I will no longer patronize this business. I got my haircut here three time but on my first visit the barber arrived 20-30 minutes late. The second time the barber cut my skin from both sides of my head (did not notice until I left). On the third time, I was the only customer inside of the barbershop with other 4 other people who were talking to the barber. They were very disrespectful using vulgar language, which made me feel very uncomfortable. On top of that the first two visits I got charged $15 dollars but the third time I got charged $20. I guess I got charged tip already? There's a sign on the wall saying that they will charge $20 for fades in 2019 but got charged that price right now. I will take my business elsewhere to another barbershop that actually values their customers. UPDATE: they send me a private message. Take a look. "We value our customers" I have to laugh! Also the two laughing reactions on the post are the people who sent me messages from the business. AGAIN take your business to barbers who actually know how to cut hair versus clowning around and chitchatting throughout your haircut appointment!

They never disappoint. Long as you have an appointment you're straight. I recommend booking with Tim but any of the barbers cut great.

From the moment you walk in, you just know you're in a good barber's hands--and that you're going to walk out looking sharp. I've been seeing Danny for a while now, and what I appreciate most is the trust I've built with him. I'm not just coming in for the same old cut every time--I feel comfortable enough to let him do whatever he thinks will work best, whether it's a seasonal update or just something new. He's got a great eye, and I always leave looking clean and confident. The shop itself is in a super convenient location right off Washington Ave, with a solid-sized parking lot (rare in this area!). It's also right next to Catalina Coffee and Dark Horse Tavern, so whether you need a quick pick-me-up or a drink before or after your cut, it's all right there. Cutthroat even offers a complimentary drink before your service, which is a nice touch--even though I'm usually rolling in last-minute and don't take full advantage. All in all, it's a laid-back but professional spot with real barbers who know what they're doing. Highly recommend.

As others have mentioned, they are pretty rigid when it comes to tardiness so....don't be late. Just as an adult and as a general rule, don't be late. Leave early and allow for unexpected delays to arise, this is Houston after all. If you're 15 minutes early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late. They offer free beverages to enjoy while you wait for your appointment to begin, these vary from local beer to whiskey. If you're interested, you may need to request it, not all of the receptionists proactively offer but it is included. Not a bad offering and is appreciated as these aren't the cheapest services you'll find, but they're in-line with other moderately upscale men's barbershops ($40 beard trim etc) and my experiences have always proven worth it.

Damian took great care of me; great conversation, and a happy to have made a new friend in HTX. Def give this place a go if you're in the area. Fair and reasonably priced as well!

I had an appointment for Friday at 10:45 with Trevor. Let me start off by saying this unfortunate…read morereview is not about Trevor as he is terrific! The best barber in Houston. When I got there, another gentleman was at the door and held it open for me to enter, but started to question if I had an appointment, who I was, what my name was and who I was there to see. His facial expression was one of hostility and aggression. I thought he was perhaps the security guard, but I later saw him at the first space closest to the door cutting someone's hair. I noticed he did not give anyone else the third degree and I felt uncomfortable being there with this individual around. I didn't make a scene as I did not want to present any drama to Trevor, but thinking about this man's attitude has given me pause whether this company values my business. Chophouse needs to train its personnel to be pleasant to anyone that enters the premises whether they have an appointment or not (they supposedly welcome walk-ins), and certainly drop the attitude!
