The weather was perfect, so we finally decided to try this place out since you can only dine outside for lunch. We enjoyed it and plan to return while we are still having amazing Florida weather. (I can't imagine eating outside during the summer!) The highlights included super friendly/helpful staff and excellent food. We each had a small Greek salad, and the salads were generously sized and very fresh. I appreciated that I was asked when I ordered if there was anything I wanted to not include on the salad, and the dressing came on the side already. We split a sampler platter, and everything on it was really good. It would have been nice to either have 2 spinach pies or have the 1 cut in half for us. A few things we weren't keen on included the limited drink selection (unless you wanted pre-canned or bottled drinks), and we were confused about the basic process. First, about the drinks, they do not have brewed ice tea, only in a bottle (ick). How hard is it to make ice tea? Fountain drinks only had one diet option (diet Coke). If you want water, you have to buy bottled water. How to actually order and get our food was not crystal clear. You walk into a kind of lobby and order your food at a counter and pay there. Tip jars are next to each register. You are given an electronic disc and told to set this on the matching sticker on whichever table you pick, and someone brings your food out to you. A little robot comes out with the food trays on it, and it mumbles something neither of us could decipher. Numerous staff mill around, pick up the food off of the robot's trays, and then brings it to your table. If you want something, like extra napkins or drink refills, staff who are walking around will do that for you. Staff also stops by regularly to see if you need anything. They also clear off the dishes after you eat. We did put tip money in the jars. I'm assuming that tip money is shared with the staff outside. But, it was kind of odd having lots of different people checking on us but not an actual server, so we did not leave a tip on the table when we left. I noticed no on else was doing that either. I feel like this is some kind of hybrid system that's trying to fit into a weird niche, not really fast food but not an actual sit-down style place either. If you like Greek food and want to enjoy some great weather while it is still here, I totally recommend this place and suggest showing up early because it did fill up before we left. First time at the new location (finally!) and here are my first impressions. I saw only outdoor seating. It was breezy and a little cooler weather in March. Will have to come back to experience the seating in the heat and humidity of Florida. Views are meh. A pond and the highway (but the music does a decent job shielding the highway noise. Ordered was fried feta (with a flavorful honey), the gyro platter, and the special which was a Stifado (lamb, pearl onions and potatoes) with a side salad. The lamb meat fell off the Brian. Both dishes were very hearty portions. Flavors were delicious. I will be returning. Also for a bit of interest, the food was brought out from the kitchen by a robot. Only complaint is no cups for ice water. Bottled water only. read more

The new space is nice just not sure people will dine here once the weather gets hot and the bugs are out in full force. I just don't see it. Can't imagine what the upstairs restaurant prices will be as it was almost $20 for the lunch special gyro...brought my own water. Used to be $10 for this same meal when they were at the ave's. Also another reviewer mentioned the candy. I guess you get one candy per table no matter how many people and you then have to fight over it. If you're that cheap Olive Tree just nix the candy. Not a bad little place I'd love to outdoor seating and their new place here is so much better than when they were in the Avenues. However the only comment that I have is when they bring the food out it's open on the robot and any fly mosquito could get into the food they need to at least cover the food with some kind of container lid or something. Another great meal at Olive Tree Greek Grill! Hubby had the gyro, along with orzo soup and a fountain drink. I had the spanikopita and a Greek salad with everything( the pepperocini included). We sat in a different spot than we had the previous time, more shaded. It was slightly cloudy outside, and I didn't want to sit too close to the edge of the covered eating area under the second floor of the restaurant. I was at the Viera VA today to file some travel vouchers and decided to try Olive Tree Greek Grill for lunch. As usual since opening at their new location at 5481 Lake Andrew Dr in Viera, their parking lot was almost full. When I got inside though there were several tables open. They have more restaurant space than the parking lot size indicates. I ordered the #1 Gyro Lunch, (Gyro meat on a 7in. handmade grilled pita with Greek salad. Choice of classic beef & lamb combination or chicken & homemade sauce), with black iced tea in glass bottle. You order at the counter as you enter and then proceed to the restaurant seating outside. Robots bring your food out from the kitchen and human wait staff bring you food to your table. The Greek salad was excellent. The Gyro meat, I had beef, was tasty but a bit over cooked, and was still very good. The food was well worth the price, and even better since they asked if I was a veteran and do give a discount to veterans. I will definitely return with family for a nice Greek lunch or dinner. read more

