The owners have redone the inside of this place, maybe a year or two ago not sure exactly when. But it's beautiful inside, great vibe, and ambience! There's a beautiful dining room, but there's also a room with a bar in it and high top tables that go around it! If you're looking for a sports bar with the best food and beer and drinks, this is where you go! I can tell you this cause I've been to all the other sports bars in the area. The highest quality food, drinks made the best at the bar, and plenty of big screen TVs! I'm trying to keep this a secret, but it's really not fair to the tavern. The appetizer should be outlawed. They're so delicious! Their wings and fry cauliflower are a must order! Dinner here is insanely delicious too, I got their salmon and what a generous piece of salmon perfectly cooked! I love the vibes here, but unfortunately during my last visit the food was a little lackluster. We tried some more elevated dishes like shrimp pasta amatriciana and pumpkin pizza. They weren't bad, but not great either. Both were just very bland. In the future I'd probably stick to more classic bar items, like burgers and wings. OH, and an honorable mention for the fried goat cheese balls. Definitely a must-order for an app. Nonetheless, it's a nice place to grab dinner and they do such a good job with cozy holiday decorations. They also have fun cocktails and really reasonably priced beer specials. And they let us bring in our own cake for my birthday! Came here with a big group (over 20 people) after a baseball game and at first things looked really promising. The place is decorated nicely, has plenty of parking, and they were able to seat us in about 20 minutes (kids at one table, adults split across two). Definitely a good start and something I appreciated. Service ended up being on the slower side though. It took about 25 minutes before our orders were taken, which wasn't easy with a bunch of hungry kids. We even tried to make it easier by organizing the checks by the kids' uniform numbers, but that seemed like a foreign concept, which was surprising since the tavern is literally a couple minutes from the town park where baseball, soccer, and football are always going on. Food-wise, my prime rib sandwich was a letdown, pretty tasteless, which was disappointing. Overall, the place has potential with the vibe and setup, but the execution just didn't match. Went for a date night with my husband. The appetizers were great (oyster special and cheesesteak egg rolls). My husband enjoyed his fish and chips. I ordered a Wagyu beef burger medium rare. The waiter came out on the heels of the food and asked how everything was before we had taken a bite, then disappeared for the rest of the night. My "medium rare" burger was well done - flavorless and not even a little pink inside. We didn't see the waiter again until our table was cleared and my glass of wine had been empty for at least 10 minutes. For a $25 burger, this is not someplace I'd come back to. This has become a meet-up place with old friends about once-a-month. It's great because one is vegan, another does not eat carbs and there's us who are "normal". They both come cooked as we asked, but on the cold side. My fires were just warm. We finished with the chocolate mouse cake. Skip it and try something else! Wow, I went to Olde Silver Tavern with some friends (who had been there before and loved it) so I had high expectations. Well, it actually exceeded my expectations! #1- the place is beautiful with all high end tile and lights and wood. #2 The service is outstanding. I was greeted when I arrived and then fortunate to sit at Janet's section. She was a delight and incredibly patient with a large party of people who love to talk. We never felt rushed. #3 The food! I had a Tavern burger and it was perfectly cooked and ridiculously delicious. I saw what my friend's had and I will definitely get the French Dip next time I visit. Everyone loved the food. Oh, I also have to say that their coffee is as good as a fancy cafe. #4 The bathroom. As soon as I stepped into the Men's Room I was like "whoa!" This is something akin to high end restaurants in NYC. The fact that they would pay so much attention (and money) to the bathrooms was not lost on me. We asked that the kids meals be served at the same time as our appetizers so they could start eating and not disturb other patrons. I started out with a tossed salad, my husband had a wedge salad and my son French Onion soup. The kids had pizza and sliders. I had chicken pot pie, very tasty and plentiful. My husband had fried chicken that was very tender. Daughter In Law had a turkey club that was so large she took the rest home. My son had a burger with everything on it. Popped in here for some happy hour drinks and bar food. They have a pretty good happy hour menu with multiple food and drink options. The bar area was spacious and pretty to look at along with the area around it. Everyone who served us was very helpful and patient. My drink was refreshing and the food came out hot. We got the pepperoni pizza and Nashville hot chicken tenders along with a couple of other things. The chicken tenders were crispy and juicy, but I do wish they had more of a kick to them. They weren't spicy at all to me but that may due be due to my high tolerance of spice. The Pepperoni pizza came pipping hot out of the kitchen which I appreciated. Got to see the cheese pull when picking up a slice. The pizza dough had a nice chew to it where I ate the whole thing including the crust. My first impression is WOW! Gorgeous venue inside and out. What a difference from the old place. The fireplace was such a nice touch. It warmed up the space. Acoustics were perfect. It's a pleasure to be able to talk and hear your company. We each ordered a pizza which could have easily been shared and a salad. It had a thin crunchy crust, just the way we love it. The water is filtered which allows the pizza to come out like this. There is a nice space for a party in the rear and a gorgeous bar with TVs. They do charge 4% for use of credit card. I was a former life long Olde Silver Tavern guest and enjoyed the bar pies - my family "The Hye's" have lived in this community for over 75+ years I am only 59, but this tavern old and new has been our stomping ground. Although, the new "Olde Silver Tavern" has taken on the modern day flare, in the decor as well as the pricing and some of the menu choices.. the family vibe is still here welcoming you as before.. My friend Kris and I had the nicest experience as one could have asked for in a neighborhood tavern.. Updating my review after the manager kindly offered to rectify the situation. Danielle