When we got in we were the only customers, now mind you it's Monday at 11:30 am so I'm sure they barely opened. The place looks very clean and well maintained. I ordered a Hot Caramel coffee which was just a coffee with a little whip cream, didn't taste much different from regular coffee l. For my lunch I had the Unlimited Soup, Salad, and Snackers. The salad is very fresh and delicious and their dressing tasted very homemade and great flavors. I had 2 of the soups and the 1st one I tried was the Cream of broccoli soup which was very delicious and what a great thing to have during a snowy weather day. The 2nd one was the White Bean Chicken Chili, which was very good and it had a little spice kick and I had dipped the snackers in the soup and that was really good as well to have with the soup, for the price it's better to get the unlimited than it is just to buy a bowl of soup. This has got to be the worst place ever!!!!!! It is fairly convenient to my home and the food is good. However, when I order a carryout, the order is NEVER ready on time. I don think say be ever had an order ready on time!!!! I placed a curbside order yesterday. There were NOT a lot of customers going in and out, and there was not a lot of cars in front of the restaurant. I waited 15 minutes past my order ready time and called inside to ask where my order was. 15 minutes!!!!! That is beyond ridiculous!!!! I am sad to say this location has went up and down with quality over the years, but this probably is the last straw was wasting over $70 for a family meal and it being basically in -edible . I do not know if it is just this location or the recipe has changed, but where do I start? The original Olga was the size of a kids meal or what you would think would be one cut in half. This seems to be a theme with all the other reviews and a potential in-house cost cutting measure or employee giving a smaller order and charging full price to keep the difference ? The bread no longer has that sweet iconic taste that it used to. The same could be said for the snackers aside from the cayenne powder toping ,bland and hard. The meat inside the olga was dried hard and about the size of two breakfast sausages side-by-side see the photo. We asked for no salt on one of the fries but they were all over salted ,so bad the kids could not even finish theirs. I don't know if it was just the end of the night, and they did not care or if this has to do with new recipe changes? Even the snacker cheese was like white lumps of butter with no flavoring.It was so weird none of it made sense or tasted normal . I find all of this hard to believe or maybe in my heart hope its not true but since they tried so hard to come back from the potential closings of the business a few years ago and rebranded it has been good for a little while and then seems to be tanking again. I hope this doesn't continue but without intervention this may be the swansong. I will start by saying the hostess was super nice and friendly. Our waiter not as much he was okay but he kept getting stuff wrong I'm assuming he probably just had a long day. The food on the other hand wasn't good at all the snackers were the only thing that was decent. The fried chicken was cold and dry. The fries weren't good at all I just remembered everything from years back being better. The snackers wings were so dry and overcooked and the flavor from the snackers do not go on chicken they should stick to making Olga's because chicken isn't there forte. We've been going to this Olgas for years, but within the past couple of years it's gone progressively downhill. When ordering pickup, the staff doesn't seem to care enough to make sure the order is correct and there are often items missing. Within the past couple of months, several of the full-sized Olga sandwiches are being made on the smaller "Trio" size olgas, but at the same full price. The salad comes with day-old looking pink/orange lettuce, couldn't even eat it. It's just not worth the price and effort. read more

It's been awhile since I ate at an Olga's Kitchen. First I have to say, that the price is not worth what I get for the food. The menu has changed since I ate here last. Same great taste but my sandwich had less meat and onions in it. Salad changed as well, now its a mixed leaf salad instead of just iceberg. Ridiculous price for a hummus and pita appetizer! Not many people sit down in the restaurant, don't know if it was a weekday or just a few hours after the noon lunch crowd. So I love Olgas but something odd is happening at this Olgas that I can't explain and I haven't been back to this location since. The day we went there were multiple spaces available but we were requested to wait. Which is fine but odd because there were only like 4 table that were sat. So now there were two sets of us waiting to be seated. Than a family came in and was seated immediately, while our two parties waited still as if we were forgotten. We were there for only about 15 minutes so not even the issue. The off putting part is than one of three hostess/ cashiers came up and said they had called our name...they had not. So why they can have three people hosting and cashier and only seat like 4 parties is odd and covering an error up by putting it on the customer is also off putting. So now i go out of my way when I want Olgas and go to the Taylor location. read more

