This place is always busy but the service is excellent. The people are friendly and there is usually lots of free parking out front. They offer all the usual registry services - registering your vehicle, administering learner's tests and drivers test. This is the closes Registry to me, I've visited them for at least 6 years. The attention can varies depending on the person that is free when you get there but it's been pretty good for me so far. I'm taking one star as when you get into the facility there are two areas, one on each side and you have to pick one but if the assistant on the oposite side as you decide to make the line finished early, the next person in line will get the service even when you got there first. Just a bit of organization will be great, maybe taking a number or a letter or something. At this registry office you can do things like: Driver's Licensing Vehicle Registration Update your AHS information They charge extra if you pay the services with Credit or Debit, so bring cash, they have an ATM in there but they charge a high commission so watch out. Parking its not a problem, they are located in a big business area. read more

The reason I wrote my last review is because I found this registry. Most registries are unusually busy but this one is not.. at all. It makes me think no one even knows it exists. A part of didn't want to even write this review because I wanted to keep this registry to myself.. but I am not a selfish person and am willing to share this gem. It is a pretty big registry, lots of space and lots of staff. They had 6 or 7 people working and there was no wait. I think there was about 4 customers inside. They are extremely fast and very friendly. They really waste no time at all, I was inside for a total of maybe 4 minutes. Even if a line up did form it looks like they would move it a long pretty fast and the place is so roomy it wouldn't be uncomfortable having to wait a little bit. read more

After reading some unfavorable reviews through a search engine my first thought was "It's a registry! How bad can it be?" If you are thinking the same thing let me answer this for you. Very. So frustrating and unpleasant. When I first walked in I saw a sign on the door saying Debit is down, Cash or Credit only. I wasn't sure how much my registration would cost but I had my credit card so no big deal. I was covered. When I got to the counter the person helping me was extremely rude and unhelpful. I didn't even really care, I mean just give me my stuff and get me out of here. Well now I need to change the address on my drivers license because it doesn't match my insurance and she legally isn't allowed to give it back to me knowing it has the wrong address. What? That is absolutely absurd, and definitely felt like extortion. Frustrated and annoyed I agree to pay the extra $25 to get my address changed, and she tells me the total. Definitely more cash than I have on hand, so I pull out my credit card. "Our debit is down." "I know this is Visa." "Our debit does not work you need to pay cash." "The sign on the door says cash or credit card." "Oh really? OK I will try it but it is not working." When I insert my card the number is bigger than the number she told me by about $5. "This total is wrong, you said it was this other amount." "Oh there is 3% surcharge for using credit." "........ It's not my fault I have to use credit, your debit is down. How is it fair that I have to pay extra?" "You can take money out of the cash machine here to pay cash instead." I reached over the counter, grabbed my paper work and my drivers license and walked out the door. I get that the debit being down is not her fault, but after the whole experience the thought of giving them even an extra penny made me sick. Registries maybe won't always be the most pleasant experience, but it shouldn't be this awful either. I agree with the other review that said they felt like beggars asking for registration service. One when they cancelled my son's driver's exam last minute, and then when they rebooked it, they made and error and we arrived at the wrong time and late!!! The absolute worst registry Experiance I have ever had, place would not accept pink card to register vehicles for myself and wife. Agent made us wait on the side and call our insurance company so they could confirm details of our policy to continue regististration, while we were waiting on hold the agent continued to take customers and when we finally got ahold of our insurance company for confirmations the agent was too busy with another customer to deal with our registration. Something that should have taken 15 minutes now was over an hour wait and we still did not get our cars registered, do youslrself a favour get an AMA membership and use the services there and save yourself from bush league service. read more