New building and location for a place that used to be in The Avenues. It backs up to I95 but you should know reading this, that it's not a fancy sit down restaurant. They have plenty of tables inside and outside and the servers are robotic. This place has good food but is quite pricey. Two salads and a pork platter is over $65. Also, if you want water your only option is to pay for bottled water. Try out the fresh Greek food and you won't be disappointed. read more

I had been avoiding the new location due to my perception that it would be difficult to pick up takeout. I was wrong. It could not have been easier. The parking for takout and lockers in front of the building allows you to walk up, punch in your code, and leave. Much easier than the previous location. We found some pleasant enhancements to what we normally ordered. The squeezable lemon addition was great, and the tzatziki sauce seemed to be improved; it smelled great and fresh! Id like to first say that this location is stunning. By far the most visually appealing quick service restaurant I have ever been to. The menu is very reminiscent of their old Avenues location but with a few new items and some coming soon greek offerings like pastitsio, and Moussaka. Prices are a bit on the higher side for the portions. The ordering was easy and yes they charge a 3% service fee to accept your credit card which is just plain silly. Building it into pricing is just too simple. We took our pager and got a table for five. FYI the outdoor seating has heating an fans but appears to have no AC. With Florida summer heat and humidity I dont know how they will manage that. First I would like to explain one thing. This is not greek food, not like you will find in Greece. It is Greek American and the difference is obvious. So A handy little robot with its human companion brought my salad and two plates of Saganaki. The salad was delicious and the dressing plentiful. The saganaki was not delivered flaming so it was already kinda cold but tasty. Now a while passed before the greek fries, salads with grilled chicken, gyros, and my lamb plate dish arrived. Niki reported that her salad was a 7 out of 10. Her chicken wasn't dry nor too moist but lacked flavor. Everyone enjoyed the fries and mynbrother enjoyed the gyro. My lamb plate was surprisingly small portion of lamb, cooked well but on the drier and bland tasting side. The beans that accompanied it were delicious. Reminded me of a Fasalaki I had on Agistr. The lemon potatoes were not bad at all a bit on the bitter side. The Fix beer is always a good accompaniment to Greek American food. For dessert we all had the rice pudding and we all agreed its the best any of us tasted. So a good but not great food experience. This visual appeal is over the top and the staff was very helpful, attentive, and friendly. Pano is the big question mark here. Are we going to get more Greek American or real Greek food you would find in Thessaloniki, Santorini, Paros, or Kalamata? read more

Opening just last Wednesday, the new location goes beyond expectations. With a beautiful authentic Greek themed open layout, it brings a unique feel that cannot be mimicked anywhere around Viera. I went with a friend to have lunch. After I found out how to get in (by asking my friend who has been there before) we placed our separate orders, then walked outside to find a table (there's outdoor seating only). We were given pagers to take to our table. My friend filled her cup with ice to take it to our table. I didn't do this because I already had my hands full (using a cane and carrying my bottled iced tea), so I went back for ice after I put things down at our table. It was very crowded and loud. We found a table for two in the shade. When we started to have a conversation we found it very difficult to hear each other (at a small table for two)! Because it was so loud we didn't talk much--just waited for our food to arrive. We took in the atmosphere and I took some pics. My friend's food (Spinach Spanakopita) arrived via robot. A server then got her food from the robot and placed it on our table. When they saw we didn't have any silverware or napkins they promptly got us some. My friend offered to wait to eat her food until after my food arrived, but I told her to go ahead and start. She ate, and my food didn't arrived until when she was about halfway done eating. My food (Lentil Soup, Falafel, Baklava, and Iced Tea) arrived the same way (via robot, then server). It was delicious. I asked for a to-go container so I could take my uneaten food home to eat since my friend was just sitting there because she finished eating a while ago, and it was too loud to talk. A server gave my friend a piece of candy with her meal. She said the candy was very good and tasted like licorice. I didn't get any candy with my meal or with my to-go container. There is a 3% Restaurant Surcharge (for using a credit card?) on my receipt. read more