I wish it were possible to leave zero stars. Not only was the service terrible, I woke up at 630am with food poisoning. The kind where you pass out in the toilet from heaving. 0/10, do not recommend. If you decide to eat here (the snackers are safe, at least,) stay away from salads and anything else with lettuce. I doubt they wash it or take recalls into account. I worked at Olga's off and on for 9 years back in the 90s. I now live in California and crave Olga's food all the time. I stumbled upon Gold Belly who ships Olga's nationwide. I ordered and received my order quickly! Food was fresh and absolutely delicious!... just like I remembered it. I visited this Olga's location yesterday! I believe this restaurant is newer in this location in Allen Park. It is on nice a lo-key actually, on the "Hill". I think it's in a great spot, Bc there are so many stores surrounding the restaurant to shop at. I usually order the Perfect Pair, and that's what I ordered yesterday. With the half size Classic Olga and seasoned curly fries. Plus a small cup of Broccoli soup. And of course, extra snackers! I love the snackers! And when I went to check in on Yelp, there was a free dessert offer. So I ordered the Birmingham Brownie. Everything was really good! Food and service! Truly I've always had a great experience at this Olga's. They are not pushy, they are nice. I love their food and who doesn't love smackers. I've been there a dozen times and the floor has never seem greasy or dirty. Tables are always open and clean. I went here to eat lunch with my mother this past Saturday afternoon. We ordered humus snackers, spinach pie and original Olga sandwich. The meat seemed to very dry and over cooked on the Olga. The French fries were way to salty to eat. The waitress forgot about us for awhile when we needed refills on our drinks. Even the manager stopped by and asked us how our food was, I asked her for a container to take the humus home in and she forgot to get one, we waited 20 min but never got one, which was a bummer. I love the Olga salad. I always ask for extra olives because I'm an olive addict. The ingredients were very fresh. No wilted, brown or slimy lettuce like I sometimes get when I order salads elsewhere. That is a real turn off and majorly grosses me out if I get even one non- fresh piece. I got the soup and salad with the broccoli soup. The broccoli soup is always good. I absolutely love their Mediterranean feta soup which is seasonal and they say they're not even sure if it will be back on the menu but definitely worth a try if it does come back and you haven't had it. The Orange cream cooler is really yummy. It tastes just like a push-up and takes you back to when you were a kid. I really haven't had anything I didn't like here. The peanut butter and jelly that was NOT on the menu was a tortilla with a GLOB of peanut butter on one side and GLOB of jelly on the other side, so if it at all looked appealing to try it would have ended in a bigger mess! Olga's has always held an interesting place in my mind - rare enough that I don't feel as though I'm eating at a huge national chain, unique enough that I feel the menu has its own character, yet expensive enough that I always feel like I overpaid a little for what I received. Still worth visiting from time to time. I really like the Classic Olga, the Mediterranean, the Peasant Soup, and the White Bean Chicken Chili. I can't 100% honestly say which sandwiches and entrees I had at this location, but every Olga's meal I've had was tasty and prepared correctly, so always expect either good or great from a food perspective. I've only been to this Olga's three times, even though it's the one closest to my house. The first time met my expectations for an Olga's experience - clean restaurant, pleasant service, solid food, a bit pricey, but overall left me happy. The second trip was a carry out - I was overcharged and didn't receive part of my carry out order. I was too far away to drive back and have them fix it. My third (and final) trip to this Olga's was for lunch recently. We were told the wait for a table would be "5-10 minutes." We waited 10 minutes and inquired on status with the hostess. She told us "10 more minutes." We waited 10 minutes. Inquiring again, we were told "10 minutes" for the third time. Since my lunch break, which I can stretch to an hour and fifteen minutes at most, was already half over, I had to grab fast food and head back to work. Very disappointing. I don't mind a long wait - but the "bait and switch" of telling someone a time that is 1/4 the actual wait time is a quick way to garner REALLY bad karma with your customers, even if the hostess is polite about it. It also weirds me out a bit that even though Olga's is a chain, some of them (like this one) have a waiter/waitress and you wait to order. Others are cafeteria style. Others take your order at a counter and then bring it to you. Some are heavy on Mediterranean / Middle Eastern food (which I love), yet others shy away from it completely. I sense an identity crisis across the chain as a whole. If you're already in this shopping center, don't want to explore other options nearby (none of them are phenomenal), and you have plenty of time, this place will likely suffice, but I certainly wouldn't make a trip solely for this experience. read more

Very poor menu. We order Mediterranean plate and got small gyros sandwich which did not included items listed in description.... My friend ordered curly fries and after that ice cream Ice. Ice cream cane first and soon after... fries . When I asked why the waitress looked at us like we are crazy and left without apology or trying to fix mistake . Ice cream was served in small bowl . Just plain very small portions without any nice presentation.