These people are money grabbers. They fail over the dumbest mistakes and over exaggerate. Don't take your test through Peter. He failed me and my friend first time for advance class 5 and passed 2nd time. He is a CROOK. This registry is quite possibly the worst I've ever been to. Many of the staff speak broken English or barely understand English. There are also many more who have no idea what they're doing. For the first time I went to this registry to do my driver's test for the class 5 and I do not wish anyone else to have the experience I had. The person they assigned me, his name is PETER and he was actually yelling at me while I was driving because I was going slower than I should. I do not think he is allowed to yell and use threats. I honestly could not believe it. He was rude, disrespectful and far from being professional. I almost tell him to get the hell out of my car. I am still considering filing a complain to a higher level of authority responsible for this registry. I really feel sorry if this has happened to other people. STAY AWAY. Changed road test time without contacting us, said it could not be rescheduled without paying again. Refused to refund. Reluctantly accepted changed appointment time (which was highly inconvenient for us). Examiner "Peter" declared my insurance renewal certificate invalid and walked away. When my daughter tried to get some answers, both "Peter" and the staff treated her like garbage. So. Incredibly poor customer service, manipulating situation to steal money from customers, rude staff. Went here around lunch time on Thursday for a registration renewal and was served right away. Service from Raquel was friendly, prompt and competent. When you go in, there's agents to the left and the right - and I counted at least 10 desks from where I was standing and about 6 of those were manned. It seems set up to handle decently high volumes. Large parking lot with easy access in and out. I did take away a star because while I was waiting for my documentation to process - I saw/overheard someone else renewing their license. The agent asked if he wanted to keep his current photo and he said it didn't matter. She asked again and he said that a new photo was fine. She took the photo and the guy came up to her and politely asked if he could see the photo. She told him "oh, we can't let you see the photo," without actually giving him an explanation. I'm not aware of any legislation around this, nor can I fathom any privacy violations - so the only thing I can surmise is that it may be a policy at this registry? Or perhaps just that one agent's policy? I mean - I can see the logic behind it if it's crazy busy - but it totally wasn't. Not to be vane - but if I was told that - I would probably just walk out and go to another registry. Like lady, I don't want everyone handling my license in the next 5 years to see me looking like a troll. P.S. if you're paying by debit the fee is $0.30 flat. If you're paying by credit card - the fee is 3% on your total. As per the signage - these are standard processing fees by the applicable card issuer that this registry (and most registries) passes on to the customer. read more

I was in this registry for my road test. So called but unprofessional examiner named 'peter' failed me. According to him, I did not stop in stop signs, but I know I had stopped in each stop signs until his balls were shaked. He failed me three times with a very minor reasons. I went to another registry and pass in one time. He is waste of time and money. Do not even waste your time with this guy. He is a big time racist. I hope he will be punished what he has been doing and lose his privilege to be an examiner. He yelled me many times during exam time. I think it is not legal. read more

Quick and easy place to get your registration done. Never a line. Staff are all friendly. Easy to access location. Only downside is they charge you $0.30 to use your debit card? The most comonly used method of paying and they charge you for it. Kind of archaic if you ask me. I will keep searching for the holy grail of registries. read more

This is one of the worst registries I have ever been to. The staff is useless, and the Manager....well, its hard to believe she is actually gainfully employed. I just needed to do something as simple as getting a photo id done for my son. I had the day off so I drove him over here as it is fairly close to home and I won't touch the other local registry because the service is so crappy (oh, if I had only known). I called this registry LAST WEEK to make sure I understood what I had to bring in to get the ID started. Today, I walked in with exactly what I was told to come in with....I even went so far as to make sure my son had a bank account so it could be used to verify his address. I had EVERYTHING I was told to come in with. I got nothing but excuses from the moment I got to the counter. They couldn't do it because he didn't have photo ID to prove who he was (??huh??-but why would he be here to get photo ID done if he already HAD it?????)or could not prove who he was (I had the original Birth Certificate with me to prove who he was.....as well as copies of his AHB card and his SIN card-which I was told on the phone would be fine as long as we had the original Birth Certificate). The clerk then proceeded to state (condescendingly)that she would "give us a break" and that I could vouch for him and do a stat dec to verify his address(this has NOTHING to do with the Registry-its legislated, and they have to do it if so requested, or if it is an option-there were no "breaks" here). I was irritated at this point and just told her fine, go and get your Commissioner and lets just get this done. She then leaves the counter and comes back with her "manager" (probably another staff member)who tells me he can't get the ID done under the guidelines because he is no longer a minor and he needs better ID to prove who he is and to verify his address, he has to come in with a passport or something else with a photo on it. At that point I lost it. Neither one of these idiots knows what they are going on about. I tossed their papers back at them, and told the manager I wanted her name, which she refused to give (yeah, I don't like giving my name when I screw up at work either) then I asked her who she answered to at work-her response was "the government"-yeah, ok lady. Someone somewhere is the owner/boss of this registry and I'm going to make sure they know what a bunch of useless individuals they have working there. I went to another Registry and got done what needed to get done with no problems. Yeah...."can't do it" my left cheek. My son is now all set up and just waiting for his permanent card to get here in the mail. Stay AWAY from this Registry. Read and listen to the other negative reviews. It's horrible registration I've ever been.. Staff were very rude . First time I came there and some Indian women didn't want to explain me in proper way looked annoyed because of me. Second time I came to change my driver license from other province and young lady from left side working just laughed at me because I said not in way like she knew and couldn't explain me properly what to do.. seemed she didn't know her responses at her job.. I think one person who knows something is manager and some canadian woman .. other guys who looked from different countries and maybe have git documents recently didn't know how to work properly and couldn't explain in a proper way anything plus even didn't help me with my driving licence said we would be close in fifteen minutes so cannot help you today... and it was because of their failure and they couldn't explain beforehand how to change license and how much time it takes ... read more

