other registries.) I was in and out in a few short minutes without a hitch. Thanks guys! read more

This is my favourite registry to come to for all of my needs! My husband uses a different registry for his vehicle, but we've come here for our marriage license & to order certificates. We will be coming here to update our Alberta health cards as well. The staff are very friendly & informative. The line can get pretty long at lunch but moves quickly. They have a separate line for vehicle registry that moves really quickly. read more

They very bad I went there for my road test advance and they let me to do it .. they said mu car had tinted window and then i call my friend and the old lady said he supposed to be on time but he came from south side and just 2 mint late and still they didn't allow me for the test .. that was my worst experience ever ... shame on you ... read more

My most recent experience with KVP was when I went in on the second last day of the month to renew my registration. I went at lunch time and I figured it would be fairly busy, but once I walked into the line I didn't even have to wait! There were about three or four people behind the counter, so I definitely appreciate that. The guy who processed my registration did it extremely quickly - none of this dilly-dallying that I've experienced at other registries for the same thing. I ended up asking him something and he was really easy going and friendly, easy to talk to. So pleasant! Incredi-bonus, they take credit cards here!! Never have I been to a registry that takes credit - only debit or cash. Now that I know that I will always renew my registration/license here. I also went to KVP years ago to apply for my marriage license, and from what I recall everything went really smoothly with that, too. read more

Great service! I came here after having a bad experience at another registry in town and this place blew me away. I dealt with a total of 4 different people in the process of switching from Sask plates to Alberta and every single woman that helped me was lovely and fast. I was lucky for every time I was in the office there was only a line of 3-4 people but that line triples so quickly. Be patient.. the service is worth the wait. read more

Took two plates in to cancel one and transfer the other. Took a long time to process the transaction. Felt I needed to explain multiple times. The line up was long, like 10 people deep. It took a very long time. I would not recommend going during rush hour. All in all the service was friendly. I did get an apology for the transaction taking so long. Not a bad place, but just very slow. It's a busy area as it is located in Oliver square west right next to the second cup. For some reason I started getting visions of a medicentre line up during my wait. The plus is that in the time I was able to complete 4 or 5 yelp reviews ;) read more

I came here to renew my registration and license. I was looked after by a trainee, who probably shouldn't have been one. She was really good. Prompt, efficient, and nice. The registry office is clean, and orderly. You can have your license photo taken (and by the way, it barely takes a week for them to get your license to you, so not too bad! Any conceivable document you need, KVP can hook you up with quickly, and with a smile. This is my go-to registry now that I love and work downtown. read more

As usual, I waited until it actually expired before renewing my car registration this year, and as usual there was a whole bunch of people in the same boat as me. Even though there was about 6 people in line ahead of me, they had 4 tills open. That's more than walmart has half the time! I had all the documentation that I needed, so things went very smoothly, taking mere mere minutes to get me on my way. I usually find slow registries have more to do with the stupid people in line not having their stuff together when they show up, but the efficient staff here got things moving much quicker than I expected. read more

I have been coming here to renew my license and registration for many years since it is conveniently close to where I live and I have always received good service. They recently renovated their office. It looks great! They have utilized the space well opening the space up and allowing for a better cue system. Since the province is no longer sending out renewal registration notices in the mail anymore, they have a fast line service for those people who are coming into the establishment to just do that. They also advertise on TV screens above of their website and announcements to be advised on. From that I discovered that I could log into their website and sign up to get renewal notices via email/text so that I don't forget next year. They still offer all classes of written/road tests, drivers' abstracts, Commissioners for Oaths services, corporate registration, certificates and registrations and many other services. I noticed that they also carry Last Will and Testament kits for you to purchase and do it yourself which can be handy. Their hours of operation are decent. They are open from 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday and 9-3 on Saturdays. To avoid the rush, I suggest going before 4pm if you can or first thing Saturday morning. Until next year... read more

I love that this location opens at 8am! I had to have some car registry stuff taken care of but couldn't take the time off work to have it done. The service was quick and I was out in about 10 mins. No waiting around for 45 mins! Came here again to transfer over ownership of my car. The young lady behind the counter should maybe consider a new job. I was spoken to like I was a complete idiot. Sorry I've never sold a car before, I come here for your help and assistance. Please treat me with respect and maybe an ounce of understanding! read more

Having waited until the first day of the month to renew our registration, there was a substantial line up at the registry (at least we aren't the only procrastinators out there) and I was expecting a frustratingly long wait. Thankfully, it was neither. The line moved fairly quickly and the staff were all very fast and friendly. There was even an employee moving through the line making sure you had the documentation you needed before you got to the counter. Very efficient. read more

I had to renew my driver's license this past summer, and headed here because I could get to it along a major bus route (something ironic about going to renew your driver's license while having to take the bus, but I digress.). The small registry was staffed with friendly, professional people and I went through the process relatively quickly. This is full service registry where you can get your birth certificate, marriage license, car registration, and pretty much anything else a registry offers. If you go there during the ay, the wait should be quick. read more

This registry office is open at 8am however they only have one position at the counter staffed. It remained that way until we left shortly before 9am. Allow plenty of time as lack of staff and no sense of urgency to a growing line up means you could be there for longer then you expect. read more

Literally takes forever... I see a whole bunch of people in the back... But there is only 2 people at the front desk. This is ridiculous, there's a huge line up extending to the outside of the registry and you have people in the back? Bring your staff up front. When I was spoken to, staff were rude, thus, I would not recommend. read more

I always dread going to the registries but not anymore. Great location. Easy parking. No lineup. Helpful professional customer service!

