It is my go-to order at any Maggiano's I visit. My friend ordered the Branzino Crab Imperial. I noticed that the bread was a little different than other Maggiano's restaurants I've been to. Normally, I'm served a generous portion of Italian bread before the meal. However, here they serve some sort of buttered rolls with pinch of flaky salt on top. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, as the bread was delicious. It's just a little different than what I've encountered at other Maggiano's restaurants. This dinner might have been the only time the two of us were quiet during my entire trip to Colorado because the food was really good! My only complaint is that my dish was a little bit bland. It's always been seasoned a bit better at other Maggiano's locations that I've visited... But it wasn't enough to keep me from ever ordering it again. Our server was very good and really attentive to our needs. I also appreciate how sturdy the to-go box was because decided to take my leftovers with me to the airport. The bag and container got a little beat up during the security screening but because they container was so sturdy, there was minimal spillage.

The bathroom was beat up and the door going into the restroom was so loud, I thought it was going to fall off. The booth was falling apart as well. It wasn't busy with less than a fourth of the restaurant occupied. Sadly the decades of going to both locations, WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!

When it arrived, the plate was cold, like the meat was lukewarm and the cauliflower was ice cold. Again, we had to ask for silverware and plates for this "family style shareable" plate. We brought the cauliflower temperature up with the server and got new cauliflower after we were done with the rest of the meal. Also, I sat with an empty wine glass and no one stopped to ask if I needed another glass. When the servers did stop by, it was a short interaction and we never even had a chance to ask before they were already walking away. We saw so many people come in and out that they must be doing something right, but for us, our experience was mediocre. If our meal would have been the correct temperature (it was well prepared, just cold) and better execution on the service, we may have had a better experience.

No more!…read more The recent inconsistency with quality is disappointing. 3 examples: 1 - The meatball sauce is extremely salty. 2. - We ordered Minestrone soup that was literally tomato water. 3 - We always order our pizza well done as the crust tends to be soggy. The last few times the crust wss still undercooked and soggy. (Awful actually) We like to support small businesses but Carmines is off our list now. By the way a large pizza and 4 meatballs is close to $50. Unacceptable! Plenty of other options including one right across Lincoln
