I received casual and friendly service at 6pm on a rainy day. There were three other customers who had already been served. One customer had just picked up a preorder. I ordered the Olive Cheese Burger, Tater Tots, and a Strawberry Shake. The shake came early. Perfect thickness, but just a bit more strawberry would have made the shake great. Shakes are only available in a medium size that appears to be around 12 ounces. When the Olive Cheeseburger and tater-tots were served, I immediately was impressed with the freshness and the just-right amount of beef and cheese there was on the burger. The buns where too large my opinion, but later I found you can also order the burgers with lettuce wrap (free) or gluten-free (not free). The tots were also not greasy, but were too hot to touch for a few minutes. Also noted, the burger was not greasy. It came with mustard and mayo packs to diy. The burger tasted very salty to me. I think that's from the olives, so I'll try the mushroom or jalapeño version next time. Yes, I'm coming back, namely because i couldn't find other good burger places in this area. I had the biggest craving for a philly cheese steak sandwich and this place popped up on my radar for locations near me in Dallas. So my friends and I came here for lunch to test it out. This place looks like it's been here for a minute, but don't let the outside fool you, because the food here is delicious! I of course ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich with a side of fries, but they are also known for their burgers here. All of us got the same thing so I can't actually vouch for the burger, but the philly cheese was fantastic. I liked that they put mushrooms in the meat to give it a very unique flavor and balance. My own complaint was that the bread was a little chewier than normal. I feel like a sandwich should be a little bit more crispy, but nothing that is make or break it. The sandwiches are big so bring your appetite, and the small French fries are big enough to share so don't worry. Oh my God! You have to have the burgers here. They're made fresh and with burgers, if you don't eat it right away, the buns bet soggy and you can't taste each ingredient on its own. It's a small place in Richardson with about 20 seats inside. We got the house burger and cheese burger and they were both amazing. They will cut it in half for you if you want to. I also ended up ordering their chili cheese fries, this can be shared with a few people for sure but the richness of the chili is countered by the white sauce that is served with it. Also, they have their own jalapeno ketchup, it is spicy but so good! Their condiment station is great, I'll post the picture with this review. We always enjoy eating a juicy burger from Olive Burger. My favorite is the mushroom burger. I have even had the plain burger (finished it for my grandson) and it was so moist and tasty. Their sweet potato fries are to die for! Service is fast and friendly. Ambiance is very casual and they have tables outside also. I would recommend to stick to their burgers because they are juicy, fresh and they are worth the money. Lunch at 11:30am, Dining area was clean. My only concern was about the hamburger, it was a thin patty and it was raw . (Also it was greasy and the lettuce looked a day old). I thought fast food establishments were required to cook hamburgers til they were well-done. The person that took the order said ALL hamburger places cook them 'medium'. Just became my favorite burger place in Richardson/Plano. I got the House Burger with sweet potato fries and the girl got the mushroom burger. The house burger is the way to go. Cheesy, a little spice, grilled onions and fresh lettuce and tomato (no shrooms for me).Also, I'm a big fan of sweet potato fries when they are done right, and friends and neighbors, these are done right. Crispy but thick cut so plenty of that good sweet flavor (they got some good jalepeno ketchup too). I'll be back for the house chicken sandwich which looked good as well, and also the gyros/pitas. We were in bit of a rush and the order took just under 10 minutes. *Update: the House Chicken sandwich is PHENOMENAL. I saw them pull the breast out to put on the grill and it is well marinated and soaked well before then. I got it grilled and it is lightly charred and JUICY. To say we were disappointed, would be an understatement. The meat on the burger was too salty to eat and was extremely greasy, to where all of the toppings were sliding off. Then, I ordered the cheese fries, and when I was walking up to retrieve my order, one of the employees was taking my fries out of the MICROWAVE!! Are you kidding me?! Was working late tonight so I decided to get something delivered. I have never been to Olive Burger so I thought I would give it a try. Glad I did and this will not be my last try! When I placed my order the site asked how I wanted my burger cooked. I chose medium rare and was almost laughing thinking that I would really get a medium rare delivered from a burger place. Well, I guess they showed me! That burger was nice and pink and juicy. Great job to whomever cooked it! Well, it's called Olive Burger so of course I had to order the "Olive Burger". This is one of my favorite places to get a "gourmet" burger in my area. It's a "short order" type place with a small sit-down area, and always seems to be packed -so often times, I'll get an order to go -as many others do. There's usually a bit of a wait at lunch, but no more so than most really good buffet-style places down the road. Good value. The "Jalapeño Chicken" was definitely a frozen patty. I could've made it home and done a much better job. When I eat a chicken sandwich I expect the breading to be crisp and seasoned. The rest of the fillings were similarly underwhelming and the bun was soft and cheap. The "House Burger" has some decent flavor from the beef bacon and cheese, but again the bun was underwhelming. The "Onion Rings" were more ring than onion, and the batter was over saturated with oil. It was greasy gross. The "Sweet Potato Fries" has a nice cinnamon-spice flavor that was unique, but again it was mostly the fried part. Didn't even feel like I was biting into a sweet potato. WOW, the best burger and sweet potato fries combo I have had! Got a mushroom cheeseburger and added avocado on it (so great customization options!). So tasty! From the outside, you don't really know what to expect of the restaurant but the whole experience from ordering to eating your order was pleasant. The staff was very friendly and quick in getting orders out. Sides are not included in the price, you have to pay extra and order them separately but I highly recommend that you do! I had a not great experience at Olive Burger in Richardson. First let me say food was ok and it was clean. The service by one particular employee was what jinxed the meal. Took my daughter's and two friends there for lunch. My daughter's friend accidentally spilled her soda. It went on the table and floor and her iPhone. We cleaned the table and asked for a mop. My daughter's friend apologized and said she was really sorry and she could clean it up. The employee named Aldo, came out with a attitude and was irritated. He said we have lids why don't you go put one on it so this doesn't happen. He was rude. As I was leaving I asked for a box and asked for the manager who he said was not there. I then asked his name and told him his attitude and response was inappropriate and rude. That she had apologized and that accidents happen. To which he proceeded to be flip with attitude again.