I have always hated going to the registry to do anything in the past. Long lines, employees who don't know what they're doing so you're waiting until another is done to ask questions. Since moving downtown, I'll only come here now. Line ups go fast, and employees are knowledgable. It's so nice to see. This weekend I had to pay off my parking tickets and renew my registration in my car and I was out of there within 10 minutes. Awesome! read more

KVP completely exceeded my expectations! Today I came in to renew my registration, on a Saturday, on the last day of the month - all things that spell a disaster. My experience was the complete opposite. All tellers were open, and they helped the three people in line in front of me in no time. The gentleman who helped me was super friendly, but still managed to stay on task. Review, sign, pay, and I was outta there! read more

Crappy registry. Both times I went 2 separate women were both rude and ignorant. They were not helpful and we're giving incorrect information to me. They like to feel needed and important ,if you don't kiss their ass they won't help you. Never go here!!!! read more

Horrible, horrible service. Had to stand in line for a very long time and at one point a fellow from a car dealership or something similar managed to be served long before everyone else that was in line in front of him. He appeared to know the ladies working there, hmmmmm, maybe that is how you get better service. I think I will go elsewhere next time. read more

Visited here to renew the car registration, didn't have to wait to be seen as there was a lot of staff on duty. Excellent service which made the whole process very easy, simple and quick. An excellent and efficient service provided by KVP. read more

Incompetent, abysmal service. I took an elderly friend there a few weeks ago to get Alberta Government ID (the kind issued as an alternative to driver's licenses for non-drivers). She provided apparently suitable ID, including a recently expired passport, utility bills showing her current address, and other info sufficient to satisfy the KVP clerk. When the ID was mailed (from Ottawa, I think), it was in her maiden name. Took her back there today to get the problem rectified, she was told to come back with her marriage certificate and an extra $22 fee for some kind of name change. Three trips, well over an hour in their office, and they wouldn't acknowledge any responsibility on their part for this screw-up. I'll stick with AMA in the future. read more

Polite and professional. Very challenging to book a road test though. They do not offer a vehicle like Monarch Registries which is where I ended up. read more

I took my advanced road test/GDL exit test at KVP registries with their driver examiner, Buzz. I had an excellent experience. Buzz was professional, courteous, and provided clear instructions prior to beginning of the examination. I felt comfortable and at ease throughout the test. I felt the exam content was fair. At the end of the test, Buzz clearly explained the areas where I lost points or could use improvement in a professional and polite manner. Buzz was very fair and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend using KVP registries because of Buzz! read more

This road test is very very bad. the people they hire for road test are so picky. I brought my car and They try to find so many problem from my car and them they don't let's me to take the road test and they take my money $73.25. I lost $73.25 Without nothing look like I throw my money in the garbage. please don't go this place. read more

I have visited this location about 6 times in two weeks for various reasons. As tedious as doing registry tasks can be, KVP is a pretty decent location to visit. It is fairly busy during peak times (beginning and end of the month, lunch time), but despite long lines, the staff work hard to keep customers happy and rolling smoothly through the process. I have been to many registry locations where the people dealing with me can barely speak english (which is totally fine, however when it comes to business/licensing/registration for car, companies, etc I NEED people to understand what I am saying and asking for), but this one has well trained staff who actually listen to what you need. The process has been painless, easy and concise. I haven't always brought documentation that was needed and they simply let me know and wish me on my way. No attitude, no impatience. The location is convenient and there is lot parking as well. I would recommend it for a quick stop if you have registry needs. With the line out the door, my wait has never been longer than 20 minutes. Service like this will keep me going here over other locations. read more

I never realized how rude people could be until I went to this registry. The clerk was, downright, the most condescending woman I have ever met, saying things like "I don't understand how such a simple task is so difficult for you" and "wow, you still don't know how to read properly do you?", rolling her eyes and smirking when she overheard my father (who was there with me) mention that the costs of getting a vehicle registered were getting more expensive. On top of the other snarky remarks she threw at the pair of us, you could clearly hear her making fun of previous customers to coworkers after they had left. Completely unprofessional service. If you think that being a polite and courteous customer these days could afford you a modicum of respect, you've obviously never been to KVP. The quality of staff employed here is appalling and is directly related to the quality of service you will expect to receive at this business. Don't be fooled by their rather convenient location, I'd rather drive across the city than go to this one again and I suggest to anyone listening to do the same. Frankly, I'm surprised they're still in business. read more
