Fresh, flavorful, and some of the best we've had. What really made our visit special, though, was the experience. We enjoyed great conversation, and one of the highlights was seeing the owner's son proudly show us the crab he had caught. It gave us a glimpse into the local fishing life and made the meal feel even more authentic. Great food, warm hospitality, and a genuine local atmosphere made this one of the highlights of our Oregon trip. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

There is so much variety in high quality goods ranging from 50 lb sacks of flour and sugar to sliced deli cheeses, books and kitchen gadgets. There are also sewing supplies, gifts and art supplies. What surprises me as a home bread maker is the quality and price of the bulk foods they offer. They offer several different types of high quality bread flour for far less than you'd pay for at a supermarket. I will be returning for flour, at this price for the quality I will be able to make all the breads I like and not worry about the cost. I also got high quality oatmeal for less than a regular store. The label even states 'no chemicals'. Nice! A lot of these items are all made and produced by various Mennonite farms and locations and shipped here for sale. They also offer quilting supplies in a large corner of the store. Everything you need from the stuffing to fabric to threads and embellishments, this is the place for a creative artisan to gather supplies.

i had stopped at this place to get a cup of coffee. When I ordered the 20 oz., $2.75 cup and had laid down my Bank of America card to pay for it, she told me to get rid of that bank. I ask why , and she proceeded to go on about corperate greed. I just listend to her ingnorance and let her poor my coffee while she continude on about her political views which I never brought up nor asked for. She then told me that she needed to charge me $.50 more for using a card. I accepted. I walked out with my coffee but not without hearing one more remark in reguards to getting rid of "that" bank. I drove around the block a little bugged, so I returned to ask for my money back. She asked why. I said, because i'm afraid you soured the taste of this coffee with your oppinions I didn't ask for. Instead of appologizing to me,, she proceeded to tell me what a jerk I was among a bunch of other names I don't care to mention. It's, funny, she hates Bank of America, but yet is more than happy to use my card to take the money off of it. I wouldn't recomend this place to my worst enemy!!! So do yourself a favor,if you like coffee,go somewhere else. read more

A good sign! we thought, as the place is evidently popular. The girls working behind the counter were clearly overwhelmed, and two in particular were complaining loudly to one another, and I overheard the barista make a pretty rude comment to a regular (she knew him by name). Pastries didn't look too impressive to us (either pre-packaged or too sugary), so we ordered our coffees and then perused the broad selection of wares for sale, a mishmash of tea towels and journals and weird religious art, amongst other things. It took about a half hour for us to get our beverages (a honey latte and an iced latte with oat milk) from the time we arrived, and they were really not worth it. Neither of us finished our coffees and instead endured our ride back to Seattle mostly sans caffeine. Quite disappointing.

We told her she just shrugged and gave us a look that said "I dont care". So we did not get everything listed on the menu for this $48.00 meal. The soup we did get was cold. There are NO listing of teas that are available anywhere on the menu or that I could see from our seat. So we had to ask her if they had is or that and she didn't. My husband was admiring the huge mixer in the lobby, and the owner brought up a picture on his phone of his wife standing by their even bigger mixer in the back. Super cool. We ended up ordering 4 donuts... chocolate frosted buttermilk bar, maple frosted buttermilk bar, regular old fashioned and chocolate frosted old fashioned. Since we showed up so close to closing, he threw in a couple extra donuts on the house! So nice! All the donuts were super fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.