This new restaurant is beautiful. My friend took me to celebrate my Birthday. Ordering the food took awhile as the menu is a lot to look thru before you order at the counter. I recommend you review that prior to going. Ordering was a pleasant experience and the cashier guided us thru all of the options. We found an outside table overlooking the water and the food came promptly. Another server brought it from the robot to our table and asked if we needed anything further. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. We both ordered the same thing. The way the gyro is laid out you can add as much or as little of the greens, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and olives that you want and eat the remaining as a side salad. The tatziki sauce was delicious and the greek dressing was good as well. We enjoyed our visit. The restrooms were clean. There is plenty of space between tables to feel like you have plenty of space to chat. The mints they brought with the check were so good. We sat at a table for two by the lake in the sun, but that was our choice on a lovely sunny day with a breeze. We came in looked over a fairly extensive menu placed our order, complete with military discount. They have lunch specials, we split the gyro & Greek salad, got an order of Olive Tree fries for a starter. Our food was delivered by robot, after our server had greeted us and brought my husband a glass of water to take his pills with, since he was having a Mythos. Our food was delicious & enough for two for lunch. The Greek music made for a nice ambiance and was not too loud. The covered area has fans, but is a bit noisy in contrast to the open air seating. I have been so eager to visit this restaurant and finally went today with a friend. The exterior of the building is so lovely and promises something even more exciting inside. That's where it ends. Upon entering there was a long line and I thought they were waiting to seat people. Instead, everyone was waiting to order their meals at the counter (think McDonalds). It has a small, rather confusing, market space as you step inside, with a mixture of jewelry and snacks for sale. It seemed random and unnecessary. While waiting - for quite a while - I noticed a robot server passing by and thought, "Ok that's kind of fun, we'll see how that works out." Turns out it is pretty much a novelty and doesn't add value to the ambience. There were cold cases with a variety of drinks that you need to pick out yourself before ordering your meal. Once our food was ordered we were given a buzzer to take to our table and ushered outside. We were met by someone who showed us to a table and gave us our utensils. The seating is nothing special and the area is relatively devoid to decor to transport you into a Greek experience. It felt like sitting outside at any cafe or fast food restaurant in town. It is also quite loud and not conducive to a relaxing dining experience. My friend's food arrived before mine and I waited several minutes before receiving mine. We asked for drink refills and were given them by friendly staff. The food was tasty but somewhat overpriced. What's with the CC surcharge? Maybe we need to start paying cash again... I gave the restaurant 3 stars because the overall experience was Meh. I'm not sure I'd go back. I can get table service and better food at so many other places for the same price. Is there table service upstairs? Does anyone know? I hope the owners will take this review to heart and change the vibe entirely. The new location was quietly opened on 11/19/2025 - thank you Olive Tree Greek Grill for finally giving the city a restaurant that has enough seats where many can sit and enjoy the fresh air, in just about every configuration one could need. It was inspired by the experience of coming upon and through the components of a Greek village and eventually making it into the big city of Athens. You can definitely feel that, but especially in the evening. The quality of the food and the space in which it is prepared and served in, are now commensurate. If you liked their family recipes from the original Old Olive Tree sit-down restaurant in Long Island, which were tweaked only slightly for the fast-casual The Avenue Viera location in Florida - then you should love how their new executive chef - Chef Andres, and his team, with their new equipment, have refined them with the family even more. Old favorites, and new dishes coming soon. The Beer & Wine of their original location has expanded into a full bar with robust beer & wine options. And...when the fine-dining restaurant opens upstairs, that will be next level - as the chef consultant from Greece has a 2* Michelin pedigree and Chef Andres (who also has a DC Michelin-level pedigree) studied with him in Athens last year to develop the new menu. I've been blessed to work on projects with Michelin