One of the Lewes residents recommended this place during my recent stay, and an excellent recommendation it was! Located about 3 miles from downtown Lewes, there is plenty of parking in the busy shopping center...which I always appreciate. Don't be surprised if there is a long line upon walking in as this place is popular with the locals. The smell of freshly baked bread is the first thing that hits you. There is a wide selection of croissants, cakes, muffins, cookies, rolls, danishes, and of course, loaves of bread. When we returned to the AirBnB, the skinny baguette was still warm and had the signature crispy-ish exterior and nice flaky interior. Spread on some butter with coffee, and that was a perfect breakfast. I forgot to take a pic, but the breakfast bacon, egg, and cheese sando was excellent. Crispy strips of bacon, fluffy eggs, melty American cheese, is contained within toasty bread. At $8.50, honestly that is a good deal since it was large enough for two meals. Service was efficient, albeit perhaps a bit brusk...but it was busy so I'm not gonna detract any stars. The staff behind the counter just want you to give the order and don't have time to engage in too much small talk. From start to finish, a large-ish order of 12 items (including 3 breakfast sandos) only took about 8-10 minutes. In additon to baked goods, there are grocery items, t-shirts/cups, and other retail items for sale. While there is limited seating indoors, if you're lucky enough, snag one of the small table outside to enoy dining al fresco.

As a Shakshuka lover who has spent time in Israel I am quite picky about my Shakshuka but I can confidently say I was pleasantly surprised by this one and enjoyed every bite! The beef soup was a bit bland unfortunately but the salmon toast has copious amounts of salmon and was delicious. The maple veggies were also wonderful. The pistachio honey latte was perfectly balanced not being overly sweet. Service was nothing to note as you seat yourself and get your own food here but staff was nice. Ambiance was alright, we had to sit out in the patio area which while heated was a less than desirable location to eat but it wasn't bad. Overall we truly enjoyed our time at The Station and will be back without a doubt.

Usually the locals using a place is a good sign but here it's a problem. In the week my wife and I recently spent in Lewes we came here several times. There are a few small tables for people to sit at but each day they were all occupied by locals, sitting one to a table taking up all the space while sitting in a circle and talking. They had coffees but were drinking them slowly passing the time and giving off a vibe of 'this is our town go away.' which we did. If this is what the owners want great but this is a town that thrives on tourism and if they can't do something to speed up their staff and get a better control of their space they may well find that visitors can find other places to go grab a morning cup.