Unfortunately I haven't had the same great experiences that other people have had at this registry. I went there to renew my drivers license, which had been expired for about 6 months (yes my mistake I agree, I should really pay more attention). The lady who helped me said I would need proof of address and 2 photo ids. I said I would come back again with my proof of address. I went home printed my bank statement and went back the same day. This time a different lady assisted me. I gave her everything that she needed, but as it turns out they cannot except printed bills or statements, it has to be something that needs to be mailed to your house! The lady was super rude and condescending!! I'm sorry if you hate your job then quit! She acted like she was doing me a favour by speaking to me. I asked for a sheet where these rules were stated. She gave me the sheet and I came back home. Anyway I went to a different registry -armour registry on 66 street and I was in and out in 5 mins. They said I didn't need any proof of address, just and ID and that it should pop up on the computer if they did need one. They were super nice and friendly. I was really very angry at this point!! So Millwoods registry basically dismissed me without even trying to renew my license. I re-read the sheet that this lady gave me and turns out it was for licenses being transferred from a different province! So thank you lady, i will not be returning because of your poor attitude and lack of professionalism. Thank you for wasting my time and energy! read more

Can't comment on anything so far except for their ability to schedule road tests. We arrived for my son's road test and found out he had been double booked with someone else. Even though our test was only 30 minutes, they took out the other person who had a 60 minute test booked. No matter what your experience, waiting extra time for an exam is never fun. Now we are waiting an extra hour for the road test. If you would like a road test at a place that honours the appointments they book, don't come here. read more

Where do I start? First occurrence was when I came in to a get a marriage license. The girl told me that they closed in 35 minutes and that was not enough time. I told her how we were getting married today and how I thought they were open until 9. She said that it takes at least 40 minutes. My eyes teared and j walked away. My husband saw me bailing my eyes outside and he came in with me and walked up to another teller. He asked if we could get married please. The lady did it in 25 minutes ! To add to the mess, the initial girl tried to small talk us! I wanted to rip her face off but I didn't of course. She could of ruined our day by her selfishness and complete lack of customer service and human love. She should be fired. The next occurrence, I came in for my name change because of the marriage. They gave me the forms and said to go home to fill them out. I filled them out in my vehicle and came back in because I had all the information with me. On my way in another girl was walking out crying? Then they told me I had to go get finger printing. I asked where do I go for that, she said she did not know. Ok so I called, I was directed to the downtown police ration, then I was sent to the west end location, to learn you do not need finger prints for a marriage name change!!! This registry is awful! The person who dealt with me was really unprofessional when I booked my road test. she was reading a newspaper while she was dealing with me. when I was talking to her She wasn't even looking at me ; she was so busy turning pages and reading her newspaper. I booked my road test and I got the instruction sheet. it said that rental cars are allowed on there so my husband rented a car for me and it was under his name because the rental companies don't rent out cars to whoever carries learners. ( I couldn't take my own car because there was a cracked on the windshield ) ; When we went for the road rest the examiner said that since the car is under my husband's name I'm not allowed to drive it and he offered the registration' s rental car. It was such a rip off. it costs us lots of money to do a road test.At the end I failed because I had lots of mistakes due to the examiner .It was worth it if I passed the test though. read more

This is the worst registry I have ever been too. The staff are very rude. They do not care to help you at all, they just want to leave. I went in to get a renewal on my license and renew my plate at the same time. First no one wanted to actually help me, everyone looked away as soon as I walked in the office. The women were all talking in their native languages, not English. When they finally decided someone should ask if I needed something they looked down right annoyed i was there. How very clearly. I was embarrassed for them, it was horrible. She was screaming and carrying on it was horrible. I ended up leaving because I was disgusted at her antics. I will never go there again, even though it is close to my house. I will never recommend this place to anyone either. read more