chefs, we are very lucky to have that level of talent in Brevard again. The mixologist Tori has been concocting some amazing creations and sourcing brilliant spirits from Greece to build them. I can see drinks on the lawn being a popular thing there. It has its own 'entrance' so will be perfect for private events as well. And there will be the Greek bakaliko Market too - with beautiful products sourced from the familial homeland. Viera is lucky to have this and other new venues. For years we have come from Beachside south, and I know people that make the drive from south of Palm Bay and Vero Beach. To the north, from Titusville. Prices have always been fair for the quality of ingredients and the portions. I have never walked away hungry, ever. I personally am not bothered by the card processing fees if I choose to use a card. These card processing fees are exorbitant to the merchant, and although they too do not like them, they are to be expected nowadays to be passed on. Some of the POS systems embed them in your bill and others line-item them. This new system is line-iteming them, so I don't fault the restaurant for that. I am willing to pay a little extra for an outside seat and a pleasant space, as opposed to being claustrophobic. And the service? The staff has been increased greatly with additional front-of-house staff being added into the mix. We are always greeted by name when we go, and if it's someone we don't know, we are greeted with a smile. You can tell that the staff love their new environs. Robots speaking Greek with English translations replaced runners - and the runners were then retrained as attendants in the dining room, counter and expo. Total upgrade for everyone. It's quite pleasant having a dining attendant as opposed to a server. They never made you feel rushed but always made sure discreetly that you had what you needed. Very interesting way to reinvent fast-casual! If you don't enjoy the place, even just nursing a frappe and eating your way through layers of baklava, or you're enjoying one of Tori's cocktails with some delicious mezethes - you are really missing out! This makes me so sad. This was the first time we've ate at the "new" restaurant; we used to LOVE the one in the Avenues and went all time time. Had high hopes for this one but what a let down. No free water?! I was basically forced to purchase a drink cup for a drink I didn't want. I can't drink anything carbonated, they didn't offer tea and only Aquafina bottled water?! Gross. That's the water that's left on the shelves when we have hurricanes and people are stocking up on water. Every restaurant in Florida offers free water. Then you have to sit outside!? The ambiance is amazing, the new location is really a huge step up from the old one. The day was a bit chilly for Florida but there were heaters in the ceiling over the open air seating so it was very comfortable. We anxiously awaited the opening of this restaurant. We had eaten at the one that used to be in the avenues once only and considered it subpar Mediterranean food served in a fast food environment. We were hopeful that now they were going to actually have a sit down restaurant, especially for as long as this restaurant to go up and open. It looks beautiful from the outside, but when you walk in, it's nothing but chaos you wind through a line the noise level is outrageous. You're rushed to place an order with an extremely long menu. I asked for a water cup and was told I had to buy water. I could not get a water cup even though they had a self serve soda fountain. They do deliver your food to your table however, all seating is outdoors with the mosquitoes. A robot brings the food out and servers grab the food from the robot. Our bill was outrageous. My daughter had a Greek salad and a Greek pizza, I had a falafel sandwich, my husband just had a piece of spinach pie, which looked anemic And our other diner had a bowl of soup and beef gyro. He said his soup tasted weird, it was some sort of lemon soup. But he did enjoy his meat. My daughter got one small little container of dressing for her Greek salad and asked for a second one. The waitress told us it would be $1.92 for a tiny little container of dressing. I can go to the store and get more servings than I got for that. Our total bill was $81.81.basically to sit in an overpriced mediocre Greek cafeteria. I asked to speak to the manager and she shrugged her shoulders and agreed with me that $1.92 was a lot for one extra dressing, but it is what it is. I told her don't worry we will not be back. When we placed our order after waiting in line at the fast food type counter at the entrance, my wife and I asked for water as we always do on low carb diets. They refused to give us tap water! They wanted us to order bottled water in polluting plastic bottles but we refused. Then they said they had drinking fountains by the bathrooms outside at the far end of the restaurant. But they also refused to give us any cup or glass; inexcusably rude! And to make things worse the gyro meat was overdone and dry. Olive Tree Greek Grill is a TERRIBLE place to eat. read more