offered me another chance to dine in, but unfortunately that wasn't feasible due to being new parents but then she generously offered a meal to go. We ordered the veggie wrap as a sandwich with truffle fries. Both were generous portions so my husband and I were able to share it for lunch. Not only was the sandwich and fries really good, but that small gesture definitely helped these new parents not have to worry about what to eat! We were there Wednesday night for the very first time. The place was fairly full. Got a table in about 10 minutes without a reservation. Sat down and waited 10 minutes. Waitress came over and said she would be with us soon. Another 15 minutes, she said she would be coming back to take our order. Another 5 minutes, she finally took our order. I ordered pork chops, my wife ordered crab cake, and my son ordered chicken pot pie. Food came in about 15 minutes. Crab cake was good. Pork chops were okay but very salty. Chicken pot pie was bad. The pie crust was chewy and the sauce was bland. We could barely cut the crust up with the knife I got for the pork chops. Bill was $100. Very pricy for the quality. Totally not worth it. read more

We ordered sangria and an old fashioned, which were great. The food came timely - we had the Nashville Hot Tenders, Chicken Slider, Fried Goat Cheese, and Pepperoni Flatbread. Tenders weren't too spicy - wish it could have been amped up. Slider was great: grilled and tender. Let's start with this is a first review based on a newly open restaurant. My review for the food is 3 stars and 4 stars for the restaurants appearance. The server explained the very small menu due to working out the kinks, I agree with that entirely. I hope the kinks are worked out and then I will give it another try. I grew up nearby and have fond memories of going for a "bar pie" at Olde Silver Tavern with my parents. I moved cross-country now and still talk about OST. So, when I went home and my aunt mentioned going back to the newly reopened OST, I was excited to check it out. I knew going in to expect some hiccups. We were a party of 9, and it was their grand reopening weekend. I expected dinner to take a while. The restaurant stands on the same site as the original Olde Silver Tavern but it is essentially unrecognizable. I remember the original not as a "dive bar" but as a casual peanut-shells-on-the-floor kind of place. The new iteration is beautiful. We had a reservation for 6:00 and despite the crowd at the door, we were seated right away. After a few minutes of sipping our water, a woman (the manager?) came to move us to a different table. She explained that we were at a table for 12 and would have extra space, and she decided to move us to a table for 8 and pull up an extra chair on the corner, noting that they needed the larger table for larger parties. We later saw them take apart the larger table to turn it into a few 4-tops. No one wants to sit at the extra chair pulled up to the corner of the table. Our server came to take our drink order and took drink orders from 7 of the 9 people at the table. After he walked away, my 2 cousins asked, "Did you get to order a drink?" I teased that they weren't fast enough. When the server came back, I started to order an entree, he said he was only taking appetizer orders. He went to all 9 people and allowed some to order entrees, some appetizers only, then left. Then he came back with drinks for some people and I was able to add my dinner order. We did not have our food yet by 7:30 p.m. I would estimate we ordered food by 6:15 p.m. Every time we tried to get our server's attention, he would duck the other way. A few times he came and made excuses about "the kitchen" but we also had people at our table who never got their drinks, I'm not sure how you blame that on the kitchen. (Even if the kitchen is slammed, can you at least bring a free basket of bread? Or something? 90 minutes?0 The child at our table ordered the kid's menu mac and cheese. You would think you would bring a kid's item quickly because they're easy and you want to keep a kid happy, but no, we saw tables near us getting their adult lobster mac & cheese before our table! Finally, most of the adults got their food, and the kid and one other adult just had to sit and watch while we ate. My uncle ordered a chicken sandwich but a lobster roll came out. My aunt ordered a sandwich plus a bowl of lobster bisque that never came... the waiter blamed "the kitchen" but that was probably misentered on a computer, right? Notably, as I sat against the wall and watched the dining room, I noticed that there were a ton of servers and food runners just kind of milling about looking lost. The most amusing part was watching the food runners bring food around to every table, asking "Is this yours? No? Did you order this? No." I understand a lot of this working out the kinks of an opening weekend. By the time most of us had finished eating, two people still hadn't gotten their meals, one hadn't gotten their soup, and two never got their drinks. The owner (I assume? He never introduced himself) came out to apologize. He offered to make it right with some dessert, suggesting, "maybe ice cream?" (We didn't have a dessert menu so I'm not sure but I'm guessing he was offering the cheapest dessert item.) It's kind of weird to think we would give ice cream to the kid who never got dinner, but my aunt said "No, we don't want dessert, how about a discount for the trouble?" The owner assured, "Yes, yes, we'll take care of it." Then the waiter came with the bill which had no discount except that the food and drinks that never came, or that we never ordered (the lobster roll), were removed. That's not a discount, that's not paying for what you didn't get! My husband went to talk to the manager who reseated us at the too-small table and she explained that was "the discount! " Gee, thanks. My husband ended up finding the owner who had offered to "take care of it." A short while later the manager who reseated us came out and just SLAPPED the bill down in front of my husband and walked away. I guess that's your apology? In the end, they removed a small percentage. I will say that my salmon was excellent and perfectly cooked. But it was hard to enjoy it given the circumstances. My husband's "medium rare "steak had no pink in the middle. He thought about sending the mashed potatoes back because they were somewhere between room temp and cold, but we didn't have another 90 minutes to spare. Lastly, watch your bill. There's a cash discount, or a credit card surcharge, depending on how you look at it, but if you're paying cash you need to do the math and deduct it yourself. read more
